Hey guys I'm new to your channel. I'm very interested in your perspective since you seem to value educating yourself and considering multiple points of view before coming to a conclusion on a particular issue. That's unfortunately rare these days.
I have a couple of questions regarding some of the statements you made during this reaction. I'm mainly just looking for additional information so I can do some research myself. You mentioned an incident where a group of white people murdered a black man and it was covered up and the mother was told it was the result of a crime on the part of the victim; Where and when did that take place so I can look up the details of the incident. Also, the incident of the police force being infiltrated by the KKK - where and when?
Also, regarding your statement about African-American conviction rate being 20% higher; First, what time frame is that statistic reflecting? The past year? decade? century? Also, is that 20% higher conviction than all other demographics or only 20% higher conviction over white people.
Part of the reason for that last question is because of what I think may be a misunderstanding of Tom's lyrics regarding "everyone getting screwed the same" (paraphrase)
The issue here is that Tom isn't saying white people are treated just as discriminitorily as black people, but rather that so much of the focus is on the treatment of people of a certain race, that it distracts from the issue of treatment of people of a particular economic class.
In fact, if you go over the lyrics in several of his songs you'll find that Tom has in fact supported the sentiment behind the BLM movement but condemned the practices of the group itself and the way that the message has been twisted into a mockery of what was intended.
He also talks about his experiences during his time in the ghetto and the harsh conditions he and his neighbors endured. I think it's important that his lyrics be viewed through that lens when determining his intent.
His lyrics typically reflect the way that - to his point of view - those are the people that are being "equally screwed" by the "system" - the impoverished and the low income class. From that frame of reference it really does have less to do with what race you are and more to do with your economic status.
Based on the - admittedly limited - research I was able to do, the stats do seem to reflect that idea. Given that an extremely significant proportion of all convictions are the result of arrests in low income neighborhoods and the fact that the african american population in those neighborhoods is nearly double that of the white population, a disparity of only 20% is actually surprising. That is, again, depending on the time frame of your 20% conviction rate statistic as well as whether it is a 20% higher than whites, or 20% higher over all conviction rate.
What are your thoughts on this?

That's not a Ben Shapiro line, its a line that has been used by conservatives WAY before Ben Shapiro was ever a thing.
In my opinion, it's an incredibly pithy line, because while it might be true in the abstract, it certainly isn't true in practice, *especially* because in a time of "alternative facts" a lot of the divide is caused by people not being able to agree on what the facts of a situation are in the first place.
Take the 2020 election: some people think it's a fact that the election was stolen from Trump, while others think the evidence for such a claim is laughable and not to be taken seriously.

Nice folks, really. I just struggle with their same old lines on race. It's very one sided. I'm not trolling, my source was pretty garbage tbh, but wiki did mention his prior arrest records of violent offenses and rape, it mentioned the drugs in his system, resisting arrest and the illegal guns (plural) in his possession at the time. I only bring it up because a lot of these tragedies start looking far more complicated when we look past "racist cops killed another man" thumbs up for the video, love Tom MacDonald if for no other reason than for starting conversations.
I'm not trolling either, but in the videos I've seen of that incident, it definitely looks to me like he was trying to get into his right pocket, with a cop that's on the ground with him fighting with his right arm to keep him from getting in that pocket. Then the cop on the ground, yells gun multiple times, then backs up and the other cop shoots him. Then, the one that was fighting with him, reaches into his right pocket and pulls a gun out of it. In none of the footage did I hear any remarks about his race. Maybe there's a video that has an angle that I haven't seen though.

You said "I wish we lived in a world where this did not exist."
I would settle for everyone knowing this is how it is and just try not to be like this. This is how we can really change the world.
I really hope you guys do a Part 2 to finish the rest of the song. You went off on such a long tangent on BLM, which was no where near the most important phrase within the overall message.
Personally I think you took that BLM phrase differently than it was intended as I think he meant that the politicians now use BLM as a point of division which not only takes away from that specific issue but it also takes away from all the other world wide atrocities that happen but never get any exposure, such as the hundreds of thousands of Christians killed each year in the world due to their faith.
Yes, like any other profession, there are racists that are police but that doesn't make police racist. No different than multiple sociopaths and serial killers have been doctors but it doesn't mean doctors are serial killers.
I think it is important for you guys to finish your opinions on the entire song because I beleive the overall message in the lyrics is more important than an individual phrase or two with in the song.
I definitely appreciate your passion for your opinions and I think that is one of the points the song makes.

