    Thank you so much for showing us how to do this. I’ve already gone thru three 7ah batteries. I did the Shengle motor upgrade and gearbox change for my son’s UTV just like how you did it in your other video. Can you please put a link where you got the two 12 volt batteries from? I want to make sure I get the same exact ones so that they will fit. Thank you very much! Oh and I did hit that like button and subscribed for you.

      This is the one I use now (2 of them). It's 20 AH.

      I already have two of them in my shopping cart. I like the way they are absorbent glass-mat technology (AGM sealed) so that I can use them in any position.

    Do you have links to the batteries used? We have never done anything like this but our battery died and the reviews for the replacement batties are TERRIBLE. So while digging further, i found this video

      This is awesome had my son out on our Toyota Helux electric ride on and got about 80 mins use. Def going to upgrade the amps to get more life out of it. Do you have any suggestions on making a portable charging station or just attach a trickle charger to the second set?
      Im thinking to run both for long adventures and swap them when they get low

    First of all thank you for making this content. Its been difficult finding any DIY videos on this UTV 👍👍. How do you charge the batteries? Also, how long does the battery last for?

      Thank you. I charge the battery just like you charge the regular battery. It just takes a little longer as it's a larger battery. As far as how long it lasts, I don't even know. It has lasted so long that kids never use a full charge. I'd say around 3 hours of hard on and off use. Obviously, child weight/terrain has a huge impact on life.

    Why not hook up a DeWalt battery or two?😊

      Could do a 40v Dewalt battery in the big car lol

      That's what I was going to do at first but my buddy said it destroyed his batteries pretty quickly. And they're not cheap

      @@roadtoserfdom3020 I haven't had an issue with mine. After 3 years

    Do you have a wiring diagram ?

    • @igolfandimakestuff2629
      @igolfandimakestuff2629  Рік тому

      I do not. But it's just 2 12 volt battery wired in series to dbl the voltage. To make it 24 volts.

    If you double the batteries does that make it double the amps as well? So 40ah?

    • @igolfandimakestuff2629
      @igolfandimakestuff2629  10 місяців тому +1

      I wired it in series. So stayed at 20 AH but got 24 volts. If you have a 12v kids' toy, you would wire it in parallel and get 40 AH but stay at 12 volt.

      Cool, thanks! I'm going to try your setup. My kids battery died out. What gauge of wire did you use and terminals? Any links?

      @PshhMatt I just used basic parts from a hardware store. Spade conectors, And 12 -16 gauge wire from most hardware stores

      Something like this will work for wire. Most hardware stores, even walmart, have some. Same with spade conectors
