Ferrari did NOT take him to task. Comparing to his interaction with Starmer, just nothing. Ferrari needs to be let out to pasture. His bias is blinding.
Indeed. The callera had decent questions, that Ferrari bloke was spineless.
Lots of sneering, bitter comments towards Kier. Chuckling along with Rishi like they’re mates at the pub.
Should be ashamed to call himself a journalist.
To be fair, Ferrari is a Tory and he doesn’t exactly make it a secret. Likewise, James O’Brien is a socialist or at least left of centre. Bias is okay if you’re aware of it and LBC do okay balancing the bias through the change of presenters.
Bias? Have you listened to James O’Brien? He has never even mentioned the war in Ukraine!
@@lestrem11what about it? He’s mentioned it plenty
Of course his daughters are excited. They will be moving to America
And they would do British NS in America how.
They wouldn't. That's the point
He’s a liar politician. I don’t take anything he says at face value. He is perfectly free to arrange for his daughters to do volunteering work if it’s true that they are excited about it, just don’t impose forced labor on other people’s kids.
Are they not already enrolled in school in California next year? Heard that and if true shows that Sunak is going to cut and run even if he wins a seat.
Nick Ferrari gave him a totally easy ride, never calling him out on his blatant lies.
There’s a reason they only go on nicks show
Have you read Labours manifesto ?
Can you explain the following cobtradiction
"We will reduce food prices..."
"We will keep inflation at 2%"
@@greamespens1460because they're 2 different things? Food costs are affected by more than just inflation.
@@greamespens1460 The two (inflation and food prices) aren’t inextricably linked. It’s a little more complicated. Food prices rising 31% across this parliament is, to a significant extent, due to high energy costs and, of course, the elephant in the room: Brexit.
@@greamespens1460 those two statements aren't mutually exclusive given that food prices are a component part of inflation, not the whole thing. Now given that 2% is pretty much the inflation target for most Western central banks, I'm not understanding what your point of concern is. Neither of those statements are controversial. Are you suggesting that the other parties would favour a different stated purpose, and if so, what?
'I know it's been a tough few years... for you and everyone else.' But not you, Rishi. Hasn't your wealth risen hugely?
It was hard for him to put up with the complaints of common people..
It's bound to be tough for someone with millions, a million invested at 5% only generates around £50,000.00 per annum, it must be very difficult to survive with that kind of unearned income.
LOL I highly doubt Ferrari took him to task 😂
Never, never , ever trust a Tory ..
Never trust labour.
Kier is a marxist and will destroy Britain completely
@MichealHarris-il6ziMike Harris, I'm voting Tory.
If you want another five years of rising NHS waiting lists, another five years of water companies getting away with pumping raw sewage into our oceans and rivers then go ahead and let the Tories get another five year majority.
Don't come back and complain come 2029 when things have got even worse after another five years.
Still, at least they'd have outdone their last long record in government.
They'd have been in government for nineteen years come 2029 should they win the election, one year longer than their last 18 year stint in government before Tony Blair and Labour came into power in 1997.
I can't see things getting any better if the Tories win the next election personally.
almost 14 million people voted tory in the last general election.
@@nenehermannfoundation1187 so what ?
Well done LBC callers for putting that man to task. Proud to be a listener
American viewer here. I would just like to point out the similarities between our two governments's politicians failing to understand that for half our citizens, raising taxes can be crippling but lowering the taxes does not appreciably change our economic standing. It's the pay versus cost of living, it's interest rates, etc. the rich will stay rich whether you give or take a little taxes. Pretending that lowering taxes for someone already not making enough to survive is like giving a starving dog a biscuit. Still starving, you've changed nothing.
Sunak & his wife have a net worth of £651m.
They could spend £10m a year for pretty much the rest of their lives & still have 10s of millions left over.
Why does he want to be Prime Minister!? He doesn't even seem happy.
Same as Boris - gives them something to do.
So they can use government policy to benefit themselves and their donors?
@@irishvicar1963 Pretty much, yeah. The odds are always against us, but we do have a democracy. So let’s get rid if we can.
I'm sure they can, and do spend more than 10m a year. Just by their investments, they're covering their costs at least
To put it on their CV
Softball after softball after softball. Absolute fluff piece from Ferrari, didn't expect anything else
He struggled but Nick Ferrari gave him an easy time
Get Ferrari and his clear bias out please.
This isnt the bbc, lbc dont need to be unbiased. They have a selection of different leaning presenters.
Have you noticed James O’Brien also has his biases or are you fine with that?
@@Healden1 Of course he does we all do. But he checks them a lot better then this, this is embarrassingly poor