You can’t accept lyrics from websites as what Tom “originally” put out there. They are from regular people who listen and then post lyrics! Lol!
He didn't say the websites told him one which was the original, he made the presumption on his own that the "strung up in public" version was the first version (it is the album version). And in case you are in doubt, Tom actually does have 2 versions of the lyrics for that section.
"We're ashamed to be American, you should probably love it
'Cause you have the right to say it and not get strung up in public"
was changed to
"We're ashamed to be American, you should probably love it
'Cause you have the right to hate it and not get stoned to death in public"
If you'd like actual proof you can check the song on Spotify, it has the "strung up in public" line. Tom has been known to try to tone certain things down for UA-cam release, though predominantly that is just censoring the cussing so the video is available to a wider (i.e. younger) audience.
Knowing Tom's lyrics as well as I do (I am an Editor on Genius, I have transcribed/edited pretty much every one of Tom's songs released since 2018), and considering what I just said about Tom toning things down, I'm on board with what the guy in this video (sorry this is my first video from this couple, I assume it's Vin?) said, as he was probably quite accurate with his reasoning as to why Tom changed those lyrics for the UA-cam version.

And oddly, they weren’t even being sarcastic.

True! Very true
@Jack Slack1 some may say she exaggerated, not lie. She did say she hid in her office (which happened to be across the street from the capitol away from any protesters but lets gloss over that detail) and she did say she feared for her life ( she also said that Ted Cruz tried to kill her, when where and how? who the f knows). The real lie is that she plays like this dumb bimbo who failed up to be a senator. She knows what's she's doing and she's doing anything she can to take advantage of her female youth privilege to con her way to the top of the political ladder. As long as she keeps getting voted in to keep her seat, she is Pelosi 2.0 in the making.

Dem/Left/Lib aren't exactly known for acknowledging fault, on the contrary. Will blame Trump/Trumpism for everything in perpetuity.
Censorship. I was censored for “hate speech” on FB. My sister shared a cartoon clip of a man cooking the kitchen vs. a woman cooking in the kitchen. It was a split picture. Woman kitchen was clean. Mans version of kitchen was a disaster. My response to the cartoon: “That’s why women are smarter than men.” That’s it! FB removed my comment post as HATE SPPECH! I’m pretty sure that’s what he is referring to in the song. Way too much unnecessary censorship. Tom said in the song: is it hate speech or speech that you hate. How did you perceive that comment in a sense. I do not think Tom was referring to Donald Trump getting censored. IMO he is saying we still have free speech if you don’t like what I said MOVE ON!
Maybe he turned the lyric “Strung Up” to “stoned” because in the Middle East you can stoned for speaking against the government
Damn, y’all are clueless. Won’t be watching your stuff anymore.
Same this was so one sided, opposite of what tom stands for
I don't think you can call them clueless at all i disagreed with quite a few of their statements but you can tell from the dialogue between themselves that both are capable of changing their minds and viewpoints if presented with real evidence and that is extremely rare these days
About the Privilege part.
Idk how being a man and not a woman is privilege, There should be a different word for it but it's not a privilege to be born as what you are or as who you are.
Even men fear being attacked because the spectrum for men is huge you can be a smaller male then the average and fear being attacked but he's still a man so is he still privleged?
Also for anyone that that feels scared or not 100% safe you need to find what will make you safe not just expect what you were born with to be enough, I.E if you live in America you can buy a fire arm if you are not a convicted felon even if you are take a kick boxing class and know not to go down the dark hallway or road by yourself this is advice ill give a grown ass man, A woman and a child it doesn't matter.
And if you as a man cant be or are less likely to be assaulted why is there so many creepy uncles and aunts that rape or molest boys and girl's it's clearly not a how you look a certain way so i want you it's there are bad people who try and prey on innocent/Good people that's how it really is.
A privilege is being a woman and because you are a woman a man will protect you because you are deemed weaker then them and to a degree that not wrong but that's more accurate for that situation.
About Race
-If everything was about race and black/white the world wouldn't be as grey as it truly is and if you focus on just the race part you are holding your self back no matter what side you are on.
Also think we can all agree that Biden on top of all the crazy shit about him getting elected he picked probably the worse person on the dem's stage as his V.P like wtf lmao
About parlor
it is really unfair to ban it yet twitter gets to exist and even some spaces of Facebook as well like twitter is the home to all people that wanna say dumb shit tbh like-Antifa and Some actually Nazi type people an yet it hasn't been shut down.
About BLM
Now I don't disagree and do understand why people believe in the Black lives matter idea. But there is a organization behind and above of all of that using that idea to make money and do nothing for that community and have really insane a crazy views so I'm not sure if Tom is talking about just BLM or the organization on top of it.
Also I'm not sure if there are white people being framed and being murdered like the situation with Alton sterling but as reported there are a lot of white people who are shot by the police every year as well and its not as well documented and there seem to be less people to care so idk if there is a real comparison other then what I do know to be true is there are time what happened to Alton and that's not fair and is bullshit but in 2020 BLM became huge for "rioting" over people who did commit a crime and was killed because of there own action's and that led to a lot more people being hurt financially and physically so it seems more likely he is talking about that.
Sorry for how long it is but I think this helps further along the conversation and in no way am I mad at the reaction hope I didn't come off like that and I do like the observation and real talk that was had because of this song and I think that's what the song is suppose to do and get people to think and talk about all the stuff.
Would you agree with someone who says there is no racism in the country, and uses David Steward's success as proof? "How could a black man have a successful business and become a billionaire if we're a racist country?"
That's how I see your argument that social media censorship isn't a real problem because people can still complain about it on social media. The truth is that it is getting progressively harder to state opinions that go against the big-tech establishment's views, and get away with it. Trump being banned from twitter wasn't some shocking, out of nowhere, catastrophe of free speech. It's simply the most flagrant example of what's been going on for years.
Then what opinions get banned from fb?
I mean trump was lying through his teeth about the election being stolen. Politicians telling half truths is nithing new online but trump enflamed and empowered an angry mass on the basis of a flagrant lie, and it ended in violence. That gets you banned.
Fb allows you to discuss political opinions as far as i can see, i wonder what 'opinions' you think get banned?

