Gorgeous Wagon!! Best Body Style Ever!!! These cars floated down the highway and were super quiet
I have an 89 caprice sedan, these are the best cars. I wish they still built cars like this.
Amen to that
Do you still have it ?
I freakin love these full size station wagons especially the GM models. The very last year before they redesigned them to the more rounded body style. The wood grain model were my favorite compared to the non wood grain. These wagons have so much class even today. This particular model was heavily loaded out since it had option package #3. Great car Anthony. You are a true GM collector.
It amazes me how much attention these cars get. Thumbs up all the time down the highway!
@@specialtymotorcars I thought they were referred as Femwagon.
This beautiful station wagon is ideal for a light restoration, I love these Chevrolet Caprice Classic’s. Much better than the new cars of today in 2019.
Right u are
Sweet :) We had a 1980 Buick Electra Estate Wagon, Deseal, then a 1984 gas powered one, Great memories 😀
D-I-E-S-E-L
We had a oldsmobile customer cruiser and the neighbors had a Buick estate wagon just like this one. Clean
We had a Ford Country Squire wagon! My favorite car we ever owned.
@@klwthe3rd The GM B-body wagons and the Ford Panther wagons from the '80s were the bee's knees.
I love love love these old wagons!!!
Nice! Looks great. Glad to see a few of these old wagons so well maintained and preserved and finally worth some decent money. They used to be a common sight on the roads in the 1980s and even well into the 1990s. Now you rarely ever see one. I love station wagons. The cars of my childhood.
I learned how to parallel park in an '85 Pontiac Parisienne wagon. I loved these big cars.
I was taken home from the hospital in a 1984 Parisenne wagon, that is what brings me back!
I remember these!! I learned to drive with one of these! Great Memories!!!
I wish i seen this back when you 1st got this my wife would hate if i purchased that lol but we have 7 kids we need something like this!👍🏿
This was my childhood. I learned to drive in this car when I was 10.
My favourite vehicle ever old school... I love them and i wish i had few of them on day...
Love from pakistan Anthony... Nice job dear...
Love this channel, need that wagon! Your collection is awesome!
Thank you!!
Awesome car. I love these station wagons
Ill be doing a video on my 89 Electra this week!
When I was a kid we had a 1976 GMC Custom made wood paneled station wagon that her CB handle was The Green Machine, because she was green & wood paneling had the power windows and luggage rack on top
Pre-airbag, column shifter. Nothing wrong here. Love it!
I love your cherolet caprice station wagon classic car 👍💚❤
Cars back then had to either come with airbags or had come with those stupid automatic front seatbelts via gov mandate. Gm found a loophole around the gov mandate by putting the front seatbelts on the door. The theory was that if the seatbelt could remain buckled while at the same time allowing the driver and passenger to get in and out of the car without having to unbuckle the belts, then it was just as good as the automatic seatbelts were.
Beautiful, Looks like it was definitely garage kept. And wow, that's low mileage for a 1990.
Why is it bring listed on eBay. I've never seen you do that before.
You don't see too many of them anymore. I remember in middle school, at the apartment complex we live in at the time, our neighbor had one just like that, though I don't remember if it was the Caprice or the oldsmobile or the year, but am guessing maybe late 1980s?? being that was about 20 yrs ago, but my fondest memories were watching mom struggle to see backing out of the parking lot when parked next to it, because that station wagon was enormously large, compared to her 1992 mercury sable sedan. 😁
Anyway nice find.
Anthony you mean cheryl's version of the ultimate family truckster.lol I had an 82 chevy wagon road great then engine ran forever. That state equipment was just the wood trim.beauty!
It's funny because when I was in high school I wanted a station wagon.... This is a Beautiful car but I would take the wood stickers off! Great Video!
Love it! Another great find.
A couple who ran a small grocery store near where I lived had a dark blue one. This was in the late '80s to the early '90s. They later traded it in for a Toyota Highlander.
Nice I have the 87caprice sedan I drive in 2019
I daily drive an 89.
I do the same
Close. Looks similar but I have a daily driver in 2019 it’s a 89 ford country squire, 157000 miles and rides like a dream
I'd drive it and wouldn't even blink an eye
Man you find the coolest cars
Cool tailgate, it still doesn't beat power tailgate of Custom Cruiser
My grandfather had the ford country squire. Without the wood trim. Love these old big wagons both GM and Ford
Rare to find without wood! That was a common option.
I had 1985 like this great cars!.
