I've dispensed two fills from my new UKeg so far, and is working great! It fits in the fridge and my wife doesn't mind it being there. Translation, it looks nice and doesn't take up too much room, so we are both happy!

You can! Just got one and tried emptying cans into it and dispensing them. Obviously not as carbonated and fresh as you would get from a bar but it definitely does the job.

My Ukeg 64 doesn't have the tabs on the cartridge seal retainer. Instead it has threads to hold it in place. Is this a new design?
