Got my J1 version in the mail yesterday. Cost $387 delivered. First Seiko since buying a recent model Monster in 2021. First King Turtle. Love the dial and the upgrades over the last Turtle, a Padi Pepsi model bought years ago. Great review.
Thank you for the excellent review. This is a very tempting watch for its unique blue dial and commanding wrist presence, but deep down I think in the long-term I'd be better off saving for the blue dial Captain Willard.

I used to live 2 blocks from mimo’s but at the time i wasn’t into watches so i never went in there. So disappointed i missed that opportunity when i was close by. Im only like 15 miles away now so i will definitely stop in soon.
I’ve owned this watch now a little over a month now and absolutely loving this watch . The new bezel design, the ceramic bezel insert and sapphire crystal are much improved from the standard turtles 🐢 but without a doubt this dial on this watch is the most beautiful, amazing 🤩 watch dials I’ve ever seen on a watch 👍🏻
I got mine yesterday and OMG!!!! Even better than I imagined. I got the last one in the state I live in!! Watch store congratulated me saying I got the last one in our state and it is brilliant. Great review - I have watched heaps on this watch and another bonus - got it on a sale %40 off and it was a bargain!!! Love the review and keep up the great reviews 😁

I've got one and let me tell you it's a big old watch. It's going to take a bit of getting used to. Everything else about it is gorgeous though, I just think maybe a bit to big for my weedy wrists.
Yeah. I find the market is strange for regular Turtles where I am at though. They are commanding high prices, both new, used and with discounts. Makes the leap to King Turtles pretty worthwhile.
Thank You for the nice video! I have a danish design watch good and well double the price (in silver and very cool design) - but I find myself coming back to the amazing beauty if this one! Obviously a solid collection of sports- & gps watches, but this Seiko/Manta Ray has that unique almost art look when up close. The cyclops is not loved by many.. to me it helps to enjoy the details of the deep ocean dial.
Have had mine for slightly more than 2 yrs now & recently i swapped out the crystal for a double dome sapphire with dual AR coating & OMG, that dial now POPS even more than before. To say the dial is stunning is a gross understatement! I feel that this manta ray dial is even more stunning than the latest Landmaster.

gosh i got mine on 7th. Oct. 2020...proud of it. Later l got her a new brother..the SEIKO Kinetic Perpetual. Love them both...and soon after that l bought my 3rd collection..INGERSOLL Armstrong. They all are my lovers!!!
Seiko is releasing a newer model of this manta ray model for 2021. It's basically exact same watch but with a darker dial/case (stealth version). Can't wait for that to release!
@@icedearth1ful Nope! Have it for more than 2 weeks, have not been wearing my other watches ever since. After some time of collecting watches, this was my first Seiko diver (quite a joke hahaha), and now I understand why Seiko have so many fans. The turtle case sits comfortably on my 6.25 inch wrist.
@@RandomRobReviews brother I spent $75 on one of those Strapcode bracelets and the fold over wouldn't stay closed. People on UA-cam like to dismiss the simple pressed clasp but I never had one not close properly for me ✌🏽
The older watches with k1 listed where Malaysia made if I recall. Not sure if that’s still the case with these. Most people don’t include the entire part number
I received a price right around $400 from Leslie Gold Watch Company in L.A.. Currently looking at a Captain Willard. I have purchased six watches from Marc, including a Hamilton. Tag Heuer, Oris (2) and Alpina (2), and won't go anywhere else unless they do not carry the brand I want. I live in Pennsylvania, but they are an AD and have the best prices and service anywhere. @@bettersteps There are two different manta ray faces from what I've seen; one for the turtle, and then a slightly different version for the samurai's. I purchased one of the JDM versions (same faces) and it's beautiful.
Because in 2020 it's VERY important to have a magnifier on your watch. In case your car, computer, microwave, toaster oven, or damn phone doesn't work.
You love the sound of the Seiko clasp in the morning.

I don’t have a seiko with sapphire, but other brands and my daily field watch is several years old the sapphire is same as day one. Amazing
