Beautiful car, Kyle. They truly don't build them like this anymore, full sized, quiet comfort, smooth V/8 power, simple, easily understood controls, and an ample sized trunk. You're not going to find that in today's SUV, CUV, EVO car world!
@@PragmaticDany why can't they put a modern engine in it for better fuel economy, and try to lower the curb weight. Now we have a new car I would buy instantly!
I would too. I was thinking eventually getting another Lincoln which I have a 2006 Town Car but I'm back to thinking if I should get a newer model Lincoln or get an older car such a Cadillac Brougham for an example. GM had great looking cars back then even Ford & Mercury as well.
I saw one at an auto show with an LS1 swap he got 30 mpg on normal driving and 350 ish HP for when he needed the power. Wish I had the $ to do what he did. Perfect sleeper :O
My Great Grandmother raised me. She had the SHARPEST pea green 1978 CAPRICE CLASSIC 2door coupe. She drove that car like it was an Escort. I miss that car. I truly miss my NANA. If there were more NANA'S in the world, this would truly be a better world. R.I.P. MARY RUTH ROBINSON. 💘 Love,Scotty
Someone obviously looked after this beauty. You don't see cars like that over here in Britain at all. This is a classy color and interior combination. Love these old American cars, even if they are abit agricultural engineering-wise and don't always corner well.
My grandfather had a 78 Caprice Classic that is still running to this day and is used by my family. Aside from interior upgrades, looks like GM didn't want to mess up a good thing for over a decade, and I like that. :)
WOW just when I thought my car was nice DAMN you just can't beat a classic chevy in the style department love that 5.0 nice American muscle sound to it keep up the freshness Kyle!!!!!
That car is almost exactly like the one my friend's parents had when we were little, minus the leather seats. same color scheme and everything. Brings back memories. Nice, big, comfortable car!
Thank you for the trip down memory lane.My friends grandmother had the exact same car.As her health deteriorated she would only let me and her daughter drive her Caprice Broughman. The car was approximately 6 years old and it had if I remeber about 25,000 miles on it.It was like brand new.It was sold after her death in a farm auction. So sad wish I could have bought it.Thank you for posting.
jas4925 ik I'm a decade late but I'm sorry for your loss I'm sure she was a great woman one day you'll see her In heaven and you'll all be so happy and you'll have the old caprice to
Boulevardwheels yep my father has owned one for 20 Years but then it started to break down very often and air conditioning also stopped working very frequently so he ended up selling it 6 years ago.
The build quality is very good in this car. None of the door covers moved when the doors were got closed. It is a very nice car, but very rusty as well. Thanks for uploading!
First off I totally agree with Kyle about leaving you to make your own opinion about a vehicle, the point is tour / review not condem / sentence the vehicle. Now, this car is in beautiful condition. What a great find. My Brother in Law has a `93 that came from a 87 years young Lady that got a new Malibu. Her son bought her a car that was smaller because he felt the size of the Caprice was too large for safe driving of his aging Mom.
I want that Cassette deck. Those types of Cassette decks from GM (the ones where the tape goes in head first) were awesome decks. We never had any problem with those ones
I sure hope the next owner appreciates how the previous owner took care of this magnificent automobile and continues to do so. This car should be in a museum.😩
My first car 1989 Chevrolet Caprice Classic LS Brougham all black with presidential tint and grey interior! I miss that car &&&&&& I LOVE CHEVROLET'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After my Dad died from Wuhan I ended up with his ‘89. It looks every bit as good as this one and has all the bells and whistles this one has but without the leather seats. Everything works and the engine was throughly checked and AOK’d. Now guess what: 264,000 miles and runs like new. These were indeed some of Detroit’s best.

My 2nd car was a 1979 Impala.!0 years older, less plushness but the same engine and drivetrain as this one. Loved me a landboat, 8 mpg city, 14 hwy but it's only gas.

they should still be making these big, box-style american cars... they are great!
...and will empty your wallet at the gas station

beautiful! I'm a Caprice fan. I am Brazilian and an admirer of American cars.
One of the last of the true old school cars, before *everything* that looks like metal turned into plastic for the '93 model year.
أبداع من جنرال موتورز 👍🏽🥰
After the 1993 model, this car became a lot of plastic components?
I love this shifter on the steering wheel column in the American cars, they should've been included this feature in the news one!
God these old Chevy's were tanks. What a beautiful ride.
I'd take a mint condition Caprice Classic over ANY modern day vehicle.
%100
Your on my leavel that will be me to & i had a gray 1 just like that mint just like that 1. Boy i miss it, only difarece no leather cloth seats !

