Colours looks washed out, windows UI elements are more dimmer than others, (the whites basically kill you eyes), have a red tint that cannot be fixed because HDR locks some OSD options... I had headaches with this AOC miniLED monitor.
      If you can tell me what settings are using for SDR and HDR, will be really appreciated. Thanks.

    Can you please do a special episode just focused on scanlines? I’m curious as to what mechanisms cause them to occur, how they can sometimes be attributed to panel to panel variation (panel lottery) and why we seem to be seeing this issue more and more with modern LCDs.

    Hi Tim,
    Do you recommend the newer M27Q X (rev. 2) or M.S.I.'s G274QPX? Both specs on paper are almost the same, with Gigabyte having a slightly lower response time and the other model having a 27% higher contrast. Price is negligible in Australia ($10 difference). A significant amount of ghosting in the test for the rev. 1 at max refresh rate is my only concern and I am hoping this issue was straightened out in the more recent version.

    Apart from the QC issues and the aggressive curve, is the G7 a compelling option at 400 USD? most of the caveats I've seen from reviews were always from its top-of the line 700+ USD price point.

    I got my new PC (R7 7700X, RTX 4080, DDR5) for almost a year now and I'm still playing (FPS) games on my 27" 1080p 75Hz monitor lol.
    I'm interested in buying a 27" 1440p 165 - 240Hz Monitor with a max. Budget of $350 if it's even possible with a good panel but I'm still new to all this.
    What would you guys suggest me any tips etc?

    • @History_Repeats-cu5je
      @History_Repeats-cu5je Місяць тому +2

      @@shanksisnoteventhatstrongbruh It really depends on what your use case is. If you are mainly playing multiplayer fps, it wouldn't be wise to get a va panel. But ips also has its drawbacks. The bluish grey cloudy blacks they offer in dark games can be unacceptable, too. Trust me i made that mistake and got a LG 27GP850-b with the worst contrast imaginable 800:1. Now Im struggling to sell it and am stuck with it, because i seldom play multiplayer games least of all shooters and hate the contrast for movies/single player games.

    ~2 years back I bought Dell S2721DGFA for my dad as xmas present it is perfect IMHO
    Now my old monitor will need changing and so I am back looking though I would take S2721DGFA if they were available..
    So I am now looking again, but I will not be getting VA panel, its not like that AOC is available anyway, so I guess its one of the MSI time, probably G274QPF.. but checking rtings review, I am bit worried about lowest brightness MSI got 80 vs Dell 35, and I am one of those who like to have option to go low... to not feel like looking in to lightbulb

    I just bought the MSI G274QPF however mine does not show anywhere the -QD as in G274QPF-QD. When I use the Amazon link provided it does link to the -QD model but it also shows I just purchased this one. The Bar Code label does not show the additional -QD nor does the -QD show on the back of the monitor itself. Now I am wondering if perhaps Amazon may have this specific model cross listed incorrectly? non -QD vs -QD model. If it exists.
    I actually was purchasing, what I thought, was another MAG274QRF-QD to have a matched set on my desktop. I did not notice until I received it it was not the same model. Not sure how I missed it.
