Yes there was Jimi and Stevie and EVH and Carlos and Eric and Joe and David and a few others...but Gary Moore, often forgotten about in many people's top ten even, must surely be rated No.1...he ticks all the boxes, R.I.P Gary Moore. He left us his music, heaven in itself.
SRV is not even remotely approaching this level of mastery. Americans audiences need to learn that there's a world of great artists out there. Gary was in a league of his own.
You know what! To all the palyers who ever sought inspiration from Gary, may be not be the last Gary Moore to walk the earth...let's leave a rememberence in our playing of him.
So glad to see that you have discovered the best guitarist ever to walk this earth in my humble opinion! The other guitarists that you mentioned were or are great, but Gary just had that something very special. His playing touched your soul. Please react to Empty Rooms Live in Stockholm: I have included the link below: ua-cam.com/video/P3dapDTDJzk/v-deo.html The guitar solo in this just keeps building and building. Brilliant! Gary could sing as well. 😁 Looking forward to seeing yourreaction. Cheers from the UK.
I am a new subscriber, but LOVED your reaction. I really enjoyed how you mentioned some of the greatest guitar players of all time that you’ve already listened to, and happy that you added Gary Moore to the list. I love that you could feel every bit of it, and were participating the way that all of us fans feel it. This is a beautiful cover (imagine that) of this song, and an AMAZING performance. I look forward to seeing more of your reactions. You understand this music.
This song is a cover; a reimagining if you will as a tribute to the man Roy Buchanon and his composition. I saw Roy when I was in the Air Force outside Austin Texas in '76 or '77. Here's a link to him performing the song live...ua-cam.com/video/deeBQZ8Aklc/v-deo.html Stay safe...be well...
If you want to check the originator of that song out, then check out and react to Roy Buchanan doing Roy's Bluz. You'll hear stuff you probably never heard before. Have fun! Ps: his cover of Hey Joe is out of this world also
Have you ever heard of Phil Lynott ? He has composed "military man" for Garry Moore and is singing on it. And if you like it you could go on with the Thin Lizzy album "Life"
At the top of his game, the legendary guitar virtuoso Gary Moore covering, like no one else, Roy Buchanan's The Messiah Will Come Again! Enjoyed your review/reaction. Would like to suggest something else to add to your list of greats: I Speak Astronomy, by Jinjer. Here is the link: ua-cam.com/video/KJoPIgg17U4/v-deo.html
Another 2 for your Guitar Gods list: Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits (Brothers in Arms, Sultans of Swing,Telegraph Road.....) and Chris Rea (I'll find a particular link and add it for an awesome example of his live playing but his catalogue is VAST!! On the beach Auberge, Texas ........ so so many more) ua-cam.com/video/MCPbVoOHnCs/v-deo.html
We're all regretting the loss of this quality of musicianship replaced by talent show battery farmed, lyp synching nobody's! These guys from the seventies who are still alive and performing pull in bigger crowds than any of today's so called stars. RIP Gary!
hey man, discovered your channel very recently. Enjoyed your discovery of Pink Floyd and SRV. I can suggest you some bands and songs that would give you similar eargasms and insightful moments, which although were frontstage superstars in their time, are barely ever reacted to by UA-cam's community (and I'm pretty sure it's not a copyrights issue). Reactions are cool and all, but it gets tiresome after a while, when everyone ends up reacting to the same track list, as if it's part of a standardized circuit :) If you're interested, just leave me a message/reply, as most comments posted usually go unnoticed. This should make your channel stick out from the norm, increase traffic, and ultimately even help other "reactors" to dare take a few steps out of their loops.
@@POPE. glad to see your response so swiftly dude. Since you're venturing into Rock these passed months, maybe you have heard of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young? It was a major reference in the late 60s and early 70s. Basically CSN were the main 3 in the band for a good time, and Neil Young was dipping in and out. He was a creative powerhouse on his own, in terms of song writing, singing and guitar playing. The others are guitarists and singers as well, so the characteristic of their music was deep felt harmonies and multi-guitar swirling solos :) I think this song in particular is one of their very best performances (personally I call it the peak moment of all of classic Rock's history), and it's also a gut-wrenching account of the American South during segregation. I've seen a few rare reactions of other of Young's songs, usually on lighter / more easy-going subjects, but I feel it's a pity that such a masterpiece of a recording is never considered: ua-cam.com/video/KT4vDQeI0pA/v-deo.html (edited the link as I found a better quality one and from a more official source). It's a live recording from 1970.

