- James O'Brien offers his unfiltered predictions on what we can expect in the run up to the General Election, which Rishi Sunak has announced will take place on 4th July.
As the key Party leaders hit the UK campaign trail after a shock election call, James O'Brien reacts to the initial media coverage: ’Seize the initiative? He couldn’t seize an umbrella!’
James O'Brien predicts the upcoming ‘post-Brexit’ election will see Conservatives ‘tripling down on lying through their teeth’.
He also highlights the ‘desperation’ of the ‘Tory-donating client media’ supporting Rishi Sunak after he announced the election.
Rishi Sunak has claimed the 'economy has turned a corner' and 'plan is working' at his first campaign rally after announcing election...
But is the England's Euro glory Sunak's only path to political survival?

@@David-mi3ilthere are plenty regions in California that are prone to floods. I live in a sub-tropical climate, somewhat like southern California and it would shock you to see what rain can do in such climates. That speech in the rain was the worst image, a lasting image that will be the only thing shown on television the day he dies. What a symbol of a failed era in government.
That was embarrassing. Who in their right mind would suggest doing that?
Remind anyone of Steve McClaren- only difference being he was using one when he shouldn't have, while Sunak could have been in doors, so was needlessly exposed to rain.
And you guys are Labour voters it seems . lol
And the words inscribed on his headstone will be “Things only got wetter”.
I think the fact that nobody rushed out to hold an umbrella over him was very telling of his popularity.

Steve Bray had a plan. And an umbrella. These two things were related. The PM who wants you to stick with the plan didn't even consider the weather in his plan to announce the election. It was pathetic.
I believe he was offered one of the European umbrellas but saw people sniggering.
Just googled Boris Johnson's Downing street media briefing room which cost the tax payer more than 2.6 million. Sunak would much rather stand outside again in the chuffing rain. 🤷
It was built by a Russian company so is probably bugged. The election announcement is half government business, half party political so you can't really use a government building for it.
