No. It was over rated. It’s the car that attracted all the bandwagon BMW M fans, it’s the car that started to blur the hard line between M and non M cars and the car that made true BMW enthusiasts upset and leave the brand and to further push them into Porsche.
@@defineivan what do you mean?
both in terms of power and in terms of cosmetics, the F80 M3 has all the same features that M cars used to have over the regular M-sport..if anything it actually sports more than what the E30 or E46 M3s had?
like i dont understand this comment at all. what is it that would make it "blur the hard line between M and non M", that the previous gens did not?
F80 is not a true M car. It has an M badge, but it is not a true M car
I bought me E46 m3 about 2 years ago and love it. Best car I've ever driven.
I had one 10 years ago and I’m saving to get another, still my favorite care ever
Try the clk amg, then you will reset your ideas.
@@zfloz9895 possibly, but I’ve driven a lot of Mercedes and for whatever reason I don’t prefer them. Not their interiors, not the way they feel on the road; but yea to be fair I’ve never driven a performance model (amg) so who knows.
@@zfloz9895 funny enough I just got a technican job at a mercedes dealership and have driven a couple AMG models. I still prefer my 17 year old M3 over any of them.
@@greatestkiller13 drive them more. Not just for a short distance.
22:33 "closed course, professional exaggerator" hahahah
coffee came out of my nouse when I read that 🤣
Great movie, camera, slowmo, areal shots, scenes, dialogues, emotions. I had goose skin watching it.
One of the best car videos I've watched in a while. It's 2 years old, surprised I haven't seen it earlier
Same here 👍
This is one of the best things I've EVER watched, brought a tear to my eye
Hilarious while being very informative!
@I G the hell
17:15 -the coolest transition I’ve ever seen in a car vid. Perfect.
Yes!! There cinematography is on whole different level! Sometimes I forget, that its just a UA-cam video and not actually show that I'm paying for, But content this good, I would definitely pay for it and I do think Hagerty and Jason should make a UA-cam RED/ UA-cam Original season so that they can get more money out of these outstanding short films! I do wish that they uploaded on week or bi-weekly basis but I can definitely tell that they are spending their time polishing these projects and I can't even argue with that!
The subtitles are where it's at honestly.
Absolute gold.
Glad to know I'm not the only one who noticed. Feels like Jason transcribed them himself lol
Tenth time watching in past 2 years! One of the best productions out there. Great job Jason and the entire Hagerty team!
Hagerty winning the quirky cinematic automotive media, the big intro AND the caption game hard.
Omg the quality of this video is insanely high, this deserves so much attention.
Production quality is so good I had to cast this to my tv.
Excellent work
Same here. Watched on phone but had to watch a 2nd time on TV. One of the best car videos out there.
By far the most entertaining and educative automotive UA-cam series; from the subtitles to the edits to the content. All time favorite m3 is an E46. Always had a negative bias on the new m3 but seeing this now in terms of performance, I must say, I'm convinced of its capability.
The quality of the production is on another level!
This is brilliant. Seriously, I feel we are at peak automotive content here, across any platform.
What an amazing production! Jason, Randy and the crew. Thank you! My god, the direction of photography was incredible! Another video that would make it hard to sell my E46 M. lol
Top notch video!, hope your efforts are paying well.. one of the best motoring videos i have seen.. congrats
Best M3 history review ever! Jason is so funny as always, especially the German accent. Randy is a legendary driver!
This is the kind of content that reminds you not everyone can be a great automotive journalist despite the thousands of automotive channels on UA-cam
Come on, it wasn’t that bad. In fact, I quite like Jason.
@@miroslavmilan that's what I meant.... Jason is one of the greats
To each their own. I find him arrogant and annoying. The scripted attempts at humor are awful. He’s the neighbor I would wave to and hope he didn’t come over to talk to me.
As far as DTM goes Alfa Romeo had the last word...Greatest era still joy to watch!
Yep that V6 was epic. Was one of my favourites to play with on Gran Turismo.
I was looking at this comment! They did a good job at editing out the 155 DTM. Front fender at 13:25 though
I loved my E30 M3, as much as one can love a car
It was a part of you, perfectly balanced, beautiful sound, even my mum loved to drive it
A very special car
E46, all day everyday.
Great episode.
WOW!!!, talk about attention to detail in this video!, i'm now an M3 expert!, really great stuff, impressed!
I love that even the captions have something hilarious to add to it. Hagerty absolutely slays it with Jason & Randy!
Man I feel less fortunate to have found this channel too late unquestionably the best! Thank you Jason!
Suddenly you've got the best automotive content on UA-cam today! thanks to the team and Jason ❤ Please keep it on
No need to watch TopGear, this is the real deal…just epic
if you take out the speech and the Mercedes out of the intro, the intro would make a great BMW ad.
It’s like you got his point ;)
I never love any video more than this i mean look at the video's production quality, script, cinematography, sound and everything is just top notch...
the production value tho! I'm speechless.
Can I just say, the graphics in this video are sensational. I too, loved my E30 and still adore my E46, what sweet motors! Cheers from Australia.
Haha, it's the hilarious captions for me.
This is the only channel that KEEPS MAKING ME READ SUBTITLES and turn them on 100% of the time!))))))