It's a guitar masterpiece and will never be topped
And THAT will be played at my funeral.😊
BADD ASS. GARY MOORE WAS A BADD ASS ! No more in his class. Incredible performance here!!!
Amigoooo como se nota que lo disfrutaste increíblemente. Saludos desde Argentina
IMHO, the greatest guitar player that ever lived and this was the greatest guitar performance ever recorded, just my opinion.
Gary the Belfast Boy the Greatest.
This is a master class of master classes

Where is the Messiah…..we need him now
None can compare - he simple did this off the cuff, time and again
One of the all-time GREAT performances. Gary was so damn great! This song brings me to tears every fuckin' time lol!

Gary was left handed, but learned to play guitar right handed.

He remind me to Django Rainhard 'cuzz he play guitar with 2 fingers 90 % of time!❤
Gary is a true legend he plays with a passion I've not seen in another guitarist and I'm 60
Have to agree. I’m a similar age and I’ve seen a lot of them. Gary was truly brilliant
You have given the perfect reaction....to a perfect performance....RIP Gary Moore
SRV is not even remotely approaching this level of mastery. Americans audiences need to learn that there's a world of great artists out there. Gary was in a league of his own.
This video , stands as a searing indictment against today's mainstream music. . Yeah , there was a time when talent meant something !

It's actually, his cover of a Roy Buchanan song.

Roy was another great one!
Jimmi Page and other "guitar players" Can maybe be a guitar tech for Gary cuzz he Is left all of them in the dust!!!
You know what! To all the palyers who ever sought inspiration from Gary, may be not be the last Gary Moore to walk the earth...let's leave a rememberence in our playing of him.
I am guessing you’re a musician - great reaction !

A great Reaction video.!! You truly get it...!!
Listen to Gary from his Rock years. Even better.
This IS from his rock years. It's from the album "After The War" released 1989. A very underrated album IMHO.
Gary rejected rock music.😊

Virtuosooo
Another great one of his is Separate Ways, the extended intro version. Incredible.
Listen to the Frankie Goes to Hollywood song Warriors of the Wasteland Attack Mix featuring Gary Moore. I believe you will enjoy that.

Check another instrumental ballads of Gary Moore like the Prophet, or The Loner or Sunset.
He can sing too!! Check out Still Got the Blues or Parisienne Walkways or Don't Believe a Word (Phil Lynott tribute).
The Loner. Do the one with no video, just a black and white picture. And you will want to die because it's just soo good.
Gary Moore was amazing ♥️🔥🎸♥️ Check out some “Robin Trower” “Bridge of Sighs” ♥️♥️
Checkout Roy Buchanan!
Check out song King of the blues live
Got the blues for you
If you want to check the originator of that song out, then check out and react to Roy Buchanan doing Roy's Bluz. You'll hear stuff you probably never heard before. Have fun! Ps: his cover of Hey Joe is out of this world also
subbed bro
Beautiful. Try 'Maggot Brain' by Eddie Hazel for another name to add to your virtuoso list.
I'd make sure I get the original studio version by Funkadelic's Maggot Brain album though. (just in case Pops don't know the exact reference).
Have you ever heard of Phil Lynott ? He has composed "military man" for Garry Moore and is singing on it.

America had Stevie Ray and Europe had Gary Moore. Gary was an amazing guitar player.
The guitarist from Metallica bought that guitar for almost a million dollars!!!

Gary Moore não é desse mundo...
Stevie Ray who, now?
Adverts a travesty so didn’t subscribe, gave a like as you have good taste
This just seemed so predictable, every note, like I've heard it a million times.
Course it is 🤣🤣🤣🤣
No you haven't
😂😂😂😂 clueless
Okay kid ....
SRV and Gary Moore are alone at the top
True song….Jesus in on His way very soon…get your souls right
