I've been a musician (bass) for 60 years and I've heard many of the greats live - Jimi Hendrix, BB King, Jeff Beck and many, many more and IMHO Gary Moore is the greatest guitar player that ever lived and this is the greatest guitar performance ever recorded. Every note is chosen impeccably and performed to perfection.
Nothing compares to Gary in how he makes that guitar cry 😢❤
America had Stevie Ray Vaughan and Europe had Gary Moore. Gary was most definitely a goat, simply amazing.
No, Ireland, had Moore. A country with little... we had Gary.
England had a couple. X
@@7626728 And Ireland had also Rory Gallagher, 2 guitar gods from one small island.
Guys like Gary Moore you FEEL, not hear…ALL SOUL
he's not playing with a guitar.. he's playing with everyone's heart.. 😢
For me hands down one of the greatest guitarists. Magic hands but also an amazing voice. Songs like Empty rooms & Still got the blues are unchanged over time. He still got a lot to give.
Loved reaction Cliff, I wish you a wonderful weekend.
The greatest, Hendrix was nowhere near as naturally gifted or talented as Gary Moore - he was very rough around the edges and just a distorted noise most of the time RIP GENIUS
RIP to the greatest guitarist that has ever lived 🙏🇬🇧
The Master
I believe this was written by a gentlemen named Roy Buchannan, who was a criminally underrated guitarist. You should give that one a listen. Much love Cliff
Baring his soul through his instrument. RIP to the legend. Whisky, headphones and candlelight is truly the best way to listen to his genius. I recommend amongst others, Parisienne Walkways, Empty Rooms Still got the Blues Over the hills and far away. Great to see you appreciate this.🐺❤️
Vodka, weed and headphones here...
Headphones? How will my neighbours appreciate this I go with big ass speakers and weed 😂
When God plays Guitar 😍😍😍
I remember reading somewhere that this was his 2ND encore of the night! Gary moore is your favourite guitarists favourite guitarist! RIP Gary.
Parisian walkways in 2010 at the same venue is also absolutely unbelievable and probably one of the best live guitar performances of all time, rip Gary Moore what a musician
+1
Gary was the guitar God, I can play but Gary was on a level on his own, unbelievable 😊
When you didn't realize you needed this song in your life... my goodness did that guitar sing, so beautiful!!!!! Gritty gritty raw! 🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I forgive you Cliff. This is the best guitarist ever lived. La capo di tutti capo with his Magnum Opus. Gary RIP.
Nice that he was playing’greenie’ too
Simply WOW
R.I.P. Mr Moore 🌹 🎸🎤
Absolutely the greatest solo ever! Thanks.
Very well done sir! Honesty and genuine feel from you and a wonderfully heartfelt reaction. Tragic that America never really got to know Gary but he is one of the greats that makes a lot of so called greats sound like elevator music.
It's always a pleasure watching a master of their craft. Thank you for this. Gary was such a great musician. His bluesy guitar has a voice of its own!
Gary played with Thin Lizzy and Skid Row... Love love🔥. South side of Chitown... best place for the Blues!!
-Beth Hart and Jo Bonamassa... I'll Take Care of You live 🤯
-Prince solo While My Guitar Gently Weeps, w/Tom Petty, Steve Winwood and others 2012 R&R Hall of Fame
One of the best .
Best of the best
Nice Reaction Cliff. Thanks! My favorite guitarists! Check out Still Got The Blues For You by Gary. His biggest hit and the live version kicks!!!
You are worthy, its the heathens that arent worthy of his grace.
Great reaction. Had the pleasure of seeing Gary live many times, always fantastic. It's great to see you enjoy it as well. 👍👍
Yay. So happy to see this! Excited to see what you make of Gary Moore. A phenomenal guitarist. EDIT: that was great. Thoroughly enjoyed you being blown away by his playing. Thank you.

