- Greetings! So, you have had chickens (or other livestock, or big gardens...) for a few years and want to start your own breeding program! Great! This is an important part of building your own farm, and an understanding of basic genetics is an important part of designing any such project. This video is a "chalk talk" containing the background information you need to to understand basic genetic terminology and the first instalment of genetics for small farms! (Note, is the first part of a series, I have not fully decided how many videos will be in said series, but it will be at least 3!)
