Thanks for the information. It's gives a real breakdown of costs. Instead of getting a quote and don't know what's involved in putting together. Thanks
Thanks alot mercury. very informative video. Maybe you should also do one on the food prices. its getting out of hand. Some should recommend you channel to Andrew holnes so he can know whats going on in Jamaica. give him a reality check
Thank you Natalie. You should definitely start or try and acquire a move in ready house. Things wont get any cheaper and once you make a start and work on it little by little it will be completed one day.
Hi Nigel. Coast to Coast Concrete & Aggregates charge 18,500.00 per cubic yard tax included if your mason does the finishing and $19,000.00 per cubic yard if their crew does the finising.
Jamaica Pre-mix charges:$ 24,690.00 Tx included per cubic yard. Location determines cost so the further you are from the company the more you will pay.
Thanks for sharing. When an electrician charges per point what does the point include? Does it include like the wall case. handy box, octagon box, the piping?
Have you gotten a rational for using both GFCI Breaker and GFCI receptacles? I've been talking to a few electricians who are saying some inspectors wont pass the building if they don't use both on the same circuit? A note for qualification I did my bachelors at Utech in Electrical engineering but migrated before I did the interview to become an Licensed electrician. I am a licensed electrician in Canada and here we use one or the other plus when the GFCI receptacle is used the receptacle downstream is not required to be GFCI bcoz it is protected by the upstream GFCI receptacle. When GFCI breaker is used in the circuit all receptacle on that circuit are GFCI protected. So just curious why you require both? Not sure if you can get an answer for this question.
@kantakilla yea I know that's what the code says but what is their rational for making the code that way? Seems to me whomever developed the code is unaware of the workings of gfci breakers and or receptacles. Are we still using the js21 or if not what is the current code book? Am wondering if it's a matter of the code in and of itself or simply a misinterpretation of the code!?!? It's simply a waste of money for zero added protection using both.
Hi, I have no idea about the current cost to construct a light pole. That would depend on the height and style. When I built mine 4 years ago the cost was 23K for material and labour. I suggest you consult with a mason on this matter seeing that you are in the construction industry yourself based on your channel name.
That 3000 is not accurate, And every connection point. That includes every breaker, plug, switch, light socket, earth rod, earth lug, pot head n so on. The meter socket alone carries 6 connection point, plus there is a charge for chopping and patching the wall, and also the main is charged per foot to dig and run
Thanks for sharing this info. It is.much appreciated. The quotation I mentioned was provided by my electrician. Different persons will charge different rates depending on various factors. I am sure viewers will benefit from the information that you have shared.
you cannot say the 3000 is not accurate, that is what one electrician charge mercury, maybe your electrician will charge more or less. she is telling you what they charge her, so you can use the information as a guide to say hey, that is too much or yeah man, can work with your price. that's how i see it.
Apple berry this is not a standard rate. You have to charge based on your requirements. This is just a guide plus the video was not published last month😉

Hi how about the cost for a pre mixed concrete truck?

YRW. Do share the channel and help us grow.

A point involves each plug, socket and receptacle. The piping is a different costing.
@@ravmercury3225 Thank you , what about the wall case or handy box?
Installation of boxes $J350.00
Installation of PVC conduit$J50.00
very informative😍
Glad you think so!
Great video. Do you know the cost of the wire that runs from the meter box to the electrical panel.
Thank you for your kind words. Check the Hardware and Lumber website for current prices of electrical items.

That is what the code says out here in Jamaica

The size of the wire matters...relative to cost.
Why are the electrical wires prices are different based upon the color?
Each wire serves a different purpose hence the reason for the different prices
Prices look resonable
Yes I agree
everything in building is expensive, look at the cost of the wires, it too much. thats why poor people cant afford housing.
It's really sad. Hopefully we will witness a wind of positive change in the economy.
Great video again...very information
Thanks again!