I made the same decision 8 months back over a Honda Civic and I don't regret
The good ol' box shaped American sedans especially when General Motors is king of quality back in the day.
not really, europeans in the 80s were busy making cars that were very forward thinking while GM were busy making cars that fit the 50s-60s max.
BarTa5oT - برتخوت but necessarily a bad thing.

when cars were real cars....
Couldn't agree with you more!
+Mustafa Joly People can't fucking drive no more. It sucks.
I agree. This thing is a car.

Real cars is right with non of that non sense as cars have today, more computerized than these beautiful cars as this Chevrolet.

Maaan..Look at that engine! Beautiful car! Makes me miss my 84 Caprice! I'll have another again some day.
Perfect A-1 condition Caprice! Nothing better than the sound of a small block OHV V8 being fired up! 👍
Classic..She's a beauty...

Beautiful car. My aunt had a ‘89 Brougham black with red pinstripes. Was a sweet car.
I'm surprised to see a Chevy so luxurious, Chevy has always been the value leader of the GM's,
man that radio brings back memories from my fathers cavalier.
This was a very preferred car in Middle East back in the day

I realize that this video is now 9 years old, but damn that car was clean!
I had a89' Blue just like this one and a 83 a two 78's when I grew up. Great Car!!
I would pay cash for it right now!!!
I long for my old Caprices.
Ah the sound of an American V8 starting up. Sounds exactly like my grandparent's '81 Le Sabre. Classic indeed!
That paint job, oh my!
I like Ford's V8 engines but the 5:54 exhaust purring of this GM V8 is unique. I'd listen to this Caprice's rumbling V8 a whole day if I could!
I'd love to drive this beauty 😍
Great video as always Kyle! What a beautiful older Caprice!
My mom used to have one just like this. Beautiful boat.
Old but gold
I had a blue 1988 Brougham like this one. Love those box Chevys...
I worked on these cars when new and they are great cars!
wow nice timing breaking benjamin this car truly took my breath out of me it was my fathers car lot of Memories
Never knew they made a Brougham edition of this car.
Lord Apophis yeah its like having a Cadillac instead of a taxi or cop car its a real luxury edition of the caprice trim
I had a blue one like this...
love that this one was kept original
This was my childhood family car, I loved it! Ours was gray
I'm glad you did this car because I was just looking at this car on some site a day before you posted this video.
I'm a brotha but I like keeping things stock. Only thing I touch is the motor
I'm while the most I'd do is put aftermarket rims so I don't tear up the original caps with the shitty roads Michigan has
goddamn I had that car in all white back in 93. what a sweet gas guzzling ride!
Actually nice to see one of these that's not on 30s.

Really hope this one wasn't lifted, put on huge wheels & given a loud paint job & massive sound system. Would be nice to preserve.
finally a caprice without 97" rims
I like the color of this car!! Terrific job bro.
Awesome condition. Wonder how it is doing now.
I love it! it's a beautiful car!
Nice vid Kyle. These are easily my most favorite cars.
I love the older cars alot better than the newer cars.I also love the spedometer on this car.

Great comprehensive vidoe, well done, love the car, but would have been better without the leather interior, prefer the cloth and velour seats
Good find, Kyle! This reminds me of what the homies drove while I was in high school.
one of my favorite vids Kyle, these are one of my favorite cars 85-89 caprices, and this one sounds and looks amazing
One things for sure your guys really know how to clean a car up nice, that engine compartment looked show room new. Nice job indeed!!
Engine is extremely healthy by all dat water comin out da exhaust. I'm impressed.
A great looking car
I am usually a BMW fan but i really like/appreciate these cars. Some american cars are amazing in their own way (especially the 70-80s ones)
IAM from Pakistan and I think it's the most beautiful car on Earth 😍🤩

so rare to see this kind of car in a stock condition....it's quite refreshing.

frame on body, solid rear axle with rear wheel drive, V8, it's a real car!!! it's a shame they don't make them like this anymore
Very nice car! It almost looks like it could of came off the assembly line yesterday.
For that year model, the 5.7 V8 was only offered in the 9C1 police package.
I enjoyed it I miss those Caprices 😎😎
