I'm 33, been married for 6 years. When we decided to do it it felt it was more like a practical thing and it definitely didn't change anything for us in our everyday life, but we both agree that in the long term the fact that we're committed to each other legally adds more to the feeling that we're a family, that we're together in this, on the long run, we chose each other, and we're still choosing each other. It also gives you a bit of a perspective, when times get rough in the relationship, it's one more reason to put in the work to try and fix it rather than leave. I guess all in all it mostly depends on how you see it, it can mean nothing and not change a thing or it can mean this huge commitment that you make towards someone else, a long term choice 🙂 that being said, you are already choosing each other, whether it will be forever or not you will see but you are giving each other years of your lives, and that is beautiful ❤
