A few other things to mention....
    1. An employee whom has been dedicated and loyal since the store opened 6 years ago, received a "congratulations" pin for his lapel and a thank you note. This man is in his late 70s, never calls out sick, never complains, retrieves all of the shopping carts spread out across the parking lot in snowy/blizzard conditions, cleans the restrooms, takes out all the garbage and helps with the truck deliveries and that's ALL the gratitude they extended to him. One word....MISERABLE!!
    2. Managers very rarely will jump on a register to help out when cashiers are flooded with long lines during peak times, but rather sit in the front office acting as though they're working on the computer or standing around in the back stockroom on the "timed" computers allegedly completing their weekly inventory. Does it take two hours to data enter info into a computer??? Seriously???
    3. The bar codes NEVER work and most of the new produce items won't scan as well, because no one bothered to enter them into the system. Same issue with the bar codes for LBM meals.
I can go on and on...but I believe you've covered it 1,000% Congratulations on your new opportunity. I'm 1,000% confident you'll be much happier and valued.

Is this the Henderson ave store in Tampa???? I was abused and bullied so much as a AGSM. I have ptsd. Don’t work at this store! It’s worse now than she’s talking! All these points are true. And whatever you do…. Don’t work for Victor Day.

Rebecca, thank you for your super accurate overview of what it's actually like to work at The Fresh Market (aka....the Frozen Market, due to most of the food is actually frozen and defrosted prior to placing on shelves and tables). Yes, you guessed it...I worked at this most miserable company in the world!! Everything you mentioned has actually occurred at our store in Connecticut. They truly don't value their employees, especially those whom are professional, efficient and hard working. If anyone needs a job, there are plenty of companies hiring now and whom will truly value you and pay well. It's quite astonishing that this company is still in business. With a new BigY nearby (doing quite well, impacting this store's revenue) and a new Whole Foods in the works, maybe this will be the nail to burst their inflated egos and increasing prices. People are definitely very much aware of what high quality actually is and their over inflated prices. Over the weekend they wanted us to push this new Feeding America initiative that when a "Loyalty Member" customer purchases a $100 gift card, only a mere $10 actually (so they say) goes to feed (allegedly) 100 meals. That means, The Fresh Market pockets $90. How miserable!!! If they truly want to make an impact, it would be the opposite....$90 to Feeding America and $10 to The Fresh Market.

I absolutely agree! It was such a shame to hear and read good things but actually experience a totally different thing. I was very saddened by this and lost all hope after 2 weeks lol I sadly once lasted a month which is not what I wanted but the pay and drive was not worth what I got back. Such a shame.

I got sent this link from someone I worked with at the same store, a lot of this is really accurate. I worked there from October 2019 till Thanksgiving 2021 and I had almost no training but worked every single department at least once

It's so sad how they under appreciate the many people that can flex this way and perform amazingly over expectations yet they will reward kiss ups and those that know people in higher places. So disgusting. I'm sorry you dealt with this, but I'm glad my video was accurate!
I try to just speak the truth and hope it helps others when making a decision in which companies to invest in.

I posted before but deleted my comments. After a month of being there I'm considering not showing up starting tomorrow. I think I'm quitting because I really don't like how unfriendly and unapproachable the staff are. This place is so unwelcoming since day one I just can't take it anymore. If I don't turn in my name tag and discount keychain will they ask for it back?

Omg, noo, it's not! That's extremely low! Always remember, the more skills you acquire, the more desirable you are and can advocate more for yourself. Like being bilingual is a skill that most people probably aren't making sure they get paid for. Operating a Fork Lift, working overnight usually gives an extra dollar. Never tell a company what you were making at another job either cause that's what they'll use to give you a pay lower to what you might have gotten for the job.

Yea management is taught to take no excuses and always push that anything is possible rather than to actually problem solve and help associates with certain issues that arise. My management at my current job is like that. They give us no resources or hours to accomplish their impossibly high standards.

I worked at the Fresh Market for three years. What happened to me was a lady that used to get mad if closed the door when she was doing inventory in the deli cooler.I accidently closed the door. When I went to try to try and apologize she pushed the door halfway open then she kicked the door it almost hit me in the face. I told the head manager and then I made a report to corporate. Nothing was done and the camera did not catch it. I got mad but I am human. There was a other guy there he takes like ten breaks.I was asked to go home and fired. I asked a question to the head manager why I'm going for asking a question but yet home dude in the meat department doesn't do shit and you never tell him your going to send him home?
