Aw that sneeze ❤
I have a book recommendation - Claire Keegan's "Small Things Like These." Very moving, thought provoking and deep. Not light or YA, but gripping.
TJ Nichols Mytho series, MM fantasy where the mythological creatures are refugees from there home world which we destroyed by using science beyond our understanding. Highly recommend, it’s a great read and pretty quick if you get into it.
The last book I finished was Perfume by Patrick Süskind. It’s about a man in 18th century France with a spectacular sense of smell. I highly recommend!
"Aristotle and Dante discover the secrets of the universe" and "Aristotle and Dante dive into the waters of the world" are two books I will recommend to anyone
I love you watch. I'm from Russian
Right now I'm reading The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches! It's a cozy found-family type of story. I think you would like it if you haven't already read it!
I appreciate that you mention you sometimes wish to reread a novel, so i know i am not alone in that. Once you know how the puzzle fit, its nice to go back and see how the build up works. I actually have it now with a SF book - "The first fifteen lives of Harry August" by Claire North. I didn't know what to make of the book in the beginning, it flips a bit between genres, but now i am glad i have read it. I d love to reread it again now i understand the rules of the world she describes. I love books you can think on a bit longer...
What is a good first Brandon Sanderson book to read? I'll add it to my library queue.
I need someone who is a reader and also interested in self-help books and about relationships and languages to read with each other and motivate yourselves ❤😢
Have you read "The Raven Cycle"? It's fascinating YA series with queer characters, ancient magic, tarot, love triangles, cars, religious doubts and cozy suburban vibes. Also I would recommend "The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay". It's an alternative story of creating comics in combination with historical events of mid century and personal quests. And the last will be "Blindsight" - a twisted hard sci-fi about intelligence, loneliness and survival
I read Annihilation this year because it's one of my favorite films. The novel was good but I do think the movie is better. I also tried to read the next two books in the series but I had to give up on the third one because I just couldn't get into it. But I guess I always think the first entry in a series is the best.
I want to get back into reading again but I can't seem to find a book that suits my taste. If any of you here in the comment section knows a book that's like a combination of dark comedy, triller, murder mystery, scandalous affairs, & chaotic characters, please let me know. ❤
your eyes are like two blue opals they’re so captivatingly pretty
"Babel" by Rebecca F Kuang is also a good take on colonisation of magic theme
omg waitttt who's are your guys' bias in katseye?!?!?!
My impression of Legendeborn is that it’s tropey. It’s as if the author puts everything on in from chosen one, to found family, to love triangle etc.
Is Imaginary Friend by Stephen chbosky on your list? He was the author to perks of being a wallflower flower if you liked that. I also really appreciate your approach to content creation 💛 it's more fun watching what makes you happy than you stressing about what you think will make your viewers happy
Hey Chris i wanted to ask can you and Benji make a how much you know your partner video? I really want to watch that😍please guyssss!!
I have had the same relationship as you have with reading. Now that I am ill, I find it more difficult to read and I cannot enjoy books that I used to. I have started reading YA fantasy novels because of my nephew and nieces recomendations and surprisingly I have enjoyed them.
Just in time to watch while eating lunch! Its always nice to watch your recommendations 🐞
Try Anathem by Neal Stephenson. Caution, you may end up as a drooling vegetable sitting in a corner and Benji will have to go find a new b/f.
It's such a small detail, but almost no booktuber does it: You putting the name of the book and the author in the corner is so considerate and helpful!
I just finished reading Annihilation as well, and I even had my dad read it because I wanted to talk to someone about it! He's more of a traditional si-fi reader, so he didn't enjoy it as much as I did; he mentioned that it left him with more questions than answers, but I found that to be thought-provoking and actually beneficial to the plot of the book itself, since the whole point was discovering things in Area X but still not understanding them. In that sense, it really felt like I was exploring alongside the biologist, and the atmosphere of suspense and unease really added to that too. SPOILERS AHEAD >>>>>>>> I actually had goosebumps and felt like I couldn't breathe during the scene where the biologist encountered the Crawler, it was so intense. Also, I enjoyed the fact that the novel is written as a recount of the expedition. This leads me to believe that the biologist is somewhat of an unreliable narrator, since the recounting of events in Area X are dependent on how well (or poorly) the biologist can articulate what she saw, and if she omits or misconstrues events as a result of her unreliable memories or from the effect Area X has on her. Maybe the story would've been different had she not had "the brightness" in her, since that could've been affecting her perceptions of things.......... Just food for thought! I'm still debating whether or not to continue with the series; part of me is content with where Annihilation ended. Thanks for reading this long-winded tangent! I'm excited to hear about what you read next! <3
I recently read Dracula, and im doing a Percy Jackson reread!!
My gosh you are so chill
Now this is how you start off your Friday right! He looks so refreshed and with new energy. I’m glad he took a break so he can come back. Thanks for another quality upload Chris! ❤
Loved your Julian Vlog ❤ and this one too
Now you have to read the rest of the Southern Reach series (Authority, Acceptance , and the latest, Absolution).
Yay we’re back to updates 👏🏽 P.S. Slump Solidarity LFGGGGGGG
ONG FINALLY A NEW VLOGGGG
THAT'S THE PRETTIEST COPY😭😭😭
oh my God! last night i watched a movie called Jacob's Ladder and just realized that you look like the actor Tim Robbins when he's young.
So beautiful 😍
Your enthusiasm encouraged me to take the plunge, and purchase this book after thinking about it for some months. I have read the paperback several times. But I can't resist having this beloved book in such a beautiful design. I think that Folio should give you a commission!
the movie Easy A with Emma Stone takes place in Ojai! :))
stunning!
I have the same!! best money I ever spent!
Muy bello😮
Still my favorite book to today. Any suggestions in the same direction?
I loved divine rivals but I have to agree, I wish the author would’ve concentrated more on the world building and sharing more on the war itself and others stories (we just got tidbits I feel). I also bought it without knowing anything about it and was not pleased to see it was marketed as an enemies to lovers 😅 I hope the next book gives more context on the gods!
The box is called a Slip Case.
Oh I need this
That's so cool ✨️✨️🤩🤩

Boxed books are magical in a way. Creates layers of reveal and desire to open and read. Probably won’t see as many in the future.
So happy for you. I have that copy as well and I love it. It is so gorgeous.
Such a sad ending!
Speechless. How beautiful!! My favorite book of all time is Circe, then SoA... I NEED this omg
Omg!! I have that copy too!! 🤩🤩🤩 it’s beautiful