You've spent 14 years putting our taxes up
Rates have to go up, if the tax base doesn’t go up with inflation. That requires growth in line with inflation.
@@johnrussell3961 he's in charge of growth.
£900 for everyone in work, as long as you earn more than £35k. Yet the people on less than £25k who need extra money will have less. So that's a bare faced lie, only one of many.
@@johnrussell3961 The flaw there is that poor people can spare far less in increased taxes than a rich can.
@@johnrussell3961 but it's only income tax and NI contributions 🤷

Some of the callers may have 'put him to task' but Ferrari certainly didn't.
Tories have raised our taxes by £13,000. We should all be around £10,000 a year better off than we are now. Let that sink in.
@kat But then it was all wasted on the disastrous lockdown!

No ! The selective service system is just a data base of young men with no disabilities or ethical restrictions who would in case of national emergency be agreeable to be called up for service in military or civil defence roles. It's purely voluntary.

Sunak is actually a lightweight - I'm amazed how few see it.
Surely the polls show that a huge majority sees it.

The trouble with jam tomorrow is tomorrow never comes.
Does he realise he rubbed stamped Labour's policy of taxing the rich when he says "the rich can afford Labour's tax"?!
National Service from the
man who left the DDay Landings before they
were even finished
He is DISGUSTING🤮
Notice HE'S excited for them to do national service. At no point do we hear them say they're excited. Let's hear them say the words.
Eventually he did say that they are excited. Whether it's true is a different matter.
Not going to scrap the bedroom tax for disabled people, some of the most valuable people in society? No, going to reduce tax for the rich.
@Bluetoothedshark I'm voting Tory.
It’s not a bedroom tax. It’s asking people to live within their needs. Previously, single people could live in four bedroom houses and have the taxpayer pay for all of it. Now, you only receive housing support equivalent to the size of home you need. If you want more than a single bedroom home as a single person, you have to pay for the extra cost yourself.
Can you imagine the polls if client media treated the Tories and Labour the same?
His darlings wont be in the country if it all kicks off
Sunak says he's been struggling financially like everybody. How can that be when he has a fortune of 700 million £ ? He really has a different idea of 'struggling' than the rest of us.
The tories, a party of which he is a member, have increased taxes to the highest rate for 70 years!! Tax cutting lies and gobbledygook! 😞
Doesn't he remember PPE corruption? or the idiotic dangerous 'eat out to help out'?
Struggling while building his OUTDOORS HEATED SWIMMING POOL? Maybe the builders wanted to charge him too much?
It’s not like covid was a regular occurrence. He was simply trying to help economy not realising the consequences.
He and his wife only made £120 million last year. He was hoping to make £150 million.
@day You do know we have the lowest taxes in western Europe?
He paid only £500k tax on his earnings front that £700 million. Less than 2%.
Nick Ferarri did not rise to the task, simple as that. He kept asking Starmer the uncomfortable questions yesterday, as he was supposed to, indeed, and today he was a lackey. Very disappointing.
@ammom But the alternative would have been to say something agreeable about Ferrari. So not really disappointed.😊
1 hour of having his tummy tickled by Nick
If Sunak was stood in a dry river bed in the middle of a desert, he'd still be out of his depth.
Ferrari its time to retire.
James O’b should do the big political interviews
O’Brien always says he has an open offer to speak with these people, yet none will. I suspect they are terrified of being ripped apart by truth and the numbers which JOB has to back it up.
He looked like he was about to cry except for the parts when he was supposed to be sympathetic then he was smirking 😭 how low can you go

Sunak is such a narcissis. They're not even attempting to meet or make any deals with the unions.
I thought you meant he flowered in spring and faded by summer!

We did not vote for MP's too make life tough for people.
Wasn't the entire point of Brexit to make life tougher for immigrants? The entire point of the Conservatives is to make life tougher for poor people. The problem is that the right wing press have convinced the poor people to vote against their own interests!

The radio presenter was far tougher on the labour leader yesterday.
It couldn't be more obvious that Natasha comes from a Tory background. Didn't she used to work at the Sun too 🤡
How is it obvious?
@Olly_2024_ well, it is, isn't it. “Always happens when we put politicians in this chair…”? Really? Didn’t seem particularly strenuous when Ferrari dothed his cap & tugged his forelock all the way through Farage’s interview.

