I really didn't understand the appeal of the Safari-style cars but seeing how happy it made you guys and how fun it looks to drive I guess you changed my mind.
@harrismi7 there enthusiastic helps sell the car. My favourite is when you buy a car than they review it and they’re more amazed than the owner. it makes you nice the baby in the drive way even more. Like how every car has its own classic motorweek review regardless of the year . They should each have their own straightpipes review too for it be a future classic
I've been saying this for a while, but there needs to be more rally inspired cars like this. Like car manufacturers go nutty making off road trims that get driven to Costco, why not something inspired by mixed surface rally that can conquer both terrains?
Never in my life have I cared for off-roading, but for some reason, I feel like for whatever reason if I was gonna go off-roading, THIS and the Sterrato are the only options for me 😂
Yuri's "Best job ever" with the air punches was pretty adorable. These off-road supercars (this and the Lambo) really make car reviewers giddy. And who can blame them.
Ok this has got to be one of most fun videos I’ve ever seen. I was smiling the whole video from start to finish. You dudes made this car extremely exciting. Got me building one online right now and crying because so far it’s $237,000. I need one in my life now! Come on lottery!!!
I really like this type of sport or super cars like the Huracan Sterrato being a off-road edition of a super car, i would love to have a lot of fun with this!
I think it appears to sell well because its enthusiast appeal, but enthusiasts are the minority. I think it would not get the sale numbers of their more practical SUVs. And not as much as the faster on road 911s
Best camo for this Porsche 911 Dakarr would be a "Red 58". For powerful and beautiful red Porsche 911. Specially build for "Dakar" type rally race for 1968 edition London - Sydney. Rally when team from Poland Sobiesław Zasada (driver) and Marek Wachowski (pilot) get 4 place in total score, but they have almost all special stages in first. In just Australia part it was 5,6 thousand km trip from Perth to Sydney (for perspective) and it was in 1968. Amazing peace of rally history in modern version. I wish I could have cash to have one of this. It be great if they make more lift 911 like cross country edition or something with regular price. I'm glad you have chance to drive all amazing machines so far. Best wishes. Greetings from Poland
Not even a minute in and this car has you two smiling and laughing your asses off. I’m gonna finish the video but I already know it’s gonna be a banger
Absolutely love this car. From a cynical view, this is just Porsche cashing in on a popular aftermarket trend. But I don't care. They might as well. I would daily the crap out of this thing, especially in winter. But sadly these will mostly be garage queens.
@@damienlee1165 Agreed, if they make a LOT more of them. 2,500 is just so they can keep the prices outrageously high. (And for the record, the Macan Turbo is a blast.)
For the 992 generation the Turbo S is incredible. It has incredible acceleration and handling. The Turbo S would give the GT3 a hard time even on a tight racetrack.
So many cars are made that so few can actually buy. Even more are priced now that are just too far out of reach for the average buyer. Maybe Honda should make an off-road version of the Civic with the R-motor in it and a raised suspension. The masses would rejoice. Try to keep it under 45k if at all possible, give it some special colors like the newMazda CX-50 has. It would be a great marketing tool for their under-whelming off-road reputation and could help the sales of some of their SUVs that lack in true all terrain performance. SH-AWD might get the respect it deserves or at least begin to earn it.
Does anyone know why they decided not to use the N/A engine from the GT3 or the higher hp engine from the turbo s? Just wondering why they used a lower end engine for the higher ended pricing
Is this the best Porsche of all time? Can you find a better one on tsp.TrueCar.com?
😂Def not
Yes

Portland, JAMAICA in the Building!!! 👑🇯🇲🔥💥🌟⭐💯💎
When Porsche has some fun, we all win. This car feels like a relieving breath in an extremely stiff world.
I mean idk. I’ve only seen one in person and they’re quite expensive
Well in this case... only a happy few wins
If this is a regular model that people can actually buy at the listing price, then we all win.
In this case only collectors and dealers win.
Well no one in these comments wins no one you’ll ever meet wins only the people Porsche decides win :) (I have a .2 gt3)
If it was 75% less expensive we’d all win lol
You know the Straight Pipes guys really enjoy a car when their smiles are ear to ear during acceleration.
Also, "Triple caution! Triple caution!!"
Non-livery greenish grey at 3:43 is undeniably gorgeous in my opinion
I would normally agree, but I really like the way it looks with the livery homage
The one time I'd say the black wheels are actually better ...... looking and to own.
I would have a real hard time deciding with this. There are so many versions that look so good.
Looks great aswell with the white outer rimmed wheels
Yessss
I really didn't understand the appeal of the Safari-style cars but seeing how happy it made you guys and how fun it looks to drive I guess you changed my mind.
Have you ever watched rally driving? That's the appeal of a car like this.
I’d prob buy one as a winter beater if I could
its the reason why the crossovers trend blew up in the first place
The appeal is simple “rally”

Hands down, if money were no object, this 911 is where my money would go. Love it.
One of the best launches of any review yet! Hilarious reaction!

