This makes me miss my grandpa. He had a '91 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser. I still have memories of riding in the back trunk seat as a kid. Rest In Peace, Herbie.
I traveled in this car for decades when I was a kid. It is literally like a small room within the car. A perfect family car.
Solid car! I kinda dig these 90's station wagons.
Olli Jokinen a 94 Buick Roadmaster woody wagon is better
LOOKS LIKE A TRUCK..ITS LIKE A TRUCK.
because of this video i bought myself a old chevy caprice wagon 1992 such a great car :D
Me too! A 1991 lol 😂
I had the Roadmaster Estate Wagon. I can't say this enough. It is the most comfortable car I've ever owned. Regardless on how big the vehicle is. It feels like it's floating down the road, even at highway speeds. I'm getting a 92 Caprice wagon here in a few days. Can't wait for that feeling again
I had a ‘91 Caprice wagon. Great vehicle. Over 175k miles when I sold it. One of the best vehicles GM ever made.
Don't know why but I want one, so versatile so much storage
And rear facing seats
Perfect for making faces at the motorists behiend you
I just bought a 93 Caprice wagon with the wood down the sides. Great review! Can't wait to get mine on the road.
Damn it, I love these cars. I absolutely will have one at some point, I swear!
My dad had exactly like this one, but 1991.. Still running and was an amazing car for long trips!!
If I had a caprice 90's I wont take a plane again!
Just bought a '91 wagon a couple of days ago - the more I'm learning about them, the more I'm falling in love with my car!...
Wow that car is amazing. I love the rear facing 3rd row seats! I remember my uncle and my first grade teacher both had cars like this! It's really cool. That was back in like 1995 though. My uncle still has his, in his garage in excellent condition.
This brought back memories of the '92 Olds Custom Cruiser I had.
Beautiful car. A proper estate or wagon as the Americans call them. Built to last for 50 years and to travel vast distances across the USA. No fun on crowded UK roads, but god I’d like to cruise in one of these down Route 66.
Sorry to be so offtopic but does anybody know of a tool to get back into an instagram account..?
I was dumb forgot my password. I appreciate any tricks you can offer me.
@Gannon Nathan Instablaster :)
@Bryce Dash thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and im trying it out atm.
Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Love that space. You could go somewhere and sleep overnight in the back and have loads of room to stretch out. Great thing about the USA that there is the space to have these super size vehicles on the road. Even with the dated interior it would be such a soft cruising beast.
Mark Bennett
U could fit an air mattress in the back with all the seats folded down. This car would make an awesome road trip car
Awesome video, Kyle! I also like how you always greet us in the video with: hey, guys. How’s it going? That’s awesome!
Nice looking car. I've always liked this version of the Chevy Caprice Classic.
This car is a classic of the American automobile industry, very comfortable its maneuverability its internal space is exquisite I would love to have one of these here in Brazil.
Always loved how the front indicators alternate between the main bulb and the little side one. I think that goes way back to the 70s? My 79 Grand Prix did it too. Looks cool.
Man Kyle I learned so much more about these wagons in this video! Great work!! That L05 V8 is no LT1 but it's certainly better than the 305. It may only have 10 more hp but it's got 55 more lb-ft of torque which goes a long way. Plus it sounds great and you gotta love how the wagons have that side port exhaust. Dear GM, will you PLEASE bring these vehicles back??!!!
Sincerely,
Wagon Lovers
P.S. Kyle I think owning a Roadmaster has made you appreciate the B bodies that much more!!
Thanks for doing this!!! I saw one driving down my street, and thought of you. I was like, I wonder when he'll do one of those? And here it is!
Thanks for the review!!
I love how this guy can make any boring car seem awesome
What a beauty! Love the color as well! Great vid as always Kyle!
I like these vehicles more!! Good job Kyle.
Wow that's really clean-I never cleaned my car,I sold it for 275.00 to a garage-I needed a side lamp to get inspected and needed welding underneath.
favorite car in the world. great review as usual!
TITANIC lives ON!
.
Thanks for sharing, Kyle.
You make the best reviews.
i watched that video and after this i bought a 1992 Caprice Classic Station Wagon ^^
Beautiful...Simply beautiful. Always loved Caprices.
Hello Kyle... In 2024, I shall look for such a great car..... Please save the date.... Nice to watch your videos.
These wagon's are incredible, I'd buy it today! The Family Truxster, of course I'd have to put some wood on it!
Don't you dare put faux wood on this baby. It's perfection as it is.
Really nice car!! I love these old wagons
This is a real Chevy wagon, I really love the big cars. nice ride and smooth
engines.
That speed-o is bangin!
Great american car...
Very nice cars.... I love the Sedans. Good thing you god a vid of a 94 Sedan :D
I also like "Grocery Getters" A huge thumbs up on this one. Thanks
Exactly the same car that uxwbill owns! Cool find Kyle!
the caprice was the last american pride I think ...
ford Crown vic in my opinion because it ran for so long and it was the last true boaty american rwd v8 and they are bullet proof but as a last true wagon I say the caprice for sure.
What about the mid 90s Fleetwood
Crown Vic, roadmaster, viper, and gt they last great American cars
HOLDEN CAPRICE SS.
@@kraut5023 the law enforcement where I live still uses a bunch of the old Vic's
I just love this wagon as it is something that is very stylish.