You're aware at how that ended, yes?
If you can show that you've done the work, such as looking up the various successful discrimination lawsuits over the past few years, I'll be happy to dive deeper into this with you.
@@kitgautier1658 I've just used the term unfair treatment since that is what I often hear claimed regarding black folks. I consider unfair treatment something along the lines of 'you shall be treated in some way because of some arbitrary parameter.' An artificial constraint set by a societal/political entity, perhaps.
I'm not claiming to be an expert in the area; I probably haven't spent more than 100 hours on the issue. Nor would I claim that there is zero unfair treatment of black folks. I do however know the outcome of the Harvard lawsuit. Although the judge notes that the system has flaws, Harvard is allowed to use 'personal ratings' as a proxy for race... even though there are clear racial correlations. This method of racism is legal according to the district court. It is understandable if this logic is applied to the height requirement of roller coasters for example (where race and other factors come into play) but intentionally using traits as a facade for racism should be criminal. Also, over 60 Asian-American organizations filed complaints and began an investigation that I believe is still ongoing.
I would be willing to check out any successful discrimination lawsuit that you may provide but we need to first concede that court decisions are not perfect reflections of the events. Are you referring to specific cases?
You didn’t hear the part in the video where the fbi as recently as 2006 warned of white nationalists infiltrating law enforcement ?

Running a mile and not getting raped or murdered isnt on your mind. That's not an argument to make considering that men make up the largest percentage of victims of all violent crimes. A woman if more likely to be kidnapped and raped by a member of her family, or by someone she knows than a random stranger, and is still less likely to be raped than a man is to be murdered while out alone.
Commenting for your algorithm. ✌🏽

