    In this episode I do a review of the TIPINOVA double tent by OneTigris. This is a great light weight shelter to be used for backpacking, wild camping or bushcraft. I hope you enjoy the video, don't forget to Subscribe, Like and Share.

    yeah but you can make a tipi that big or even bigger folding a square tarp correctly

      Yeah you can, it’s a lot of work to get it right but it can be done. Thanks for the comment 🙏

    That's a pretty descent set up. I think they changed the name because Black Orca sounds cooler than One Tigris, lol

    Really nice setup and great review! I was looking at this tent online it is priced very reasonably too. I can definitely see how the tripod setup would be a good way to go! Thanks Kenny!

      Honestly probably not. Maybe if you lay at an angle, but again probably not.

    Great video. When I hunt/fish or just bushwack, I only carry a 10' x 10' tarp as it's about 1 1/2 lbs. Usually I don't pack my Eureka dome tent as it's near10 lbs. The problem with a tarp shelter now are the mosquitos and ticks if you have to have a nap or so. This looks perfect and I'll try to get one just for day outings. The grandkids would love it also. Many thanks. Cheers.

      Thank you my friend! Yeah I like the bug protection in the warmer months. That’s probably why I like the colder weather.

    How does this tent do in the rain. I already have 1 tent that sucks in the rain, I don’t need another. This looks like the perfect setup for just me

    • @UglyTent

      It does ok for an ultra light shelter, but it’s not the same as a good sturdy tent. Nothing beats my Eureka!

    that's a suh-weet tent, it lend itself to stealth camping. is the color Earth brown or olive drab? thanks for sharing.

    I wonder: this is the only video or picture where the mesh around the bottom is covered with that velcro-flap. Also in the specifications always only the outside flaps are mentioned. Are there two different versions, and if yes, how can I be sure I get the version with these velcro-flaps (product-ID or such)? These seem very useful, if not necessary, against cold draughts as well as humidity coming from the ground up.

    I have this and posted some issues about it on other videos. Overall it's a good tent but I still prefer others I have. Noticed an answer to Pudge's comment... "Nothing beats my Eureka!" Which model?

    • @UglyTent
      @UglyTent  5 років тому +1

      The Eureka Solo DownRange. It is a stout little tent!

    • @twentyonetwelve2179
      @twentyonetwelve2179 5 років тому +1

      @@UglyTent Agreed! I had that model, sold it. The Eureka TCOP is a great military shelter but heavy. My FAV and go to now is the Eureka Mountain pass 1 ... no longer made. I think Eureka gave the tent body design to the Military side and just never re-made it after that.

    I've heard about these 'ounces' things, they used to use them back when bushels and chaldrons were in use. Very quaint. Now, what does it weigh in a 20th century mearing system?