Love everything you do here skin. Keep it real
Gary the Belfast Boy the best.
I LOVE this reaction. This is my first time seeing you on UA-cam. He’s an amazing and under appreciated guitarist (by many), but almost anyone that has heard his music is amazed. There’s nothing wrong with closing your eyes and feeling his music, that’s how it’s supposed to be felt. Great job and please keep it up, I’ll keep watching channel. Thank you.
Best of the best come around every once in awhile that does not do justice to Gary simply beyond special- heaven will be rocking tonight. God bless Gary glad you came along ❤
reaction to gary more, one day 👌
Dont know what to say either ❤ saw gary with LIZZY and twice as solo artist PHEW ❤ ❤😂
Fantastic!
Awesome ❤ 😂
When he says, "I'm not worthy of this," certainly all of us ought to think that way, because there's never been as sublime a guitarist as Gary Moore! He no doubt sits with the Master playing for HIm!
Pure brilliance 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪💯 try out a bit of Rory Gallagher
Northern Ireland actually
Seen him loads of times live. Always gave a 100 pst and then some. Huge in Europe. Criminally underrated in the US. Best guitarist that ever walked the earth. Kirk Hammet from Metallica owns the guitar he plays here. A 1959 Gibson Les Paul. Maybe the worlds most famous guitar, nicknamed "Greeny" as it used to belong to Peter Green from Fleetwood Mac. Gary got it from Peter in the early 70s.
I believe this is his other Les Paul guitar with which he recorded Still got the blues.
@@RoverWaters that is correct. He’d playing the guitar he named «Stripe». Not Greeny. It’s his other 59 les Paul
Now do "Still Got the Blues" at the Hammersmith Odeon
PURE. PASSION. MAGIG.
YES YES YES ! Thank you for reacting to this ! From one musician to another I’m glad you appreciate every note that was played in this ! I can see you went on a trip as I did when I first heard it
I did a cover of this at a gig recently and had to put 9s on my guitar…about shredded my fingertips..really something that men like this couple play something so hard and keep it going for 4-5 minutes…you other guitar players will understand
No matter you didn’t know who Gary was all that matters is like many of us that have for years and knew of his genius you do now.
Music is a journey of discovery at 69 mine has been from the age of thirteen buying my first album Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys.
Over the years I have been privileged to have seen many greats live including Gary RIP.
ACDC "whole Lotta Rosie" live at the River plate
RIP Gary. His Les Paul guitar he plays here called "Greenie" guitar is now owned by Kirk Hammett of Metallica fame.
A beautiful animal ❤ 😂
a masterpiece of guitar playing.....
Also a great singer, check out 'still got the blues" by him!

Hi Cliff, your reaction to Gary is impressive, i think you have understood the great of this master!
Please watch: "Red House" , "still got the blues" both live version, and the duets with Albert King and BB King.... I wait your reaction soon to his voice too, he was really really great!!
Bye, from Italy🇮🇹 - R.i.p. Gary🎸🌹
Here's a group that never got their due but were every bit as good or better than Santana. Blues Image featuring Mike Pinera on guitar & vocals, Joe Lala on percussion (congas) & vocals, Frank "Skip" Konte on keys, Manny Bertamatti on drums, and Malcolm Jones on bass. Here's the one to hit - "TAKE ME" - ua-cam.com/video/SCtahKlsW-M/v-deo.html
Who needs vocals?? He didn't need them here but he has them! The man can sing also. I caught you a month after you did this so I don't know if you listen to anything else of his yet.
Hope you see this. This might have already been mentioned in the comments. Just in case: Fun fact, Gary Moore was a member of a hard rock group a long time ago called Thin Lizzy. When gary was like 17 years old if I remember right. Check their older stuff out as well.
This was amazing xx ♥️🐢 xx

D12- Shit On You
Ironically, a lot of the blues that inspired Gary Moore came from………..the south side of Chicago.
Kirk Hammett owns this guitar now and still plays on all the time…things worth a couple million…Kirk paid 1.2 million for it
*Joe Satriani* is a gitare god and mentor for man big stars now days, Chech him out 🤟