🤘🏼🤘🏽🤘🏻🤘🏿
Look at this song through the lens he meant you to.
It’s part of the line where Tom said “they’re already understaffed and under paid, call the cops and order food see what reaches you first” cops are not trained right which leads them to be fearful in the field and they freak out and just pull the trigger, it is bad but not all cops are bad.
That whole 3 minute intro vying for, pay us for doing nothing 🤣. Go to work like the rest of us
The end isn't what it seems look deeper before you say he belongs in jail. Please look closer
I'm not a big rap fan, and he's weird as H3LL, but thank you for drawing some attention to him from a different demographic anyone that has heard him I'll say just listen to his words and try a few songs, he speaking all kinds of truth
The “stoned to death in public “ line is the original line. He’s referencing how in many countries, mostly Muslim countries, if you speak out against the government and/or culture you can still be stoned to death or face some other kind of public execution, while here in America if you speak out you’re protected because of the 1st amendment.
Absolutely love your point of view and share the same values myself! Refreshing that y'all are voicing it publicly! I hit the subscribe button once y'all started breaking down the song! Keep on dropping the common sense which is not common these days unfortunately!
I agreed and disagree with a lot of what you said. As an ANCAP/libertarian I would love to speak to y'all sometime. I think it would be a good conversation.
I agree
I live in ME I also lived all over. You are getting it wrong though white privilege is not a thing there is certain aspects of life that benefit the individual. Men are more likely to be attacked and less likely to be sexually attacked as far as outside of prison. Women are more likely to get away with a crime than men. Men are more dominate at physical sports, women are better at multitasking. Men are better at logical thinking than women, women are better with understanding emotions also this does not mean everyone either. People have individual aspects that they are superior at also and other areas they are lacking is another way at looking at it. While skin tone don't mean shit to me, skin tone does have certain properties and doctors need to know as medical does come into play with genetic makeup. I would never tell someone they are privileged based on skin tone. People don't use white privilege in the context that is proper and I mean that for everyone. You as a individual can have privilege however your skin tone don't mean anything. I seen poor to wealthy of many different backgrounds to simply say one group of people is this than not taking into account white skin tone is a massive broad label that makes of hundreds of cultures.
"Stoned to death for it" Happens in other countries for speaking against their Government hence "you should probably love it"
In reference to the BLM comment, I believe he was referring to the government as a whole, not just the police...
I read comments before I watched your video. So I thought yall were going to be crazy or something. I think a lot of what you said was taken out of context by commenters. Which is kind of the point of this type of video, to show that different views are ok. We don't have to agree on everything and every line of every song. Just give eachother the rights to those views. Anyways, I appreciate your viewpoints and taking the time to go into great detail with it. Keep doing what you do. New subscriber here.
Appreciate that !
Eh almost right ... I’m probably a pro life dem
First off, Just want to say I really do love your content on this channel and by no means am I pissy or trolling. I disagree with some things you brought up. But it doesnt change the fact I still respect you guys and your content. Just would like to debate some stuff thats it.
Parlor took part in killing six people. Well if we are goin that route, then twitter and facebook are even worse. You really dont think people who do horrid things use twitter or facebook? Because I mean do I really need to bring up the fact ISIS was using twitter? And I believe its Pakistan (correct me if im wrong) blocked twitter but the leader posts anti Semitist shit all the time? What about the coordinated rapes and murders used to communicate it on the platforms? Cmon, you cant be serious. There will always be fucked up people.
Also, Isnt believing in White privilege's just basically supporting White Supremacy? You are saying white people are better just because the color of their skin? Really? Noted you did bring up every race has their own "Privilege's" which is a first I do admit. I only ever hear white people have this magical power called "white privilege's" and no such thing as "black privilege's" which is what I see people only ever arguing over
Last point, about that free speech topic you guys were talking about. Twitter doesnt ban certain ideologies that cause death, riots or whatever. I mean there is a few cases (I dont know how much there is of it because i dont want to look it up) of child porn not being removed. No im not only talking about the most recent one either. Its been a deep rooted problem in the apps life span. Also, I believe in free speech aslong as it doesnt hurt (for example Child exploitation) people or overlap their rights (Example calling out murder for a race or person which is very bad). With that said what about all the murder threats Trump got? They are all okay and not banned. Thats the part that i agree with this censorship stuff.
Once again I would like to clarify these are merely just talking points and I do appreciate your content. Keep up the good work, oh and seriously good luck on the amazon thing you guys are doing. shits kinda rough now adays so best of wishes.
You wrote a bunch of text but didn’t address the law enforcement issue. Why?
@@VinAndSori if y'all are gonna get pissy with the comments maybe don't make political content since you clearly listen to msm bullshit.
Lol. Who’s pissy? I just asked a question lol. And I pinned the comment lol so obv it’s a discussion I want to have with the homie
@@VinAndSori problem with lawenforcement issue is they are trying to blame only white cops when its clearly more then just white cops a abusing their power if u want to fix a problem you need to adress it all
@@VinAndSori no im not saying anyone is pissy. I know that its a weird topic where people get to that point or go full tilt is all so i just wanted to clear that up is all.
All people are easily manipulated today! Preach Vin!!
A small minority of racists in all races don't speak for the entirety of said races.
Tom MacDonald is the face of the real conservative movement....love it.
No he's not. Tom is Tom. Just like we should all be.
Tom would be the first to tell you, he’s not. He may lean slightly right but he’s more down the middle he calls out hypocrisy on both sides
Tom's said himself he isn't left or right. He isn't pro or anti Trump. He's had very left accepted songs like If "I was black" and right accepted songs like "fake woke". He don't care who and what you are, if you doing something toxic, he gonna call you out.
I love listening to Vin monologue. There’s a fair bit that I disagree with but you can tell he’s an educated man with well thought out opinions that he’s passionate about.
Life is NOT fair, everyone needs to understand that and move on. Work hard for what you want and fight for it!!! Nothing will be handed to you. Love you vin and sori!!!!
Life isn't fair and everyone knows that but it shouldn't be fair because of the horrid actions of other human beings dehumanizing other human because they look different!
Thank god they put interracial couple in the title...otherwise we would have never known! But, gotta label everything by race these days.
I’m here for you lil bro
So what did trump do that was so crazy???
Encourage a nation to disrespect rules in the middle of a pandemic for example, but i don't know what V&S mean
You should react to NF. I'm VERY surprised you haven't yet!
Comments are turned on for his music video for this song, the UA-cam music lyric video doesn’t have comments for some reason. You can comment on the music video if you want to. Tom does respond to comments.
Loved y’all’s Metallica reviews 🤘🏼
Always look at who is posting. Many YT posters just repost for hits. Always go to the original source
With Tom's songs there is no record label.
React to Angra - Carolina IV
Pls react to Scorned by Vital Remains... You liked this band remember you reacted to Dechristianize 😍
MAJOR PROPS for those V-Modas brotha... Straight up, V-moda really have been the best headphones for anybody that likes bass heavy music especially, yet I never see someone put a pair on in any YT Channels... Shit I STILL see more pairs of Beats.
Tom made a special video telling youtube that people can use his songs. You can link that for reference etc.
Kreator - Enemy of god
Oh for god sake, "Kerfluffle" Now it is stuck in my head......Thank you all, Appreciate you reacts, The kerfluffle word just gets stuck... Keep up the good work!

