I love Kraeuter tools, Nice job, they look great.
Thank you! It is so hard finding Kraeuter tools in my area I hope you have better luck in yours. Keep me posted.
Slip joints rule! 😃👍
Thanks John, Slip joints are pretty cool. But it's the brand I like . You know me I love the Kraeuter.
Those jaws looked good in the first place. Teeth are sharp, and makes me think those pliers are low mileage. When you hit the pliers with the wire wheel after the Evaporust, I noticed a big difference. Nice restoration of a top quality tool with cool handle embellishments.
Thanks Pat, Ya I think they were very low mileage myself. After the evaporust and wire wheel I knew I wanted to go a little farther but wasn't sure how much. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Absolutely perfect resto George. The conditioning belt plus cold blue is my favorite finish for tools. And I am jealous of the awesome Kraeuter pliers,
Mr. John I couldn't have finished them out this well without those belts . Thank you again I really appreciate it. I tried to do a John Fix resto finish. Bring them back to original condition. I'm glad you liked it and if I come across another pair I'll send them down your way.
Those belts sure are good ! Love the way you finished them up George !
Thank you Jim! Those things are gonna be a game changer in the shop. I can't wait to grind on some more s**t.
Great clean up on those pliers mate. The cold blueing turned out really good too. I’m liking your shop and the tool wall. Very nice.
I was watching US Navy pilots landing and taking off aircraft carriers during the Vietnam war with AC DC Thunderstruck playing in the background when your video dropped in. Mate I’m thunderstruck with how those pliers turned out.
Thank you Brother! I was very happy with the results on this one. I was watching Time Team when my video dropped.🤣🤣.
Wow!! Those turned out super neat. I have to also invest in a fiber wheel and conditioning belts myself. They definitely are a game changer. Thanks again and see you next time.
Hey Mike Thank You,, most definitely invest in them .I was extremely impressed with them. Takes a little getting used to.
That kraeuter pliers came out beautiful❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank You Stephen I was pretty excited with the end results myself. I love the Kraeuter brand and am always happy finding and restoring them.
Dude those came out cherry!!! Great job 👍👍👍

Good morning from the Nederlands
Hello and Good evening I'm glad you stumbled across my channel. Greetings from New Jersey!
That's a really nice job on the pliers. Those conditioning belts are on my wishlist too.
Thank You Kid, To be honest I always thought they would be gimmicky.. But holy s**t they really do work great. I would recommend getting them.
@@Uwannawatch - I wanted them ever since I seen 357magdad using them and how long they last. Thanks for the video. I always pick up tips from all you creators. BTW, I just watched ScoutCrafter and now I have to add Red Glaze to my list.
The pliers look great! I'm glad you're having success with the conditioning belts!
Thanks Man. They are gonna take some getting used to.
Very nice restoration, those turned out fantastic. Almost too nice to use!
Thank You. Hell no never too nice to use if they get messed up I get to do them again.😁
Those were nice pliers before you restored them, now they are a thing of beauty! Bad@$$! Great video!
Mike,Mike,Mike! Thank You Brother , it's the first time i have ever seen them and like I said i couldn't have done it without Mr. John Fix! Stay Cool Brother and keep on keeping on.
It's good to see someone who have the same problems I have belts flying off dropping nuts and you leave them in that's why I like your videos keep it up
Thank You Brother. I try not to edit out all the "money shots" meaning my shop calamity..Just keeping it real. You guys all know the struggle is real sometimes..
Hey !George vraiment une très belle restauration de cette pince, une des plus grandes. Et George des gants pour protéger les mains et le capot de la station à bande. C'est pour la sécurité, vaut mieux prévenir que guérir. ❤
Thanks Patrick I appreciate that.
That's a great job it's also nice to see it also has a 3 position slip joint
Thanks Larry. Ya that's pretty cool right..with the 3 positions.
Beautiful restoration George the bluing looked even and smooth. Always a pleasure to watch your channel.

Beautiful result George! I have to get some of those belts.
Thank you Mr. Bill ,most definitely get some total game changer.
They looked really good after the clean that I wasn't sure the blueing would improve them, it did! They look spot on, nice to see the little adjustable too. Great job mate👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Alex. Those little adjustables really do come in handy. I actually use them a lot.
Nice George. I like that finish, I use it some myself. They really look good.
Thank you Mr. Dale. It is a nice finish and I think it was what they had originally.
Awesome job George, those conditioning belts did the trick. I need to find some for my 42". Cold bluing came out perfect! See ya soon brother.
Thanks Fred G! Those belts are really a game changer. See ya soon!
The finish is fantastic!
Thank You! I was extremely happy with the out come.