I’m from England but station wagons from the 80s are honestly my favourite cars especially gm I even really like the 90s ones
They are great. I have a 1989 Electra wagon and a 1996 Roadmaster in my collection. They are a lot of fun
only 12k were produced, true gem
Nice woody caprice wagon. I just subscribed to your channel. I own a 94 caprice classic. Polar white blue crushed velvet interior with the laced rims on the outside. Has over 300k on it. Runs and drives perfect. I keep it maintained. Best car I've ever owned.
Thanks for subscribing. I love wagons, my daily is a 1996 Roadmaster Wagon, only 59k miles.
Yes we had one and we miss it
dam 9 seats that's a big motor looks very very nice. very clean super clean wooow if it was me i would but mats in that car to safe the carpets
You have a neat car to show us? Bit of an understatement there my friend.
Wow that is one nice looking vehicle there!
For anyone wondering why the seat belts are mounted on the doors in the front seating position, this was actually a Federal requirement. You see, beginning in 1990 all passenger cars for sale in the U.S. must be equipped with a passive restraint system, this criteria could be satisfied by either airbags OR automatic seat belts. In the GM models typically from about 1988 to 1993 that were not equipped with airbags, the seat belt buckles were supposed to be used only as an emergency release, and you'd open the door, slide under the belts and upon closing the door you were buckled, of course 99.9 percent of drivers and passengers treated them as manual belts. Beginning in 1995 passenger cars must have at least a drivers side airbag, and these door mounted belts (and the motorized shoulder belts common on Ford and many Japanese models particularly Toyota) were a thing of the past. In 1997 passengers cars (1998 for trucks) dual front airbags were required.
Beautiful car ❤
Even if it's no curved it's still aerodynamic.
This SW has 3 gears ahead or 4? Can the gearbox be changed for a more modern one, with 5 gears ahead?
Nice and clean!
Gorgeous wagon...
Box Chevy baby! Love this one
GORGEOUS!
Woa is that original factory I
Invoice in the window ?! That's so awesome how many vehicles you get with the original factory invoices
I remember these when I was a kid. I think this was the same type of wagon used in the movie Beethoven.
I THINK they used a ford or mercury Colony Park. I remember them at the camp site with it and the father splitting a log of wood that broke the corner lamp.
I noticed that the battery is on the left side. most of them were on the right side.
I think that had to do with what engine the cars came with. My Cadillac Broughams with the 307 are on the left, while the 305 and 350's were on the right.
Exactly! Another hint, the Olds engines have an oil fill neck at the very top front of the engine, while the Chevrolet engines are on the valve cover, passenger side, I believe.
The air conditioning compressor and the alternator are also on opposite sides on Chev. vs. Olds V8s.
Nice wagon. I knew one person, who bought three brand new over the years. He beat them senseless delivering and moving too. But they held up even with the beatings!
Tough old cars they were!
Great car though i wanna ask does the 74 imp flat front seat ( 2 in one seat ) has a power moves ?
You lost me there? Front seats are both power.
👍🤩💘 I love your cherolet station wagon classic
If you knew about cars, you would know these are not “hubcaps” (which you called them twice), but “wheel covers”. These happen to be the optional wire wheel covers. “The wood is in nice shape, not faded, no rust underneath any of the wood.” These are woodgrain decals
I like my wire wheel hubcaps, and wood trim.
I would love this car
Kool!
I wonder why it has an Olds 307, and not a Chevy 305...
GM was consolidating engine production in the late '80s. At this point, sales of the B-body wagons was waning. I think the Chevy 305 was being allotted to other models like the Camaro, and it was easiest/cheapest to put the same engine in all three wagons (Chevy, Olds, and Buick). The Caprice sedan got the fuel-injected 305.
How come nothing was mentioned about the transmission it was on your car site. Sounds a little shady to me.
Shady would be me selling it and not disclosing it. The video is supplemental to my pictures on the site.
@@specialtymotorcars I was just surprised you didn't say anything about it. You have some really nice cars and most are in mint condition, just was surprised you handled this car. I have a 95 Deville 110000 miles pretty much in original condition, I'm the second owner. Love my Caddy. I apologize for how I phrased my comment.
I always loved the Buick version of this car as well as the caprice. wasn’t too big on the Parisienne but they were all great! LOVE that blue velour interior though. So comfy looking! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
check out my website, In my collection i have a 1989 Electra wagon that is the same color combo, with leather. www.specialtymotorcars.net
Wow nice caprice estate wagon
Will a chime from a 1985-91 Mercury Grand Marquis fit in place of the regular chime in this Caprice wagon?
Oooo I wouldn’t have the slightest clue.
Not sure. The buzzers and chimes were interchangeable across the GM line (they plugged into the fuse block on the firewall). The Ford electronic chimes sounded little different so they were probably sourced from a different manufacturer and might have had a different connector than the those used by GM. I would not be surprised if they were interchangeable, though, same as the thermal signal flashers across all GMs, Ford, and Mopars.