Rishi's two daughters are in boarding school, they will not be doing national service when they turn 18!
It is supposed to apply to everyone even the Royals
Rishi Rich Sunak the Tory noodle of a PM

RICH SNAKE waffled away about" hee haw" as they say in Scotland!!
Rishi came when there was turmoil in the UK. He didn't panick and resigned like other leaders. Other party leaders don't look that strong. Would Stamar be able to handle the pandemic or inflation? And the answer is no... Why do people want to repeat history? This election looks like Lizz Truss and Rishi Sunak party candidate election... everyone voting for Lizz... she sets everyone's house on fire and resigned... and the Rishi came...now everyone wants to vote Stamer.. let him set fire and wait for another Labour leader come...the only difference is, in Labour doesn't have any strong leader like Rishi... Facts : Rishi stayed as a prime minister and handled all the chaos... From day 1, he is being critisze. HAttsoff to his dedication... tomorrow, if the UK is in war, then we need leaders like Rishi... It's not like Stamer, who will make a uturn for a few votes...Stamer has a vote pleasing policy... he doesn't have UK well-being policy... His policies are like wind farm🤣🤣 to turn wherever the wind is blowing from
He still put people into long high fixed rate deals for 2 years even if inflation is down, he wants to privatise the NHS.

‘…for you, and everybody else…’, yes, but not for ME!
Rishi made a LOT of money by betting against the country that he's now been running...
He's benefited from the economic crash and now during a cost crisis he's more out of touch than ever
It amazes me so few people know this.
"it's been a tough couple of years...for everyone else"

Liberal Democrat and Reform truely could split the Tory party apart depending on their performance this election. Lets say Lib Dem get anywhere in the ball park of 50 - 60 and Reform gain 2 - 6, I could see both numbers increasing with Conservatives jumping ship and commiting to socially Left/Centre or Right/Centre
And are his daughters willing to also do tax in the UK, or they are not that happy to volunteer for that also?
My council take has gone up every year in recent memory under the tories, is he for real?
When will it be realised by the vast majority that reducing inflation is NOT making things better, it is just making things worse at a slower rate?
The problem with Rishi saying that Labour will put taxes up, is that most people don't mind paying more tax if they actually get something for it, and they would rather pay a little more tax than continue to have the Tories in charge. So even if it were true, he would still be losing the argument.
Exactly.
I wish James would do these interviews.
Reform will stop the boats..
Who was she listening to? Ferrari was far tougher with Starmer.
Pretty Tricky for Rishi.
We do have money to pay for tax rises as long as it's focused on the wealthy, prople who have more than doubled their wealth since covid for no reason at all, seen as eveeything is worse.
Definitionally, it's not volunteering if it's not voluntary.
RS keeps saying, "ever" working person will be £900 per year which is complete lie.
Some are even worse off.
So much for integrity!
Just to clarify... He did not say his daughter's are excited to do National Service. He actually said the HE is excited for them to do it. There is a massive difference in those two statements. They even discussed it over the actual audio being repeated but not picked up on.
Sunak is obsessed with lower tax. Public services NO LONGER WORK. How will they be paid for? I wouldn't mind paying a bit more in tax if I knew I'd get an ambulance when needed, a or hospital school that isn't falling down etc etc. An absolute tool.
Ivy 17 years old: Why should I have to do national service and what do I gain from it? It's a far cry from 'ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country' isn't it? No wonder this place is in such a state...
Real issues like his Sky TV his daughters are two young for national service
I wish someone would point out that "tax breaks" might leave more on your wage slip, but it comes at a bigger cost for services. And the lie that taxes on the poor are the same as the rich is just insane.
“We’ve cut your taxes” really? You may have cut or plan to cut your income tax rises but I’ve just had to pay out £400 to my dentists who were NHS but then went private and face at least another £1500 in treatment costs so how has that “cut my taxes”?
Rishi is looking energetic

Those St John Ambulance volunteers he mentioned have probably been volunteering with St John for years. My son started quite young as a Badger and worked his way up. There are plenty of organisations young people can join long before they are 18 such as Cadets, Scouting, Guiding, Red Cross. Twenty five days over a year is hardly going to get them past the most rudimentary knowledge. Also many of them will be either studying for A' levels or going to University at 18. Very badly thought out concept. We haven't even touched on the Military side of things. If by any chance this ridiculous scheme is introduced we need to ensure that every single Etonian, Harrovian and Wykehamist is forced to take part.
