R.I.P Gary, You're Still The Best...💯💔🙏
gary sings and he has a good voice
The greatest guitarist EVER ! Never got the kudos he deserved when he was alive - Way better guitarist than SRV or Clapton,Way better vocalist as well. The difference between Gary and many of the other so-called greats, was Gary could play anything, Hard Rock,Metal,Jazz,Blues and his vocals could match. I'll rank Gary as the best closely followed by Duane Allman and Derek Trucks (both guitarists in The Allman Brothers Band at different points in the bands career). Had to quickly edit this as my clumsy finger pushed the send button ...but this has to easily be the best guitar solo of all time, and despite Gary being a great vocalist, his guitar does the singing here, and it's a brilliant cover of an old Roy Buchanan song from the late 60s. This version just blows everyone away, and with good reason - Gary Moore just made his guitar sing.
Just have to add,as I forgot - Gary Moore is one of Joe Bonamassas heroes, and they met a few years prior to Gary passing away in 2011. Gary was also in a band called Skid Row (not that hair metal band),and Thin Lizzy, plus has had several other projects over the years.
@@robhaunui3343 lolol, i was LITERALLY gonna ask u if you ever heard of Joe Bonamusso. Lol.
We did a reaction on Joe...and Beth.....and Beth and Joe. Check it out. Joe is AWESOME too.
~ Tazzz ~
Gary's old bass player, Bob Daisley, regarding Gary's playing, said that he was the Jack of all trades, and master off them all.
Gary Moore helped George Harrison write a solo for when my guitar gently weeps in the mid 80s for the traveling wilburys. George Harrison also said he was the best guitarist he ever played with.
Thank you so much. It means a lot. We appreciate your support of our channel. 😏 ~| Tazzz |~
I am a musician for the last 60 years (bass) and IMHO, Gary Moore is the greatest guitar player that ever lived and this is the greatest guitar performance ever recorded. And I've seen many of the greats live including Jimi Hendrix, BB King, Jeff Beck and many, many more. Every single note in this, including his lightening fast runs, are chosen to perfection and performed flawlessly.
Absolutely 100%

It is not Steve Vai or Joe Satriani it is Gary Moore and Gary Moores style and isnt he just Fantastic..... Saw him 3 times live .. Tazz and Philly are the only ones on UA-cam who i have watched who has explained it has it should be explained about how Gary played this song . With raw emotion and passion. He used to play in Thin Lizzy amongst others and went solo most of the time.
Thank you...I think. 🤔. Lol, sorry...I think you complimented us.
Now you see why he was EVH'S favorite guitarist. "Still Got The Blues" Live from A Night Of Blues should be your next one.

that my fren is Gary Moore playing ur hearts with a guitar and making u cry with it
Gary and Scott Gorham, his guitar partner in Thin Lizzy, perform an incredible version of Black Rose, a tribute to their old friend Phil Lynott. It's on here and well worth a look, even in your own time if not for a reaction. His time with Colosseum II, also live on here, is jazz fusion/rock from the mid 70's. Also well worth a look. Great stuff guys.
Thank you so much. It means a lot. We appreciate your support of our channel. 😏 ~| Tazzz |~
Hello guys.
Steve Hanham here. 😊
Firstly I would like to thank Dave for the dedication. Secondly thanks to you for a great reaction.
I know Rob has already given you lots of information about Gary and yes I truly believe that he was the best guitarist ever to walk this earth!
That is a bold statement I know, but there are and have been some excellent guitarists but Gary was just a cut above the rest. Nobody and I mean nobody could match the emotion and feeling through a guitar that Gary had. He was a true master.
I first saw Gary play in 1970 when He was with Skid Row and followed his career ever since and went to see him more times than I can remember. Gary could play any style he wanted to as mentioned by Rob.
I also had the privilege of meeting Gary, discussing guitars and music and he was a very nice guy.
Could you please react to something from Gary's rock days. I suppose it can be termed as a rock ballad. Gary could sing as well as play. This is called Empty Rooms and was again recorded live. Here is the link:
ua-cam.com/video/P3dapDTDJzk/v-deo.html
Oh, a couple more things. You mentioned Joe Bonamassa (my favourite guitarist who is still with us). Gary had a huge influence on Joe and here is a quote from him regarding Gary....."He (Gary), pretty much wrote the playbook that I'm using at the moment."
Also, you mentioned George Harrison and While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Well at George's final concert in 1992 at London's Royal Albert Hall, guess who he called out to play the lead on While My Guitar Gently Weeps? Yep, you've got it, Gary Moore. There is a clip on UA-cam but the quality is not very good. Anyway, Harrison is stated as saying that Gary Moore was his favourite guitarist and that Gary played like God. High praise indeed.
But seriously, Gary deserves to be much much more famous than he is.
Sadly we lost Gary in 2011. ☹
Once again thank you for the reaction and I hope that you will react to Empty Rooms.
Kindest regards to you from England. 😊😎🎸🇬🇧🇺🇦
Hi Steve. Truly pleased that you loved our dedication reaction video. That was very kind of you to post such kind words - you are welcome.
It was very cool reading the information you provided regarding, Gary, Joe, and George.
Since this was a dedication, and you - the dedicaTED - has a request, we will grant it for you soon.

