Nigel’s idea to increase the tax threshold to £20,000 is a brilliant idea if properly executed and funded. We won’t have to raise the minimum wage yet again which is strangling small businesses, it’ll put considerably more money into peoples pockets as opposed to a tax cut and it could lead millions out of absolute poverty and the benefits system.
Nige was also the first to mention putting money back into training the British people into the jobs we import people for. Also I quite like the higher national insurance contribution for businesses that want cheap workers. In fact I like everything about Reform. Big Nige is the way forward, in my opinion.
But how do you afford the short fall in tax revenues.
@@christopherlloyd-roberts2205 Cuts probably. I think part of the idea is that if we get a lot of people off welfare we can then take that money and invest it elsewhere. They had a conference about how they would fund it but I honestly can’t remember. Something to do with the way the Bank of England works I’ll have to try and find it again. The big issue is that these other parties are offering tax cuts but realistically it’s only going to save the average person a couple hundred pounds maximum which I just don’t think is enough in todays economy. It might give people a bit of breathing room when buying necessities but it’s not keeping money in peoples pockets. It depends on if you’d think a riskier more radical approach could be a better alternative long term.
@@JackCooper243 It's not just that either, sure they are going to cut money off some services to pay for it like the NHS, but 5% could be recouped via efficiency... Why do we have diversity managers on 300 grand a year!?

Along with you it's so dangerous there is no police going to protect you or your family. So many families are leaving.
What we need is schools to teach girls the benefits of being a mother and especially a housewife. Reversing the derogatory way society currently views them.
Farage was absolutely right in what he said: tax relief for those paying private health insurance that will directly fund the NHS and improve quality of service. I want to pay into a private insurance because the NHS is so terrible I can’t rely on it if I have an emergency. I’ve seen a man with a malfunctioning pacemaker waiting in an emergency queue and he passed out 3 times in 20 minutes because his pacemaker kept failing. It took 29 minutes and 3 times for him to lose consciousness for the nurses to bring him in the front of the queue. That is absolutely appalling!
It’ll be even better for me and more affordable if Reform give us tax relief. Same cost, better return.
@@NoNowwwell precisely my point, I would even reduce the demand for employees by automating in every area I could. Automation removes all the variability that comes with employees and minimises cost. It’s not about money, it’s about the model. We have to optimise every single aspect of the NHS hospitals, clinics, services we need to simplify it in every area right down to the structure of the hospital. Design a hospital that minimises the duration from any one point to another point so the process is streamlined, sustainable and scalable in every area.
It’s a complicated challenge but with solid focus, logical and intelligent planning, designing, refining and execution it can turn our NHS into a revolutionary healthcare system but first things first: fix the broken model and turn it into a financially sustainable organisation. That’s the only way it’s going to sustainably meet demands of the future and adapt to unforeseen circumstances and demand volatility
If we can learn anything from America, fully privatised healthcare is not going to help with these issues. It's just going to line the pockets of super wealthy people. You can still pay for private healthcare optionally.
Nigel is 100% right but the career big parties don't want to admit it as they don't want to be called racist and loose their jobs, they want to sound and be politically correct. I have private insurance and i pay for it 100% i never use the NHS and its the best thing i ever done. The NHS is terrible....You get what you paid for......as the NHS is free you wont get much from them and the truth is the NHS is a walk in service so it cant cope with the demand........you cant just get more doctors and nurses and pump more and more money in to it fanaticising that will solve the issues. You will never get enough doctors/nurses and even hospital beds to cope with the demand. You need a 2 tier system like Germany does which puts you in private or NHS type of care depending on your job earning. That will ease the pressure on the NHS which will give better outcomes to the people using it and if we control legal and illegal migration on top i feel that we may see happier NHS work force not been burnt out and better patient outcomes.
@@WrongEndoftheCrayonNot a single person is arguing for fully privatised healthcare, though. It's never gonna be on the table, either, because no British politician would ever throw away their career THAT spectacularly. Don't get me wrong, some of them are pretty spectacular at it, but the NHS is deemed sacred by the British public. My wife is French, I think the French system has the benefits Nigel says it does: free for the poorest, paid into by those who can. This is already how many public institutions work, given the number of dependents and the lack of a magic money tree. I'm a dependent btw.
It's worse than that, if you get private health insurance through your employer as an employee you're taxed on it! As a benefit in kind through payroll! It's insane! As if we weren't paying enough tax already!
The next debate should be done about 300 miles north of London. You’ll see the crowd react totally different to everything they say.

The Brexit Party that it came out of even had people who could accurately be described as Marxists, despite its capitalist-leaning economic policy. Labour and the Conservatives have had their shot for a long long long time. It's about time we have some real change
Not just, he also wants to increase the higher level of tax (40%) to 70k not 50k. So everyone up to an income of 70k will be better off, which will in turn boost spending and actually give people a chance at not just surviving paycheck to paycheck. Education in key sciences, engineering, maths and medicine will also be free, boosting numbers in needed workers in teaching and medicine. Also boosting the agricultural industry and fishing industry with better subsidies rather than having farmland just sitting there not being productive. Also better investment in oil and gas to decrease our reliance on imports. It all makes a lot of sense. Less focus on net zero so people pay less tax on energy bringing energy prices down. There are a number of policies that are being proposed that directly boost peoples pockets and get people back to work. I personally like the policy that people will need to pay taxes for 5 years before giving people access to benefits. It makes sense, I used to work in a job centre and the number of people coming off a plane and claiming benefits without even speaking a word of English was insane.....we have become a benefits state, which is a key reason for people wanting to come here.

@@JustinianCharter-ie9bk Labour Isn't growing they are shrinking (unless you count scotland) they are ahead of the tories, that isn't growing, they lost at the last election due to people swapping due to brexit, reform could pick up some of those voters, some will go back to labour but that isn't growing, they were already labour voters and trump lost due to illegal postal votes, without the postal votes (legal or illegal) he would have won.
@@xGLLx there is no evidence that Trump lost because of anything other than his handling of Covid policy, Trump is a sook that calls elections rigged whether or not he wins or loses. Vote reform.
I agree the cycle is terrible. But Labour plans to spend about half as much as the conservatives under their current manifesto. We need proportional voting so that every vote is heard.
Why are people so convinced public services need to be public? You waste a great deal of money on the middleman which is government, which is largely in-efficient. You do understand a free economy is one where you vote with your dollar constantly so the best competitor wins? When did the free exchange of goods and services become evil. You guys act like if there wasn't a department of education and public schooling that good people wouldn't immediately step in and fill that gap in the market. Westerners don't even have a basic knowledge of the system of free trade and limited government which allowed us to get here.
