    There are some beautiful stealth camping spots in your area if you look closely. In this camp I find a freshly mown flat grass area behind a busy road behind a hedge to camp for a sneaky mid-week overnight adventure. It was great to be out and get to see a beautiful sunset and sunrise to break up a busy work week.Very chilled despite the road noise enjoying simple camping food watching the sunset and also waking up to sunrise in the morning one of the best things about stealth camping.

    "We'd better mow the lawn. Richard from Day Tripper is coming!" Your best video yet Richard. Loved the shots, the editing and your narration. Baked beans idea genius. Thanks and ATB - Ben

      Thanks Ben - yes it’s very good of the council to prepare that spot. Nobody goes or sees that area behind the hedge but I suppose it’s in someone’s mowing list…baked beans carton worked really well. Steams steak slice not so good but mash is great and only used less than quarter of the packet. Thanks again for your encouraging words and support which I really appreciate 👍😄

    Very impressive spot for a stealth camp. Good preparation for your upcoming thru hike as you may need to find similar spots I suppose. The tent looks great too. Loads of space in there for very little weight I imagine? Great watch as always Richard. Hope you’re well?

      You get more daring the more you do Anthony. I think wild camping is like going back to childhood hide and seek. The thrill of getting away with it always keeps it exciting 👍

    Brilliant spot! I love the idea of camping in sneaky little spots like this. Using these spaces in a way that those who design them and maintain them did not anticipate.

      It’s fun is n’t it. I still don’t really know why this is maintained like this. It could be more visible from the road in winter when hedge has no leaves I suppose 👍

    What a cool little stealth camping spot Richard 👌 lovely mowed lawn. Dinner looked decent for a throw together. Enjoyed this one. Lee

      Thrown together?….😂 this is classic camping food Lee. Although steamed steak slice is not really recommended it was fun and who cares everything tastes better outdoors 👍

    Really enjoyed this video Richard. Love your Union Jack plate. I could just eat that Steak Slice, baked beans and mash. Only thing is I would’ve liked to have seen Joyce stealth camping with you on this one. 😂❤️🇬🇧🇵🇭

    I like the mash idea because you can put most things with it for a substantial meal.

    There's a lot of snobbery against instant mash, but it does the job, and like ramen you can jazz it up with extra bits to make it really nice. I would eat that dinner camping or not tbh.

      I steamed a steak slice Alan. Not recommended and definitely not same as cooking a real Cornish pasty. Can you let me know the history of the Cornish pasty. Was it originally for the tin miners?

    Definitely your own space for the night Richard. Good and stealthy. I love them little spaces. Good bit of grub and it was a decent sunrise to. If you live in the urban centers you have to be inventive with your camps. Good going. Mark

    • @DayTripperAdventures
      @DayTripperAdventures  3 роки тому +2

      Yes Mark I only shared it will a few foxes that passed through. If you stay local you can get a quick camp in during the week. If it does n’t work out you can always head home in middle of the night. We have to keep our sense of adventure going even when life can sometimes get a bit mundane 👍😄

    Another great video mate 👏. Good on you for getting out and about. I too have a Tipinova tent and find it a excellent tent for all year round. Much better than the ‘Coffin tents’ I use to use. I myself go out wild camping regularly, love the outdoors. It helps with my mental health too, I’m a 58 yr old Ex Infantry Soldier and unfortunately have the mental scars that won’t go away. Outdoors with nature is the only thing that gives me peace. Great Channel mate, love the vids..👍

      Thanks Mikael - it’s so good going outdoors feels like you can breathe again. I do get condensation in Tipinova but I do like it 👍

    • @Christian-qs3pi
      @Christian-qs3pi 2 роки тому

      @@DayTripperAdventures REF Condensation in the Tipinova, I improved air circulation in mine by putting a very small piece of branch inside the vent flaps to wedge them open. Also on the peg out points at the bottom of the tent ,I have added some para cord to extend the flaps,so to lift them up off the ground more,so more air can circulate. I don’t find condensation a problem as it’s easily wiped off with sponge cloth, also I have friends who have paid over £500 for tents yet still have condensation issues. I suppose in a “coffin” style tent it would be a issue ,but not in this spacious Tipinova ⛺️🤗
