About the girl, IN FACT, it was because Dolores was iconically in this same costume for the original video of the song. And indeed is basically a way to pay homage to Dolores. I live in limerick, Dolores’ hometown and on the anniversary of her death it was like a national celebration. When she passed it was like the country froze. She was from a little town in Co. Limerick, and her funeral was in Limerick City, and there was such love and grief too, bless her. I sang this song when I was a teenager with a band I was in, and she was such an inspiration. It was lovely to see your little daughter reacting with ye. Love!

Tommy Vext, the lead singer, has one of the most intense life stories I have ever heard of.
His birth mother abandoned him & his identical twin brother, Robert, at the hospital when they were born.
In 2010 Robert was high & during a home invasion at Tommy's house he tried to beat Tommy to death. Robert was convicted of attempted murder & is serving 17 years in prison.
The Bad Wolves song "Remember When" is based on the attack.
I just seen Bad Wolves here in Australia night before last. They were amazing, and when they played this song, you could feel the emotion in the whole stadium. Very very cool

This is on my list of iconic covers. Leaving out the whole issue of her dying and even the underlying issues discussed in the song, this band nailed the cover musically. They took the original and enhanced it with their own styling while remaining true to what the Cranberries intended. Dolores will be missed. Great to see how you interact with your child in a way that helps her learn how to express herself and grow as a human too. You are great parents. Excellent review.

Great reaction guys. Delores unquestionably had a hauntingly beautiful voice to listen to. The somg was about two young victims of a bombing carried out by the IRA (Irish Republican Army) in 93 I think. Fun fact: Delores was very adamant about other bands officially covering her music, especially Zombie, because it was extremely personal to her. Bad Wolves was, is and forever will be the ONLY band in the world to obtain her expressed permission to officially cover this song. I'd say she chose wisely. Bad Wolves did the song and by extension Delores great justice with their version of an iconic song.

Damn I love this cover. The punch of the instrumental and Tommy's voice always get me. Just the thought of how he and Dolores would have sounded together gives me goosebumps. And I don't even think we need to talk about the lyrics. They unfortunately fit as well today as they did 25 years ago.
This is such a great but at the same time bittersweet tribute with the tragedy that accompanies this version. And thanks to your comments and interpretations, I still consider your video to be perhaps the best reaction to it.

Correction Vin, Dolores O'Riordan died on January 15 2018 (not in 2017) to my understanding it was an accidental drowning due to sedation by alcohol intoxication presumably some prescription medication was involved but not that much.

Amazing cover of an amazing song, had me filling up when the lead singer and the Dolores lookalike touched hands, very powerful, touching the spirit of Dolores, as a Cranberrìes fan I still miss her, but will never forget her
This has been a great song since it came out so long ago. Deloris did the song about the war between the IRA and the British in Northern Ireland. Belfast and many other areas have been a war zone for over a hundred years. Bad Wolves did a great tribute to her and the rest of the cranberries. Maybe one day, the dream of freedom from British rule become a reality for Northern Ireland. This song brought awareness to the struggles almost 30 years ago.
Vin and Sori thank you for playing this. I absolutely love the Cranberries and this is my 3rd favourite song of theirs ever. Shout out to Selah. She looked so adorable in her Panthers gear 😍. Please tell her this was an excellent pick!! She has good taste. I was touched about youre compassion writing to people. You're good people for real. The woman in gold is a tribute to Dolores. Awww, your little girl is very cute and smart! I liked this one guys, she is a natural in front of the camera. I also learned some things about this song as well. I had no idea that Delores died on the day that this song was due to be filmed and that she was supposed to be singing in it. That would have been very cool to see and it breaks my heart, but cudos to Bad Wolves for taking care of her kids at their own expense, very cool.
I really hope that that precious little girl never grows up to understand the gravity of this song. Truly
I'm Irish and literally grew up with the troubles. My first daughter was born in 98 the year of the Good Friday agreement so she hasn't experienced them at all, thankfully. In fact some of my relatives are on a mini staycation in Belfast at the moment.

That is Dolores in gold. It was supposed to be a duet cover. They recorded the video before they recorded her part. Thus, it became a tribute.
The original was about the terrorism going on in Ireland back in the 80's and the cranberries are Irish.
When Vin said "you're in America and nobody shooting at you" I really wanted to make a bad joke about schools, but this video was cuteness overload and the song was priceless, so I abstained. Top form, family!
oberstul Despite what the media would have you believe mass shootings are a statistical anomaly. If you don't shoot yourself or are involved with gangs / criminal activity the odds of getting shot are super low.
