Thank you for this!
About to start studying for the test. Ive ordered the book. Im in England and ISA doesnt mean as much here but im told its roughly equivalent to our level 2. My wife is american so it makes sense for me to do this incase we live in the US. Maybe I will go on to a level 4 and get off the tools once im older. Wont get too carried away yet! Good luck to anyone else studying this!
Starting the prep now for my test.
Saw your comment was from 8 months ago and I am in the same boat currently, just wanted to know if you ended up taking and / or passing the exam? Best of luck with your career!

Hello ,
I fell in love with the tree service industry along time ago , but never persuade a career.
I’m currently working towards a small tree care business and trying to absorb as much knowledge to help provide a better service to our customers.
Healthy trees help provide a more enriched life for all of us.
Eventually, I plan on becoming a certified arborist , so thank you for providing these lectures .
I did have a question about. Are epicormic shoots also referred to water sprouts?
Thanks again!
Yes. Epidermis growth and water sprouts are the same thing. Good luck on your arborist journey! Please let us know if we can help in any other way.
Is there more chapters you did? Love listening to this during my commute
Yes. All the chapters are covered. In order to access the remaining chapters, we ask that you join the GAA as a member.

Do the phloem energy cells pull laterally through the rays to enter the companion cells
Phloem requires active energy use, respiration, to move to move photosynthate. Companion cells load and unload sugars from the sieve tubes and aids in Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) production. Phloem is a “complex” tissue meaning, an amalgamation of tissue types. Technically sieve tube elements, companion cells, and ray cells are all specialized parenchyma cells forming the Phloem.
How challenging is the ISA test? If you were not to pass, do you get another opportunity to pass soon after?
The test is straightforward if you read the study guide and answer the questions at the end of each chapter. If you do not pass, you can retake it and are allowed one free retake and then will be charged a $75 USD fee per retake up to one year from the original date that you took the exam. If you do not attain a passing score within one year of the original exam date, you will be required to pay the full fee amount. (If you take the computer based version, you do have to pay the Pearson Vue fee each time you retake it).
I am in Canada and would like to get a membership in order to gain access to the remainder of the videos. I have just started studying for my ISA cert. Am I allowed to get a student membership?
Thank you for your interest in membership. Student memberships are for students who are full-time enrolled in a college or university. If this applies to you, then yes, please sign up for a student membership. Otherwise, our individual membership is more appropriate for most people.