What a beauty!
Wow I was just thinking about this car.. because it was my first car. Mine was just brown!!!!
Pretty damn nice.
The almost $20,000 price tag in 1990 is about $42,000 in 2022 money. Sounds like a lot, but compared to today's family hauler SUVs, Crossovers and minivans, that's actually quite reasonable, though lacking the safety, performance and reliability improvements since then.
you do sell beauties my compliments you do love the good gm cars the dinos love you guy
Beautiful car! Back when GM was the king!
Plate C
Search as I might...I can't seem to find this vehicle listed on Ebay at all.
Never got listed. I had a repeat customer reach out to me and bought It before I had the chance to list it!
@@specialtymotorcars Glad you got it sold...sad that it wasn't to me! I'm sure the buyer will appreciated it!
Génial les sièges a l arrière vision derrière les gosse devait adorer
Thís is a 1990 shape..…?
Wow! It looks exactly like 1971!
More like 1977. Everything prior to that was aircraft sized.
Nice !!
NICE
Good car
1990 did a good job after when may change To the round or style which is even better..
Anthony, I’m curious what this car sold for? It was a really nice old, good condition wagon.
Sold it for cost @$2,800. It needed a transmission and I wasn’t going to repair it.
Nice car 👍
O verdadeiro carro americano linda
I’ll bet that she wasn’t a grandma yet when she was driving this car.
Probably not, but it was gently used!
Another fine piece of Americana. I am trying to get my son to agree to one of your machines as his first car. Your cars would make great conversation starters, would be a nice sight at the local Cars and Coffee amongst all the rich boy cars, and would make for enjoying the drive and not just worrying about performance numbers. Maybe will be in contact sometime in November !!!
Let me know when you convince him!
Lovely😍
These are real cars
I wonder if a 12v cummins would fit into it.
Doubt it but I'm pretty sure you can put the 5.3 into it and then she'd be perfect.
I'm very surprised that this caprice wagon has the 307 olds engine instead of the Chevy 305 but very nice they sell well love those b bodies
I can relate 😍
Would love to have this one deliver to Shelbyville ky?
I can help with shipping anywhere
Very nice car 🚙
🤩😍🤩 wow very beautiful
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
My friend ripped his arm with the back door handle. For month's we found his arm stuff. Imagine the car parked even with the sidewalk and a motorbike driving about 10 mph and suddenly hitting his arm dead center of the back handle.
I daily drive an 84, no wood though. Great car but not as nice as this one
My daily is a '96 Roadmaster Limited wagon. I love wagons!
That front bumper is off of a 1989 model caprice year.. You cant fool me man. Its either that wagon has been wrecked an the front bumper has been replaced or its an 1989 buddy.
No it's an 90 the seat belts are on the doors on the 90 caprice.
O I'm in love with car
I just bought one of these I'm 17
Lucky kid! They are cool !
Anthony, you only sell on eBay? Not on lot show ur sell price, shipping?
I never got it listed on ebay, it sold before that. Most of the cars I sell from my shop. This one is SOLD
I remember back in the 90's when I first got my drivers license these wagons were so common, you'd see them everywhere. Nowadays to say they are "Rare" is a very accurate statement
HOW MUCH SEND IT TO MY HOUSE ALWAYS WANTED ONE I REALLY WANTED AND OLDSMOBILE BUT THIS WILL DO FINE LOOKING RIDE!!
I have one for sale 1989. 3000 needs trans, I have it but needs rebuilt
Add the fillers, Anthony you usually sell things turnkey.
Yes I know, but this car I decided to sell as it was. I needed to free up some space in the shop.
The electra and Pontiac safari station wagon and the cutlass vista cruiser share the same chassis
You mean Olds Custom Cruiser. The Cutlass Cruiser was the G-body mid-size.
Strange I had one of these and from what I remember I thought all of the BOP cars had the 307 in them one only the Chevrolet had, like mine did, Chevrolet engines. Mine was a 305 with a Quadrajet like the 70s cars did but it had a TPS sensor in it and I had the first year with the 4speed auto… that was that cars only weakness but a huge one.
I believe it was around '86 or so that they put the Olds 307 in all three wagons (Chevy, Olds and Buick). Prior to that, the Chevy and Pontiacs got the Chevy engines.

What did this car sell for ?
SHE IS BEAUTIFUL !! ............. I OWN A 1982 WAGON
My parents owned a 1974 Pontiac Le Mans Grand Safari station wagon and TO THIS DAY say that was the BEST car they EVER owned...