@@tazzznphilly Hi Tazzz,
Thank you and I look forward to the next Gary reaction. Of course I have plenty of suggestions! 😂
Yes I sure have subscribed and clicked the notifications.
If you could mention Dave as he has been very poorly health wise and has had to temporarily (I hope) had to put his channel on hold. Please wish him the best....thanks.
Once again regards from little old England. 😊😎🎸🇬🇧🇺🇦

But glad that you enjoy it though. 😁
Cheers once again from across the pond.

Glad you found it Steve thanks for supporting my channel my friend love and respect to you and all your family best wishes from Jukebox Dave 👍👍👍👍👍👍🌟😀😀 amazing 👍
Gary Moore sings too check out still got the blues. Just a.little.better than Joe Bon. Americans go on about Stevie Ray Vaughn. Please.l do me.a.favour and check out a real legend in Gary Moore. He played with most of the legends none of which compare.

Gary Moore is actually playing My guitar gently weeps together with George Harrison when George did his last show in England at the Royal Albert Hall. They were great friends. Also Joe Bonamassa sites Gary Moore as one of his strongest influences. Gary Moore has inspired everybody from Bonamassa to Kirk Hammet from Metallica. He actually owns Gary Moores 1959 Les Paul.
Thank you so much. It means a lot. We appreciate your support of our channel. 😏 ~| Tazzz |~
Joe is the player he is because of Gary’s influence. Les Paul through a Marshall. No guessing for where joe got that idea from
He is in the top 5 best guitar players ever, thank you sir for all you have left us RIP❤🙏
Great reaction. Two other Gary Moore live songs are amazing, Still Got the Blues: ua-cam.com/video/4O_YMLDvvnw/v-deo.html and Parisienne Walkways: ua-cam.com/video/FiuQ1EbrT94/v-deo.html Enjoy, you will love it. Thanks and take care.

Don’t care what anyone says … greatest execution of live solo guitar playing caught on film
One of the Great of all time
they say he is better then hendrix i think he was
I believe it. Didnt Joe Bonnamassa learn from or idolize Gary? 🤔. ~ Tazzz ~
Agree but many are much better than Hendrix. He was over hyped because of his different sound but technically left behind by the likes of Moore, Vai and many others.
@@Quicksilver51 change your diapers first before you talk about hendrix 🤣🤣🤣
They don't come much better than Gary Moore boys. When it comes to soul or making the guitar speak, I don't think I've ever seen anything better than this rendition of TMWCA. He's tops in my book when it come to playing guitar. Thank god this moment was captured on tape for all to witness what an amazing player he was.
Gary is mostly known for his solo career, however he briefly played with Thin Lizzy. Gary reminds me of Jeff Beck in the way that they are both stars and you go to see him rather than the band that accompany's him on stage. Gary has dabbled in multiple genres but he's mostly famous for playing the blues.
Lastly, the Les Paul Gary is playing is called Greeny. Kirk Hammett from Metallica purchased the guitar. Sadly, I wish it was somebody with better chops that bought the guitar. What a waste.