It's my car's big brother! I drive a '93 Cavalier Wagon :)
Loved the cloths on these so much more than the leather!!!!
These Chevrolet caprice wagons are so awesome back in those days
I live in the UK but once i get some money in a few years i absolutely want to import either a 1991 or 1994 Caprice Sedan with the LT1 engine.
amazing vehicle, i love these
@Oxyquatzal7 there actually was a 4.3 V8 produced just for this car, the 4.3 V6 was actually in earlier caprices
that thing is a beast man
I seriously want one of these
This is similar to (if not exact) as the car I got from my dad and step-mom. I loved it so much.
With the rear seats down, we were able to fit an adult, a teenager, and 2 children to sleep comfortably.
I sincerely hope someday to find another, one that my ex-husband can't break. (He tried to drag race my car, killed it, then sold it for parts without my consent.)
LOL my Honda next to this thing would stop at the front seat. Love it.
What a fabulous car
@henryd1981 THANK YOU!!!! This engine actually wasn't updated. The LT1 is the engine from the corvette and has port fuel injection instead of throttle body and it looks different. They just stopped production of this and the L03 5.0L for 94 and de-tuned the LT1 a bit for these cars and came out with a new 4.3L V8 that looks pretty much identical to the LT1. Not sure the power specs on that engine though. But this is still a good engine with plenty of power. Way better than the standard 5.0L.
very good video
walked past one of these in a parking lot some time ago, had to make sure it wasn't a one off and that they all sound like tanks!
да так и есть
wow what a nice car
I freaking want one now! Off to autotrader lol.
Kyle, would greatly appreciate if you can do an indepth review of Olds Aurora, first or second gen. Thanks a bunch!
Like that car, better than any other Car for a Family :D
Remember a guy turned one of these into a sleeper. Left it along inside and out but he suped it up and it was his family hauler. Thing floated down the road but it was quick.
The Caprice wagon from this generation was only available in base form. This particular model has the upgraded upholstery option. Most people did not select this option. Leather upholstery was mot offered in the wagons.
@The1970sInfatuate Your grandpa had good taste in cars! Those Olds CC's are the hardest wagons to find nowadays out of all the B Bodies.
This is the best car I've seen so far in the comfort I wonder sold new in 2013?
i love love this car :)
@bigcrowfly strictly speaking, no caprice had a "corvette engine." they both had LT1s, but the corvette's had a four bolt main cap and aluminum heads while the caprice had two bolt main caps and cast iron heads.
7:35 what's that song? Would love to own this car and music system still seems amazing!
Edit: it's Flyleaf - all around me
I love older style cars especially station-wagons etc...
Awesome ride. I bet you could fit a couple coffins in the back with the rear 2 sets of seats down.
@flexor212000 I meant bring them back updated with airbags and stuff. it has a driver side airbag. This car is so huge and well built that the body itself will protect the passengers. It most certainly will wreck whatever gets in it's way because once again, older cars were much better built than anything made today. Today's cars need all of those airbags and electronics cause the bodies are much cheaper. Also, you don't need head restraints in back seats like these. Those seats are huge.
My elementary school principal used to have one of these, though I'm not sure if it was a Caprice or Roadmaster. It had fake wood panelling on the outside.
@crackparty Hell yeah!! Amen to that! Glad to hear someone appreciates their old Pontiac and look at the results. What was the guy who hit you driving?
@MatruyoRocket yup. 305 and 350 are the same. just with some bigger parts in the engine. in fact the intake on the 350 wagon will bolt right onto my 305.
My grandpa had a white one.It was a great car.
My aunt had one years ago until it got stolen, the lazy police department couldn't retrieve it. Now she has a 2002 Taurus wagon SE. I'm defiantly gonna search for one when I get my license in 2 years.
i love this car
Id love to own one of these. Oddly enough I enjoy your videos about old american cars like this one, more then let's say the new Ferrari.
@Oxyquatzal7 There was a 4.3 V8, was known as a baby LT1
I have the fantasist memory of riding in the backward facing rear seats. Although, I believe that was a generation behind this model or at the very least a '91.
Nice car
@killerr512 THANK YOU DAVID......finally someone who likes this car too
what an outrageous car
Just beautiful i want one 😁
@MatruyoRocket with a high amount of torque for relaxed cruising
Nice🙂
@slowride55 no it was a v8 brought back from the 50s, 265 cubic inches. it was named the L99 i believe in 94 through 96.
Im so tempted to get one 😂😂
I love it
As an european, when you park this car, do you have to pay the meter in two states?
@MatruyoRocket This car is 19 years old, you know. This engine has a lot of torque which it needs more than hp to haul that body fully loaded. It has plenty of power to move that car without bogging down and is great for towing.
At least in this Caprice wagon 93, foldable third row rear seats and two way tailgates were available reminding previous generations
Could you do an 88-91 Ford Crown Victoria / Country Squire wagon???
One of America's greatest creations.
Kyle, any possibility to do a review of one of that old Escalades right back there? (the silver or the black)
i love wagons!
Do you still have any nice Caprice wagon with LT1?
It's always award when someone sits in the very back seat of one of those things and stares right at you.
@halflife103 You capitalized the T and M in torque monster for what reason?
those wheels...
@saabkyle04 I must say I dont know much about american classics but this car is nice. How much would a decent caprice from the 90's cost you.?
Old school. I would never c me driving one of these. But heard there great highway cruisers
