Now, who was it that told me Page's Guitar Playing was "overrated?" Who was it that said, "he's too sloppy?" Who was it that told me that Led Zeppelin "wasn't the greatest rock band of all time?" Listen to this, Eddie!
Well Page himself has stated his playing is a bit sloppy at times so there’s no argument there but that’s part of his style. As far as the greatest rock band of all time everyone agrees it’s the Beatles and that’s likely never to change.
@@itslikethesamebutdifferent8020 I read an article the other day. (I'll try to find it and post it). So, your assumption that it's the Beatles that are the "greatest" is a matter of opinion. I have no problem with someone who has that opinion. However, it's just an opinion. In my view, the only reason they get that moniker is because they were the first. Really the first actual "rock" band in Britain and the first British rock band to come to America. @@Colstonewall - lol @ Elvis is the king, He is tho , can’t argue with that. To answer your question truth is the Beatles were one of many rock groups in England who were playing clubs, doing their thing while trying to make a few bucks to get by. What separated them from the rest was that they did things differently. While all the other groups were playing the latest hits of the day the Beatles were looking at the B sides and old standards and modernizing them while writing original stuff so as to not have the same material that all the other bands were doing. Can you imagine sitting thru a few hours at a club listening to band after band doing their version of long tall sally? An oft quoted line was “guitar groups are on the way out” by the Decca A&R man who turned them down. They were not the first group but they were the group that proved that statement wrong, who stood out head and shoulders above everyone else. The lines outside the places they played started growing into the hundreds and this without having a record contract. When they released their first album, Please Please Me it went to #1 in the UK charts and stood there for 30 consecutive weeks only to be knocked off the top slot by none other than their second album With The Beatles which stayed at number 1 for 21 consecutive weeks, they were number 1 a total of 51 consecutive weeks, making them the only band to have achieved that to this day. Later on they were the first to play stadiums, to have that global success on such a scale, it is oft said that when they came out, every kid suddenly picked up a guitar and started forming bands. They wrote The Rolling Stones’s first hit called I Wanna Be Your Man and they forced other groups to start writing their own material at a time when it wasn’t very common to do that. They played places like the Budokan which was a big no no for anyone to do a concert there, the Beatles were once again the exception. Most importantly was that literally most every rock band that has come out since then has said that the Beatles’ impact on music, society and the world in general has never been equaled. THE GREATEST BAND EVER HANDS DOWN !!! ❤😊
Wow, i didn't know they played this in '73 and I thought I knew about all their tours. Guess not.
Even if some people are as kind as concert whistlers, I must confess here it's my first time hearing that marvelous version. Unbelievable. Hope to high up the reference for others lovers to have the same pleasure than me today. Thank you for posting, by the way.
Second to BBC solo but amazing construction thank you for this!
🧙🏻I've been a⚡️LedZepHead my whole🔮life.🌹"Thank You" for sharing and I wish your channel all the🤘🏻best.

Led Zeppelin Masters of Masters for Ever...
I wonder why they haven't released this officially yet, like they have with Misty Mountain Hop, The Ocean, from the same 1973 Garden concerts.
I love it 💜 I see why THEY don't like it though - haha! This it, it's Zeppelin, it's amazing...
Excellent remaster Thank You!
Vintage JP, a patented, wonderful, twangy, angular and quirky solo to end the tour…. Nobody did it better.
My goodness how I loved that band…
🎹🎼🎸🎶🥁 it always reminds of no one . Just started liking it live a few years ago
Thankyou!
Thank You is my favorite song by Led Zeppelin
It's completely different to their other music
Although I have only ever heard it on vinyl, hearing it played live is a completely new experience for me
Absolutely incredible 👏
I love this! Thank you for the upload! 😎

Led zep is rock
Great great loved this thanks for posting. This has always been one of my favorite Zep songs. So I am not a big fan of covers or am I big Duran Duran fan. However, they did a cover of this song that knocked me out. Now that being said DD recorded 3 different versions of this song but there is one in particular that I love. It is on a Zep tribute album called Ecomium, check it out.
The absolute best ❤❤❤
5:50 solo starts

Is there any band from today that will have music still listened to 50 years from now?
Me & my Husband's wedding song June 17th 2018 It was a Beautiful Day. Rip Bobby Lavigne ❤
Last time played live
The echo starting at 9:40. ❤
In my opinion, I believe it wasn't used, because Robert came back in before Page was done with the middle solo