You can't drive a house, but you can definitely sleep in a Porsche.
@@r0b3rt_959 exactly! lol
The smiles per mile on this car is off the charts!
Yuri driving across his grass is hilarious
I love it when these guys are genuinely enthusiastic about a car.
First time I’m not jealous of your work/job. I love this car and would hate to drive it and have to hand it back. I don’t think I’d ever recover.
I put the most mileage on this than any other press car this year - Jakub
I really like this type of sport or super cars like the Huracan Sterrato being a off-road edition of a super car, i would love to have a lot of fun with this!
I work on ships, and we had about 5 of these on it and it’s definitely stands out 👏🏾
Never thought we would get to see this offroad car in this channel. Thank you!
why don't they make more of this, this seems like It will sell really well because of the drivability.
I think it appears to sell well because its enthusiast appeal, but enthusiasts are the minority. I think it would not get the sale numbers of their more practical SUVs. And not as much as the faster on road 911s
Because people buy the Macan and Cayenne
Wow!! One of the most fun cars I’ve seen y’all review and most fun I’ve seen y’all reviewing a car!! Great video!
The perfect car for winter and city potholes
yuri and Jacob giggling like kids on Christmas day is so hilarious 😂😂😂😂😂😂
This car of Legacy 911 Dakar Rally modern version was AMAZING!!!! ❤❤❤❤
SO SWEET! Top 5 cars ever reviewed by TSP!
Most fun I have ever seen this pair have launching a car!
I said it before & I’ll say it again, the death of every car company is a lifted Porsche
Never heard an expletive from either of you before. Impressive....
“TRIPLE CAUTION SAMI!! Sami I beg of you…”
Yuri, for the love of all that’s good holy…. Please seal your driveway! 😮😅😊
4:29 That Porsche paint style is fabulous.
DUDE. They've been talking about this for years and its here!
Two of my favourite things; TheStraightPipes and Porsche!
This is an insane car. Literally. Reminds me of of that "demon love child" that Vin Diesel drove in Furious 7 in that mountain chase scene.
Best launch control ever
Jake is the goat love you bud
We have the Pontiac Aztek to thank for this. These kinds of cars can be fun !
I can just imagine riding in style in this during a zombie apocalypse 🔥

The laughs during the launch at the beginning say it all.
A 4-season lifted Porsche with GT3 bits...dear lord yes.
Awesome. Another car no one can buy. Porsche is on one.
The laughter after launch was just the best
This is the best all-around Porsche! Bar/none! 🔥
Watching from Dakar, Senegal. 👋
Indeed the Rallye is my favourite of the Porsche 911 range!.I just love the beast!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Jesus christ was that roadkill at 8:10
Yeah - I came in here to mention that. :(
Awesome car ! Would be the car I would choose to do a road trip here in NZ where you could get of the beaten track and really explore 😊
Not even a minute in and this car has you two smiling and laughing your asses off. I’m gonna finish the video but I already know it’s gonna be a banger
its a beauty. i saw it 2 weeks ago in their museum in Zuffenhausen Stuttgart.
You guys made my day ! Thank you!
This baby screams like heaven!
I know it was a VW Beetle, but I would like a Herbie livery on one of these. The stripes with the 53 number.
Absolutely love this car. From a cynical view, this is just Porsche cashing in on a popular aftermarket trend. But I don't care. They might as well. I would daily the crap out of this thing, especially in winter. But sadly these will mostly be garage queens.
And honestly, I'd rather they do this than a hopped up Macan or Cayenne.
@@damienlee1165 Agreed, if they make a LOT more of them. 2,500 is just so they can keep the prices outrageously high. (And for the record, the Macan Turbo is a blast.)
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE!!!
Smiles all around!
You could convert a 997 Turbo into one of these off-road versions. It has all-wheel-drive in a manual with TwinTurbo engine.
They should make a Dakar Cayenne. It could be a sequel to the original off road version of the 1st gen Cayenne
This is just amazing, I remember the original car well!
When your customer base is 60+, and getting older, I guess you gotta go nuts.
I saw like 5 of these at Porsche rennsport reunion. It was a sick ride
"DA-kar" - very special, insanely collectable. I'd have Rothmans script applied to authenticate the livery.
Now thats a kick ass vehicle. Wow!
Porsche be like... 'so, please want savs that goes fast, huh? well; what about fast cars that go off-roading?' love it.
This would definitely be the perfect winter daily driver for me. In my fantasies anyways
Definitely my second favorite Porsche
This vehicle will wear super well! Like an heirloom baseball glove!
That’s the coolest thing on wheels right now 😍
Too bad 95% of these will sit either in traffic or in garages
For the 992 generation the Turbo S is incredible. It has incredible acceleration and handling. The Turbo S would give the GT3 a hard time even on a tight racetrack.
This is an absolute beast.
Perfect car for Vermont, I want three of them!
There’s a 2007 Charger RT awd with 27,000 miles for $18,000 in TX
Best 911 on sale in the current lineup
This actually really makes me want to see a rally GTR.
That's what makes rally racing so great. do I see rally racing in your future?👍🏼😎🇨🇦
I used to rally race my Wrx - Jakub
TLG Mud Flaps also available for this thing!!! What a machine!
Best launch ever!
Just parked one at the hotel I work at yesterday, insane
like the old school cartoon transformer amazing
Perfect for daily driving in India!
Porsche just doing side quests now 😂
Triple caution! Triple caution! Samir you’re breaking the car 😂
I think since its rally inspired a sequential gearbox would be perfect spec.
I wish Porsche would produce an overland (and more affordable) version of the Cayenne or Macan.
This really is one of da kars of all time
There are three of these for sale in my country, one is used at £350,000...

Mustang should make one like this.
A BRZ Wilderness, if it existed, would be pretty neat
Awesome 911 !
A regular more affordable version would be just perfect
Brilliant video.

Spot on boys. Spot on
Dead cat at 8:10
Skunk
Yuri is right: Speedster 8:35
How 'bout an AWD GT2RS Dakar? 😊
Porsche always delivers.....
If you want a manual gt3rs then go for 911st manual, it has a gt3rs engine with stick
Best 911 ever