Saw Gary live twice in the uk. Absolutely incredible. Gone too soon.
An absolute masterclass from one of the greatest of all time. Such a huge loss
When God plays Guitar 😍😍
Nice review…Gary is usually in the blues guitarist GOAT conversation…like many with his level of talent, he died way too young…and yes, the other GOAT, Joe Bonamassa, was a huge admirer - check out his cover of Gary’s “Midnight Blue” live at NYC’s Beacon Theater…
Appreciate the kind words, Jay. Joe is definitely awesome too. We have reacted to a few of his songs solo, and some paired with the awesome, Beth Hart. Thanks for song suggestion.

Well, I'm late to the party, but I saw that you did a reaction and I had to check it out! I know that you have done some reactions to Tommy Johansson since you did this, and I don't know if you know it but Gary Moore is Tommy's idol...he's done several Gary Moore covers including my favorite "Over the Hills and Far Away"! I'm going to leave here and go to Tommy's channel and request, again, that he cover this one! I would miss hearing him sing but this is epic! Would love to hear you react to TJ's "Over the Hills"! ❤

First time hearing? It was a cool first impression for me, when I heard it here. ~ Tazzz ~
I think Philly would have enjoyed my view of Gary at the two gigs I saw. Right at the stage with my head in my hands, mesmerised. No one moved me.
Greetings and Love from Germany again 💚 ..i found your channel cause of your first Nightwish reaction. You're just amazing ..so, before i watch this reaction i wanna tell you something very quick...i'm totaly excited. Well, i'm an Iron MaidenManiac and Gary Moore Fan since 1985. I saw Gary once live on stage here in Germany, 1989. Unforgetable. However, i enjoy alot of reaction videos as a subcriber, not a patreon at all. Nevertheless i request songs in the comments and just hope someone accepted it.
I can't say how often i asked for this Gary performence...without luck, of course. So, the fact that you now to exactly this video almost knocked me out of my slippers...means alot to me...the music from Gary and Maiden helped me thru my alc rehab in 2010. And still is a big support for me to stay sober. For 13 years now i can proudly say. Thank you for this reaction, buddies...and many thanx to Jukebox Dave❤ .have a peaceful weekend, my friends 💚
Very kind and motivating words, Stefan. Very happy that music kept you alive. Keep staying on the right path, and I wish u well.

@@tazzznphilly ..thats amazing, guys..serious, Thank You for your lovely feedback. I don't get that very often. Speaking of 'While my Guitar gently weeps'..there's a video of the live performence of George Harrison playing that song at the Royal Albert Hall in 1992. Together with Ringo Starr & Gary Moore. Gary also played with Thin Lizzy, B.B.King and Albert King.
Again, thanks alot ☺
@@stefanstock953 will have to let Philly know, and check it out. Thanks again. ~ Tazzz ~

It's Moore, not Morris. How did that sacrilege transpire? 🤨
Who said morris?
@@tazzznphilly the title of your video says Gary Morris.
I fixed it. 1000 apologies. ~ Tazzz ~
@@cjmacleod3976 it was a typo then. It’s been fixed
@@tazzznphilly A typo is more of a keyboarding error. Moore vs. Morris is a misnomer.
He also replaced Eric Clapton in Cream as BMB(BBM?) and when Noel and Mitch play as the Experience Gary replaces Jimmi.
Both of these are worth catching, especially the Hendrix music.
Thank you so much for commenting. We appreciate your support of our channel. ~| Tazzz |~
Factually incorrect. BBM were not Cream, just happened to contain ex-members & Gary never ever played with the Experience.
@@Quicksilver51 1: A guess you could say it wasn't Cream, it was just 2/3 of Cream and played Cream songs. Which I guess means that when any band changes a member, it's not the same band. 2: This unique concert was filmed at the London Hippodrome on 25 October 2007. It formed a part of the launch for the Jimi Hendrix "Live At Monterey" programme and featured Gary Moore and his band performing classic Hendrix tracks. At the end of the night Gary was joined by Mitch Mitchell and Billy Cox of the Jimi Hendrix Experience for 3 tracks. Same thing, except that BBM toured for a couple of months and recorded an album.
Talented musician but I didn't care for the song.
Lolol, SEEE?! ...and that's totally ok, Sir. ...until I dont like a Pink Floyd song. Mmm hmmm.
