A column and a stiffener are the same thing,where one gets confused has to do with sizing. A stiffener is always only as thick as the wall it's place into,a column is normally 8" X 9". A column is normally wider than the wall it's placed to hold.

Sir, is it true if an independent worker goes by the rate sheet the person hires them is required to pay additional fees once the job is completed??
I was told this by some persons who o hired to build my first home.

The rate sheet is just A GUIDE TO NEGOTIATE.... Anyone with common sense should know this. And if you dont have common sense. Then hire someone with common sense(project manager) and save yourself the aggrevation.
