3-Ingredient Chiffon Cake
Difficulty: VERY Easy
Time: 1hr + cooling time
Number of servings: 18cm (7inch) ungreased tube pan
Number of servings:
8-10 (5cm/2inch) muffin cups
12-14 (5cm/2inch) cupcake cups
Necessary Equipment:
electric mixer
Ingredients:
4 eggs
6 tbsp. granulated sugar
5 tbsp. cake flour
Directions:
1. In a bowl, place eggs and sugar. Beat on high speed with an electric mixer for 15 minutes until white and fluffy.
2. Preheat the oven to 180C (356F).
3. Sift in cake flour, half at a time, and mix on low speed with an electric mixer for a minute or two in total until just combined.
4. Pour the batter into the ungreased tube pan and drop it lightly on the counter to raise the air bubbles out of the batter.
5. Bake at 180C (356F) for 30-40 minutes. *Do not open the oven door!
6. When it's done, drop the pan lightly to prevent shrinking.
7. Turn the pan upside down and place it on a bottle so it is suspended over the counter. Let it cool completely before removing from the pan for an hour or two. Remove the cake from the pan and cover tightly with plastic wrap.
You can store overnight at room temperature, for 2-3 days in the fridge, or for about a week in the freezer.

For those whom don't know what cake flour is, cake flour is flour with low protein content, normally around 7 to 9%, can be substituted by mixing a cup of all purpose/plain flour with one or two tbsps of corn starch as corn starch... Or if you are living in a western country where you can find Chinatown, you can try looking for cake flour there, always marked as low protein or low gluten flour
Oh, and cake flour is different from self-raising flour, it shouldn't have any leavening agents in

Do you mean amazing? If I'm not mistaken, "sugoi" is amazing or the best in Japanese. I understand ochikeron herself speaks Japanese, but I am guessing you dim not. Now I understand the freedom of speech, say whatever you like, but, the word "amazing" in English, is preferable. If you got that word from an anime, it's good that you learn from it but-please, just use the word amazing. It saves you having to read this comment from people like me who do not like people who do not speak Japanese, in there sentences. That's like putting random Finnish words in your sentence. The cafe I used to work at somewhere around Tokyo had Chiffon cakes that were so cute and delicious! I think I made about 100 Chiffon cakes during my entire time working there. But we used more than three ingredients. We also had to decorate the cakes with elaborate frosting designs and toppings. And the cakes were quite small too. About the size of a small ramekin.
Here in Hungary, this recipie is one of our base cake, we slice it up into 3 or 2 pieces and fill with jam or other filling like buttercream or whipping cream. We can make chocolate cake if we put a little cocoa powder into the flour 😊

you use 18 cm / 7 inch tube pan but i use 20cm / 8 inch tube pan did i need to change the recipe ? like add more egg and flour . thank you very much

Remember do not grease the pan or your cake won't be able to grip the sides of the pan and climb up.
This Chiffon cake recipe is so easy. Many recipes call for 10-12 egg whites. That was the reason I never baked them before. What would I do with 12 egg yolks, right? Thanks for posting.
