I love the solitude as well. If I feel emotionally tired, I like to get away and solo camp. Always clears my head and gives me a clearer perspective on things. Thanks so much for bringing us along.
Thanks yes me too it just helps us process fast paced life. It’s always an effort getting out but once out with a backpack it always feels so liberating
Great to see you back out 'stealthing' it Richard - I've missed these vids you do! Nice location and spot I have to say. I smiled when I saw the 4.45am time stamp as I experienced this this morning on a camp! Nice camera tracking by the way. Thanks for making the vid. Ben
Thanks Ben it was great to be out again. I find as soon as it’s light I tend to wake up so often just get up and pack away plus see the sunrise if there is one. Hope you had a great camp on Seven Sisters. The tracking is fun but I’m still getting used it it. Some people now think I have a camera man 😆
I have bucket loads of solitude. For me it would be being out in the open air, listening to the birdsong and very distant traffic… rain on the tent is always soothing for me too. All that and simply the challenge of finding a stealthy spot. 👍🏼
Enjoyed this stealth camp Richard. Heading into winter down here in Victoria, Australia so the will to go hiking has taken a dent. Hoping to go for a good day trip soon. Stay well mate
Hi there! Fun to watch yet another trip into the great unknown! It must feel really exciting discovering these hidden areas and being at one with the sights and sounds of the natural world around us which we so often miss.
Hi Kris so good to hear from you and thanks for the lovely birthday card. It’s fun exploring and then finding a secluded spot for a camp. It is exciting not knowing if you’ll find somewhere but normally it turns out well. God Bless you
@gravedigga314 great look forward to it. Just hope he is ok. I know u tube can be disappointing sometime and it’s easy to get discouraged after putting so much into it
Nice to get out and away from the bricks and mortar world and out into the green grassy world, Richard. You get more filming done on a solo camp and it is nice to be in my own company out in the sticks. Nice to see you out again.
Thanks Tim that’s right it’s always time well spent getting out. So much easier filming when solo. Seeing the huge bridge made me remember our first camp. This was a great spot but a bit of a hike otherwise I would have asked you come along
Indeed it's good to reset Richard. I've been a busy of late, but hope to get out soon. Those large meals are quite something ! The camera footage looked pretty good to be . Atb Grant 👍
What are your thoughts on camo tents ? Would a mid brown or stone gray be as stealthy? My thoughts are should you be discovered by dog walker in a camo tent rather than a plane solid colour that might be considered a bit more sketch in a camo ? Sorry i ment to put my comment in the general comment.
@DayTripperAdventures I have to look for the names of the repellents. But it is always better to have one than none. I'm still watching your channel and I'm glad you are back out there. Keep doing what you love and I will watch it.
On my last adventure I was bitten so much by mosquitoes 🦟 I went and purchased a Thermacell and used it yesterday whilst out filming, the difference was fantastic 😁
For an industrial wasteland, it wasn't a bad spot for a camp at all! Always good to have some peace and quiet. 👍
Yes it’s become a nature reserve amazing what nature does over time

Cool..love how Mother Nature is gradually claiming back these places
It is amazing how natures takes them back and recreates these green spaces
I always look forward to your stealth camps. Thank you.
Thanks Roland

Thanks Scott the weather makes a big difference plus shorter days. That’s why I much prefer camping in summer apart from the bugs that is
Lovely to hear the cuckoo so early . Great video looks great there
Thanks it really turned out to be a good spot much better than expected

Great wisdom. I also enjoy the quiet, solo camping and grounding(bare feet). Excellent video Sir!

Thanks Gravedigga great to hear from you again. Is there any update from Josh Hidden Hammock?
@@DayTripperAdventures he has a premiere tomorrow! I'm excited

I hope your new job is going well Grant. Thanks for the feedback main thing is the camera follows you around. Hope you get out soon 👍
I must get out to do one of these...we have lots of old colliery sites up here where i could get hid away.
Great idea as long as you take care not to fall down any hidden mine shafts
there are anti mosquito products that work well.Especially the gas powered ones
Thanks Bill definitely will try one this summer
Great video Richard thankyou.
Thank you for watching
Enjoyed that
Thank you
Great to hear a cuckoo, few and far between these days
Recently I heard quite a few so hopefully things are improving
Have you thought about a multi-day hike where you camp along the way like when you did the coast to coast walk
Yes I have when I have more time I will do another one
Great little camp Richard 👌. That solitude will have felt a lot better when your 'mozzie' neighbours went to bed 😉
Thanks - Yes I was surprised so many mossies so early in the season so was not prepared.
This is why I don’t camp in the summer; the insects ruin it
They can be challenging but I suppose we are going into their natural environment so we just have to find a way to deal with them with bug nets etc
4:44 Did you go on your own ? I only ask as the camera was moving? Great video. 👍
Yes I have new camera that can track movement the DJI Pocket 3
@DayTripperAdventures Wow, it's very impressive and professionally
Thank you it’s the latest tech

@@robduncan599 Guss it goes on your surroundings. A camouflage tent with netting is perfect for the woods and forests. It's a case a blending in.
On your next video I hope you didn’t trip like last time
Hi get yourself a Flextail mosquito repellant.
Thanks yes I’ll check it out. I was not expecting these so early in the season
I'm not very enthusiastic about my flex tail, but me thermacell works perfect
@oldirtybeuner which one do you use Beun ? Great to hear from you again
