My dads first bmw suv was a f15 x5 with a 2.0l diesel and that car was so big, beautiful and comfortable, ever since that hes only bought x5s and currently theres 2 of the new x5s in the garage, one is the 3.0l diesel and one is the 3.0l petrol, we would also take these to the grave with us. Incredibly comfortable and daily drivable cars
In Canada the 4th generation pre-LCI came in two body styles (xLine & M Sport) and 4 different engines (xDrive40i, xDrive45e, M50i and M Competition) there's no diesel models; 20in wheels were standard on all models with option for 21in and 22in. For the 2024 LCI base package xLine xDrive40i with the 375hp 3 liter inline 6 starts at $86k (£50k)
Just a question regarding engine reliability, are the 3 litre diesel MHT (mild hybrid) reliable or are there engine problems regarding the new hybrid system?
This exact model is 2020. Looks for model years 2019 to 2023 (it had a mid-cycle refreshed for 2024). The next (5th) generation will launch in 2026 for the 2027 model year
Just based on your intro that can tell you don't know anything about X5 m40i from 2019 to now I have 2020 has none of all and i obeys my command very well even sometimes I tried to abuse it , lovely it is smooth all time.
I love my X5, but trunk space SUCKS. My biggest gripe is that you cant even put a set of golf clubs in length wise, which is a joke. When we go on vacation with our 2 kids, we have to take her QX60 because the X5 trunk space is just way too small.

I am a former master tech. These are very solid. So were the older e70 and F15 generations.
Oil leakers
My 2011 N63 X5 is an absolute boss on the road
Great review on a great vehicle. We love our ‘23 X5!

Extremely difficult to find well-specced second hand because so many people lease base spec poverty models because they can't actually afford one.
We've made it easy to shop across all the specifications right here: www.motorpoint.co.uk/used-cars/bmw/x5
The base model is probably the wise choice anyway
you cant actually afford on either since you're looking at second hand🤣
so many cars done even have the angel eye head lights
In Canada there's HUGE number in used sale. It's one of the best selling BMW along with the X3 and 3 Series.
just brought a x5 45e, awsome car, great mpg to with the electric motor, getting 40 miles on a charge
Glad you're enjoying it - the plug-in X5s are brilliant. -Tim
excellent recap and well presented
Thanks very much - we're just getting started! - Tim
@@motorpoint enjoyed the down to earth way the issues with space and practicality was explained - very refreshing.
sometimes just good to see a big bloke sat there for perspective!
Big bloke sitting down is one thing I can do! -Tim
I love my X5 50D great suv ,thanks ❤️🏴👍
That boot floor gas strut is a nice touch. Usually such a faff to keep holding it up
It really is! Pleasantly surprised by that
Impressed with the review
Impressed with this comment. Thanks! - Tim
You are right. This is the last car you’ll buy because after keeping this car you’ll be left with nothing in your bank. 😅
Especially after fixing all the oil leaks

BMW X5 50d is always my dream suv, What year model this is?

@@Ashley_van_Schooneveld if German automotive industry won't collapse before that time. See Volkswagen case.

Nice hair
totally understand why you'd buy this as your last car - it's the people who get them as their first cars I'm scared of
I don't know which insurance company is brave enough to insure that as a first car :O
@@motorpoint nice 👌🏽 comment
Am after x5m50 diesel 18plate decent miles
Did I miss, what year? is this X5
March 2021-Aug 2021
It’s a 21 plate
I bloody hope you get LED headlights as standard on a premium car of this price! Love this car and thank god its got Android Auto.
25 mpg is thirsty 😂
My 2021 Tahoe on a good day gets 18 mpg in city
I have a 2005 gx getting like 14 lol
25 mpg would make it 39% more fuel efficient than a 2021 Tahoe then.
Man like J yeah
👀
X5 defined the genre 🤓
The original X5 (E53) is still revered and has aged well.
BMW’s are all oil leakers making them way over priced as far as I’m concerned there’s no sense in that to keep happening year after year.

You guys travel with 5 full sized suit cases or something?
@ You’ve clearly never spent a week at the beach with two young kids.
@@noherekruger3738 No I haven’t and what would I even do at the beach for an entire week?
@@AW-gj4jiplay golf..? 😂
