@@marky_11 seems to work fine for me. Where are you based?
Thanks for the review of this monitor!
Pleasure, glad you liked it!
Amazing review, I love watching them.
Thank you!
Great review!
I'm curious to see how this monitor performs in Sim Racing
Glad you enjoyed the video! Think it would be ideal for Sim racing tbh
Great video! What brand of monitor riser are you using here? It would be perfect for my setup too
Thanks! It's a custom one that I've got that fits on my custom desk lol
do you like the KVM switch software on this monitor? can you transfer files directly? detects automaticaly the sources? what about refresh rate, you get 120hz on each source? Thanks!
Hello, does this monitor have PBP (picture by picture) and if so what is the refresh rate?
Thanks
Finally more Large/ultrawide monitors with low input lag, high refresh, and fast response times!
Yup!
Nice review!
Any ghosting during the tests?
Covered in the video...
I was asking your feedback while using, not the UFO toy test. But thank you :)
i know you covered it a bit, but would the monitor work for mainly home office with the occasional gaming session? or is burn in a serious problem?
how does this one fare against aoc agon 49?
That's for you to decide really, but would be fine.
Do you use it with g-sync or freesync?
Would love to see a comparison of this Evnia 49" with the newest/latest Samsung Odyssey G9 OLED (because I cannot make up my own mind ;-))
Not going to happen, sorry!
@@TotallydubbedHD that's too bad, but thanks for letting me know! keep up the good work!
@@JackieFrank thank you!
How was the PBP mode on this monitor? Assume it offers the option to split the sceeen in half into 2 x 16:9 inputs, but did it give options for other splits (e.g. samsung offers split into 21:9 and 11:9 inputs)
Didn't extensively test it, but it worked well for me. See the manual for more info about the resolutions and aspect ratios.
great video. This monitor has a glossy finish?
Covered in the image quality section
@@TotallydubbedHD sorry looks like I wasn’t paying attention good enough 😅 currently at work so not 100% focused on it (work and the video😂)
Also has a glossy panel.. great. Adding it to cart 👌
@@tadejpeckaj1151 pretty sure its not 100% glossy. So its like the AW3423DW ( Or at least it looks the same as that from what I am seeing in person rn of my AW3423DW. Especially seeing as it looks to have the same issue as the AW3423DW where the screen gets mark extremely easily ). So yes it is glossy, but its not on the level of a TV per say.
It seems like the best of both worlds between Asus and Samsung with KVM switch of PG49WCD and 240Hz refresh rate of G9. The only con is Philips took design lessons from Eizo for the back of the screen 😂
Haha!
yeah the casing looks horiffic.
Are you telling me we can have functionally an ultrawide experience on a console???? What's the catch? stretching? zoomed in? If its that good Ill wait for a 21:9 with this tech because this is fucking INSANE! Please cover this specifically more, with comparisons to similar 16:9 OLED displays.
It'll stretch the image for you. Thus, change the aspect ratio (if needed)
I've had my 144hz monitor that I've used for 10 years, unfortunately because it was so old the only way I could get 144 was via VGA and with new GPUs not supporting that IO anymore I had to upgrade, it's a shame there aren't other monitors that are out with specs like this.
well it's worth the expensive upgrade.
Thanks for sharing! But, 144hz super UW 10yrs old?! Which monitor was that lol
@@TotallydubbedHD oh, it wasn't UW, it was a regular 16:9 monitor, it was a cheap one because at the time I didn't know anything about monitors, I just wanted 144hz hahaha, apologies for the confusion.
@@xehP haha thought so, as they didn't exist back then (at that res + refresh rate)!
@@TotallydubbedHD yeah, no I'm going for a massive upgrade, it was just a below standard 1080p 144hz monitor.
@@xehP enjoy!
Do they do it in black? Looks crap in white
Nope
@@TotallydubbedHD that's a shame... Most sim rigs are black
How is the brightness vs the Samsung G9?
Suggest checking the reviews and comparing!
@@TotallydubbedHDAlmost no reviews online..
@@Bjornvarthr there are. My friend Simon, from TFT Central reviewed it. Go check it out.
Is it good for PS5?
😂😂
No this is good with rtx 4090
@@silvijazivic8827 it's a running joke with Adam, don't worry he isn't serious lol
@@TotallydubbedHD 😉
thank god this is a running joke lol.
How is this compared to a g9 oled?
Pretty much same thing, but HDR 1000 has raised EOTF curve - meaning inaccurate HDR 1000 mode (HDR 400 is ok)
what kind of game is this at 1:16
CS2
gigawide
Gigachad 😂

Channeling my inner New Yorken Tony accent haha
