The USB server mode allowed me to easily integrate an external drive directly connected to my Node 2i. The indexing function worked seamlessly on the Apple lossless files that were stored there. I really like the ability to quickly see the bitrate of the files playing too. The Home screen was confusing at first, but this video helped me understand how it works. Thanks!

It's a solid update and it introduced one particular feature which I'm liking a lot - USB server mode. I have a large collection of music (FLAC) on a USB SSD connected to one of 3 nodes I'm running. Since the update that collection can now be accessed independently from any of the nodes. A NAS would have been overkill for me, not that that has ever stopped me from thinking about adding one, and server mode removes any need.

I upgraded, now I can't get it to work. The old program was easier the new upgrade is to complicated and I can't navigate it so I haven't listened for days.

The fix is available and has been for several days.
It seems to be absolutely fine now.
I don't use playlists so I am probably not using all the features, but everything I use seems maybe a small amount faster, although I have no way of timing it.
Oh, and when you download the latest upgrade, do remember to reboot afterwards.
Some people reckon it makes a difference. I am not sure, but I always do it on a computer and it takes very little time.

That’s why I went back to a cd player. Anything with an app is unreliable.
