Seasonic and EVGA were really the only power supplies I would personally buy or recommend to others for quite a long time. The melting/blazing PSU debacle from a few years ago did have one fortunate side effect - it brought mass awareness to how important a quality PSU really is. 650w PSUs from these two brands weigh more than most 1000w models from most of their competitors. Cheaping out on capacitors in a bridge rectifier should be criminal. I really can't even recommend EVGA anymore due to the uncertainty regarding their future, as well as their lack of support for the (controversial) 12VHPWR connector.
Them sponsoring the video unveiling the Chroma psu tester was a nice move. That it's taking a long time to get much content from it is a bit or a downer, but understandable.
I feel like Elijah would be the kind of person someone would tell "Don't poke the bear!" and he'd go out and find a bigger stick. Be that in a metaphorical sense or a LITERAL sense.... either one would be applicable.

just insanely well built parts guys, 7075 Billet aluminum is pricey as heck but it looks so good and has that overkill amount of strength . Seeing people in the auto industry use 7075 billet to make engines that produce 2000+ horsepower to a PC case is just mind boggling. Just beautiful work guys.
Can confirm barber chairs make for a great computer chair. I place a wooden board across the arms for keyboard and mouse. Great posture, comfortable and durable. As a larger guy i got tired of breaking office chairs. Its heavy, and expensive up front but cheaper than a replacement office chair every year.
It's so silly and dumb but I completely love it! The Linus, Elijah, and Alex trio are a riot together. But for real the machine work on the case parts are 10/10.
TBH I just love Elijah and Alex's interactions as the newbie alongside the master who we've seen grow from a relative newbie himself! I would love to see a series which is just all the more experienced technical folks have to work on a project alongside Elijah for a day/week and get that real "hey here's the 101 basics for this job" vibe to it. Not only interesting from an informational standpoint, but also giving that fresh perspective of having somebody brand new viewing something for the first time and getting to appreciate how far the rest have come since they were that newbie themselves 😊

Sinister Cases with manufacturing artist Jordan Hart at the helm gives this funny video the backbone in which to flourish. I've never seen a computer case like this before. Mind blown.
i built computers back in the 00's that were one offs. clean room and white gloves. we had custom air brushed cases that were 4-10K$ of art (like falcon NW in a way) (a storage room full of them), unreleased beta hardware from Nvidia, Intel, AMD. we gave these systems as marketing gifts to celebrities - mostly local. vikings, timberwolves, various corporate peeps local to the area. i would sit and build a dozen a month. the average cost being around 8K but having built some upwards of 55K$ with articulating monitors in the sides, raid arrays of velociraptor drives, and FX60's
I'd coat the metal in some of the automotive ceramic clear coats, to prevent oxidation, and some of the anti-oil coatings for eyeglasses, to prevent fingerprints.
Idc what they hired him for. Elijah is a great on camera personality. No personal knowledge of how he is in person but damn he knows how to work on camera. Good choices LMG hiring staff
Oh, they used a matsuura CNC to manufacture the parts ? I recognize that Spindle head that says "maxia"on it. We got those at my work place too. Some MX-520. They work great. But it's mostly for small pieces like you got. They would need a larger CNC if they wanted to make very big parts, like an actual PC case entirely out of aluminium. The matsuura CNC is good software wise. Plenty of maintenance friendly aspect to them. It can be tuned to very small tolerances (like within 0.0003"), though if you use their built-in EZ5, you don't get as good as a result as if you use a Renishaw laser like the XL-80 to calibrate the pitch errors of the axis. (I'm an electronic technician, it's my job to tune them up whenever an operator or a bad program causes an accident).

its the same aluminum that is used in most metal AR lowers, it is alloyed with mostly zinc and its usually heat treated and aged for durability
