I’m glad you pointed out indifferences because I just got mine and looked at the ones you mentioned, even to this date 4/5/24 I see the little QC that seiko didn’t work on.. my cyclops bubble does seem little misaligned.. thought it was fake for a second but this video gave me reassurance that Seiko is notorious of this. This is my first turtle seiko watch
This is definitely I believe Seiko’s best and most beautiful dial . I tried this watch on at a local jeweler. I’m very tempted for this to be my next watch purchase 👍🏻💯
Some class A dials on the Seikos these days, especially the save the ocean editions. The new Antarctica tuna and monster dial is super!
Got the Samurai version. That dial never gets boring, it is a such a beautiful work of detail on this dial 👏👏👏

Watch arrived today just got done sizing and on the wrist. Videos and pics don’t do this watch justice. On the wrist and in person this dial is beyond amazing 🤩
Second hand is the way to go - reasonable price and you have an opportunity to check alignment. This is a gorgeous dial.
Yes bro You're absolutely right that is one honest review. I have the same watch but j version and when you stick it under the sunlight it's when it truly comes into its element.

I just got one and it is fantastic! The alignment is great and it is a beautiful watch. I've wanted a Turtle for some time. I love the retro '70s look and it is very comfortable. The Manta ray face cinched the deal. This is a keeper. Thanks for a good video!

It's a gorgeous watch. Kinda expected stamped clasp and unsigned crown but to be fair it looks fantastic all the same.

i have a samauri and a save the ocean turtle. you have it bang on, nice watch but too expensive at full price. there are bargains about, got my save the ocean from Ernest Jones for £255 new. great reviews, keep up the good work. cheers

A local watch shop had a batch of these (10 of them I think) last month at a huge promotional discount (around 350 quid). They posted on their FB page, and by the time I saw it, then had sold them all. Shame I missed out on it.

Fantastic watch, I'm a Seiko fanboy myself, have quite a few divers that I actually use when diving!...but personally I don't like the cyclops, it's unnecessary and why I'd never want a Rolex with cyclops. One thing additionally, Seiko needs to make better bracelets for these higher prices. First thing I've done with every Seiko I've got was dump the bracelet and put an Uncle Seiko or rubber strap on it. I got a Heimdallr Monster red dial for £100 equivalent and it has a better bracelet than all the Seiko's I got. Plus I took it down to 80m with no issues!
Looks like addies dive took their design for their mysterious dark blue from this seiko. I love the look f this seiko, but it’s the same colour way as my dark knight turtle so unless seiko ups their game on the bracelet and clasp, I don’t see it being worth the price. Great review, keep them coming.

Almost bought this model but got the a new standard black grenade dial with misaligned chapter ring for $350

You should Google addiesdive ad2102 dark blue. It's their version of this dial and it looks amazing. It comes up on the 2nd or 3rd Google listing.

I just picked up this watch for just a hair over 300 US dollars during a Black Friday sale. What sold me is a watch channel that normally does review of high end watches and the reviewer owns and collects mainly high end watches…the guy raves about how this Seiko Manta Ray had one of the most beautiful dials he’s ever seen on a watch to include 6 figure watches that he owns.

Comparing this to a Swiss Steinhart, does anyone buy watches on specs? I wouldn't buy the Steinhart even if it was half the price. Because it's not a Turtle. I buy a Turtle because of what it is. I'd get one with a quartz. People buy largely if not mostly on style.
Which one is the tip of the second hand? The one with the lume?

All the STO Modells are grandios. I wear my White Shark evry day and i would never resale it.
