- Its raining, strong winds, time to test out the new tepee tent from OneTigris the tipinova.
I wanted a tent thats bigger than a bivi tent or just a bivi bag but still low profile with plenty of room inside and also not weight too much!
I saw reviews on this tent, saved up enough so I thought ill give it a go. in this video is my first camp out in it and even better theres a storm coming to give it a good test!
I had a unwelcome visit late at night but other than that I had a good time.

Looks like a decent piece of kit except for those vents. But like you said a bit of velcro would sort it. I was recently looking at the tangram. But I already have 3 tents and the wife said 'no more' 😁.
Great review. That tent itself seems like it has a lot of brilliant ideas made into it, but it looks like a pure bugger to set up along, especially if you were in a hurry in the wind or the dark. But I bet that once you have set it up a few times, it comes easier. It looks really nice!!

It had a pretty good test run didn’t it mate. I do like these type of tents, very lightweight but you get loads of room.
The helicopter was nuts, they must have being looking for someone like you said, in the woods.

Yeah it was a good first test. I mainly wasn't too happy with the vents. But as you say, lots of room for the weight. Yeah I think someone said the police was looking for someone, last time they were looking for a guy walking around with a gun. Thanks for watching.
Great video.. I lived in a tipinova tent for over year,and it served me very well. Ref the ventilation flaps, no rain came through mine at all,so i wouldn’t worry about that,looks can be deceiving, and i used a small twig to keep those vents open. Yes it does have condensation sometimes, but it’s never an issue as the tent is so big space wise that I never touched the sides. Also a simple sponge cloth clears any condensation up.
One has to remember it is a single skin tent. I been in much smaller two skin tents and had worse condensation issues,including me touching the sides. Ref the tent pegs ,I only used 6 as the flaps and the tent body itself use the same pegging out points,and have a buckle to tighten them up together. This tent worked well for me with and without using the guy lines depending if in the open or not. Overall,for its weight,space,comfort it’s an excellent tent. One can pay hundreds more yet not have the same space,nor comfort,or weight even. Do you still use it the tent ?

Shame you're not too pleased with the tent mate, gutted for you. I understand your concerns with it though, I also thought the skirting on the mesh inner isn't very high either, so bit of wind and rain could blow under the outer and bring it all in over the skirting. Shame coz it's a nice looking thing. Helicopter matmy have been looking for someone, half expected you to get disturbed by search and rescue 😂
Yeah, theres a few things Im not too happy with but I go to keep it. Maybe not use in real bad weathers. Lol yeah I was expecting the ole bill to be jumping me. More than likely they searching for someone. Last time when one flew over our house, they where looking for a gun man! Thanks for watching

Cheers mate. Its excellent for the price. But it has split a couple of times, other than that its great!
This straw has no inner awning. For the entrance there is only one layer in the morning on another street. is that too much sweat?

Good review. Ordered the tent myself of the back of other reviews. Not being funny but yours doesn’t seem to be set up as well as the others I’ve seen, no offence. 5 pegs are for the ties around the base. I’m pretty sure they share a peg. The other 5 for the mid tie outs for stormier weather. I did see a guy had one half of the door open and tied to his other pole and made a good larger covered porch area.