Thats a nice finish Big G. Well done 🙌👍
Thanks Thunder from Down Under!
Pliers turned out looking great 🔧
Thank you brother I truly appreciate it. I love your handle!
@@Uwannawatch Yeah! Mopar!
Nice end result! Those should be handy to have around.
Thank you and I think they will be handy that's the largest pair of slip joints I've ever seen.
@@Uwannawatch
I found a pair similar but only 2 slip joints and no name on it. I didn't make them as nice as you did yours but I use them a lot and I generally am not a plier guy.
@@upsidedowndog1256 Cool, I seem to find more pliers than anything in the Kraeuter. So of course I have to bring them all home..
WOW! After you cleaned the parts off they looked amazing with or without the bluing.
Thanx for the video my Brother 👍 ⚔️ ✝️ 🇺🇲
Thank You Brother I really appreciate it. I was super happy with how they turned out. Glad you enjoyed it.
@@Uwannawatch My Pop's died last year. I found the same bluing in his garage that you were using.
Now I want to blue something 🤔
@@mistersmith3986 Sorry to about your Pops, It works great just gotta make sure you clean the surface really good first. Keep me posted about it.
george nice slip joints never seen one with a 3 position before you did a really good job on them next time brother P.S. hot down here in the 90's now during the day
Hey Ronald! Thanks Ya the 3 position is pretty cool. Take care Buddy see ya soon. ps hot and humid around here and the oak pollen is crazy!
Great video.
Thank you Brother I appreciate you always checking out my content means a lot to me.
Those came out great! Beautiful work. The handles are awesome.
Thank you brother! Going to Jack town, I'm hoping to find some Diamonds in the rough.
I have never recognized the Kreauter brand prior to finding your channel. They are obviously a favorite brand for you. I have been dismissive of ALL slip joint pliers for my entire adult life. My son gifted me a Snap-On pair of slip joint pliers, definitely the best made slip joint pliers that I have ever held, but I can't find any purpose fir them or any place where they out perform other tools. The Kreauter tools that you show look like common and ordinary tools. That doesn't explain your deep admiration for them. Are they a superior design or material? Are they a collectable prize?
Other channel fans show similar affection for the brand. Maybe some of you can talk about what makes them a prize.
Hey Paul,
Those slip joints are absolutely useless in the real world, unless you are an 8 year old trying to change the wheels on your bike and that's the only tool you have.
Kraeuter tools were made in NJ and for that reason they are sentimental to me.
They are a quality tool and at least for me a rare find in the wild.
@@Uwannawatch Thanks for the answer!
I do own a few things that are just collections. I have a Dake H frame press that has proven basically useless and a Dake arbor press. Both are too small for my needs. I keep them, because I really like Dake and I don't own any of their big brothers. I cleaned up the little Dake and intend to special purpose it for pressing out stuck router bits from collets in the woodshop. I haven't thought about using the little H frame press in probably 15 years having H frame presses now up to 50T. Writing this note inspires me to drag it out since I now have shop space to set it up. It is a manual screw press that might offer some finness for delicate work.
I do own a few trophy machines that I won't likely ever use. I have a Scheer Tumico optical comparator. I want it simply because its previous owner is a hero. I know what it is and sort of how I would use it if I really had a need. I have a little 3 phase second operation speed lathe, that so far serves me no purpose. I thought that I could repurpose the chuck, but didn't do that. It works fine, but so do other options that are more convenient. I bought an American Pacemaker lathe and then discovered that it is heavier than I can affordably rig (about 9.6k). It still sits in the seller's shop. I did bring home a 14" pedistall grinder recently. It is a definite project. The owner repurposed the pedistall, including the tool rests, to display a trophy vise. I "will" use the big grinder to sharpen tooling for the big American Pacemaker when I can get it home, but I need to fabricate the missing base. I generally don't collect just for collecting sake. I did almost purchase and keep a Precision Instruments 1" torque wrench last weekend. I don't do work to justify owning that wrench, so it went to my son. I generally don't think of myself as a tool collector. I collect with the purpose of using tools. I do have several trophies, but most of my collection is in service or projects to put in service.
good morning George
the bluing looks great george 🛠👌🇨🇦🔧
I NEVER cared what the people on the street said, you are TOTALLY RAD and those pliers look AWESOME!
Hey Dan O!!!
@@danohstoolbox Thanks Brother!

George I did not mean to actually be that kind of rude that it came out as sounds bad After reading it I realized I might have stuck my tootsies in my yapper
No worries it's shop talk. nothing wrong with busting the stones.

I see you had to break out your bonnie is in the wild crescent ranch You know some of us like a little more leverage than a 4" 1 you know But hey who am I to complain I'm not your wife
It's not the size of the tool but how you use it.
Here in Minnesota Because where the10,000 lakes state We're talking 4"We like to just tell you the truth It's not how big the rod is But it's how you wiggle wiggle your worm
I have the same pair mine wasn’t in as bad of shape I also have a huge pair of Bonnie’s I found a while back good job
Thanks Mike, Oh Bonney that's sweet! I don't see a lot of the Bonney pliers here.
@@Uwannawatch me either I have two ratchets a half inch and a 3/8 Bonney I don’t see here in Tennessee either