I celebrate Thanksgiving not just for my family, but the air I breathe, still being alive, and yes it does have a dark time, but that's not why really celebrate it for. Plus it happen because we are all born with free will that is how GOD made us.
When are we gonna get that Tom MacDonald interview? 😉😉
Hey Vin and Sori, I once asked my teacher back in high school, "If someone attacks a government building because they feel their government is corrupt and needs to be abolished, are they a terrorist or a freedom fighter?" He said it was an age old debate and each event has many circumstances. So I wanted to know your thoughts since it relates to the Capital Riot. Thanks!
Terrorists for sure. They were sore Bc they lost an election. But Bc they were impressed
@@VinAndSori almost everyone arrested was a registered democrat or socialist linked to blm and ANTIFA. You should go down the rabbit hole more.
@@AClark-jx9zp you have links to that not from qanon or some other dubious source? Im not insinuating you don't but i heard this too and never seen proof.
@@VinAndSori 😂😂😂😂
@@VinAndSori Terrorism would insinuate a need for destruction. Rebellion is a need for reform. I will take 100 men banging on doors of the Capital building asking for their voices to be heard long before I follow a crowd of people chanting the name of a known sexual offender while burning down buildings in the name of change.
I've been saying it for years. Why do you want to be accepted by people who hate your guts?
I'm a metal head that loves Tom MacDonald!!!
On another note:
You may like the Waggaki Band. They are a Japanese band that takes traditional instruments and plays modern instruments along side them, it kinda has this 80s hair band feel but it can also take you back to a simpler time. No you can't understand them but it's beautiful anyway lol
I like this guy he speaks alota of truths in his music doesnt matter white are black we are all people
