This song is so heartbreaking in its original form and they've retained all of that in their rendition of it and added another layer of heartbreak of Dolores untimely and tragic passing. A magical moment in music.
She may not admit it, but the more she listens to this kind of music the more she's going to like it. Keep do your your thing and reminding the youth what good music is
@@GlitchintheMatrixMultiMedia I was listening to rap/hiphop at 13. Now I almost only listen to metalcore. Started with limp bizkit then linking park and just down the rabbit hole. And dad took me to a rush consert.
I love how the put her character from the original version. She’s there in spirit . The glass I think represents that separation of spirit and physical. You can picture her and feel her in the song, but you can’t physically touch her.
they either used some very intelligent CGI to place them in the same shot, or they recorded the video before the vocals, and that's doloris and bad wolves in a new video. I think it might be the former, because when she writes out the date, the shot changes so you can't see that it's her. Unfortunetely Vext quit or was fired from the band last year(the lead singer) kinda sad.
@Angel god Dolores was going to take part in this remake, but she died before she could, so they released it anyway in honor of her. I think they did a damn fine job and I am glad they did it.
"Zombie" is a protest song by Irish rock band The Cranberries, written about the 1993 IRA bombing in Warrington, and in memory of two young victims, Johnathan Ball and Tim Parry. It was released in September 1994 as the lead single from their second studio album, No Need to Argue (1994).
The two boys went to get Mothers Day cards for their mums and were killed from what I've read in comments. Apparently the footage of the soldiers and children in the street is real footage they took too.
Dude, you are the parent that all children should have.....It's clear you're a fun dad and your kids completely respect how in touch with them you are. It's really fun to watch this process that you include them in.
What a shining, precious little diamond!😍💞Could tell midways that she got very emotional/touched by this cover, and the music video itself! And seeing that, actually made me emotional too. I know she was thinking over the story, what Bad Wolves did for her remaining family, and the strong performance all together, made it strongly emotional. She defintly got it in her! I saw her headbanging, then she sort of stopped herself, got too self aware hahaha. Love it! Some day you`ll see her just burst out in a gigantic windmill, beating you in the reactions😂
Thanks for those notes, yes, this one reeeeaaaaallly resonated with her, hopefully more to come like this one soon. She is starting to open up some I can tell.

I also love How close you and your daughter are, unfortunatly most teens want to distance themselves from their uncool parents .... This is great that you two do this together!
Lyrically, the most noticeable difference is, They say "It's the same old theme in 2018", the Cranberries say "Since 1916". 1916 was the Easter Rising here in Ireland, probably the most important year in Irish history. I like both versions equally
@@swirvinbirds1971 Actually, the original said something like "and their bombs, and their bombs, and their guns" (they used bombs twice), but this changes it to "and their bombs, and their guns, and their drones".
Pretty sure it was to signify both sides of the war "there tanks and their bombs" were the British army while "And their bombs and their guns" were the IRA...I think but almost sure 😅
Besides the slight lyrical differences that update it is also touching how they have the golden woman on the other side of the glass that represented Dolores from the original and then she wrote 1/15/18 with her finger before completely covering the glass
@@jasonjtd79dunne88 I had to pause the video at that point. The song is already emotionally charged, but seeing her death date just broke me down more than the song usually does.
I've never thought of this, but somehow not having "Dolores" singing, having her as the reminder and seemingly "covering up" the past, feels more powerful than had Dolores had a singing role. Her singing would've been amazing, but this just hit in a way that makes you remember just how little has changed and WHY so little has changed. We keep the same "theme" because we paint over the past.
Wow! I enjoyed that as much as y'all did. It's great to see a father and daughter share a wonderful experience together. Love this version and thanks for turning me on to Bad Wolves.
That's an excellent cover of a stunning song, the video is so powerful and emotional, the part when the lead singer and the Dolores lookalike touched hands, moved me, it's has if he's reaching out to touch her spirit, also when she writes 1-15-18, that's emotional, it's the date Dolores left us, miss Dolores, but she leaves us with a wonderful legacy through her music
Yes, this song gives me the chills everytime. I love it, and this time so did my daughter, she went and added it to her playlist shortly after we made the video in fact.
I think it's the 'in your head part' I hear multiple voices that just makes it sound so full and IN ONES HEAD, love it l, love thissss, a winner, she bobbed her head.

I've been to many concerts, but never have I felt that much emotion coming from the band and the audience at the same time. From an American highschool kid keeping their mouth shut about their peers bullying somebody else, to a kid who finds themselves running drugs around town, to a kid getting sucked into a terrorist group - the song hold up a mirror and asks why? This version sounds heavier with the instruments but the fact he puts his own style and emotion into the singing just makes the song that much more awesome!
They actually found her dead the morning she was suppose to record with bad wolves. Also bad wolves got permission from her family to release the song. They were seriously considering never releasing it

I wish you all the best with you and yours. This is an amazing song and I’m glad that you could connect with it.
Pearl Jam - Black
Nice suggestions, I actually do plan to do this one with my son. Should be soon.
Or some stone temple pilots plush or interstate love song
Ok this is only the second video I’ve seen.. idk why but if I have kids I could see me doing this exact thing (even if not recorded) with them. You can never hear your favorite songs for the first time again, but you can get joy from seeing the reaction of a loved ones first time reaction.. awesome stuff
It is difficult to hear this song without Dolores Voice.
I do hear Dolores' voice. I know it's not there, but I hear it.
This song hits me soooo hard when he sings drones. Such a huge step in warfare that has so much controversy. I have a lot of experience with them from the USAF and it still gives me chills when I hear it.
OMG, really? 13 actually liked something? Her head moved 10 or 11 millimeters!
Haaaaa, ya, that's about right.
I just binge watched all your music react videos in the past one hour haha. It's really wholesome and loved some of the reactions. Thanks and keep going :)
You should react to one of Leo's Frog Leap Studios metal covers of a song she loves or knows that he has covered.
I do know about Frog Leap Studios, not a bad idea at all, thanks for the suggestion.
I saw them perform this song live in Birmingham Alabama in 2018 in may and it was amazing.
haha i was surprised when she said she was bobbing her head
Lol, I know, best one yet with her for certain.
You two brought this song back, great reaction crew🤟😎
It's a really good cover, but I do still prefer the original.
Ya, too bad they didn't get to collaborate, that is the version that would have most likely been the best of all, at least in my head it would be. Thanks for watching.
Janet Devlin zombie cover try listening to this see what you think
I agree!
Imo it's just a 13-a-dozen rock cover. Nowhere near the original.
Me too
with such emotive songs like this, and considering how powerful the originals were, I don't think anyone could ever do them better... yes.. you can play them again to a different/younger audience, and they will be still be great, but the original will always be, and it will always be far far far better
This version sounds heavier with the instruments but the fact he puts his own style and emotion into the singing just makes the song that much more awesome!
Wish all the fathers in this 🌎 so 😎 and 💕 their children like this. hats off sir and God bless u and ur family members!!
They actually found her dead the morning she was suppose to record with bad wolves. Also bad wolves got permission from her family to release the song. They were seriously considering never releasing it
I didn't know it was that close to the recording, thanks for that info, and thanks to them for releasing it, just a wonderful tribute.
@@GlitchintheMatrixMultiMedia No problem. If you search Bad Wolves Zombie acoustic, he tells the story of that day
I love that you are making these videos. I have been learning a lot from you. Some things I may have known at one time and forgotten . Then again some things are totally new . And remember no matter what happens in you tomorrows, your children will have loving happy yesterdays to look back at and share.
nirvana - lithium
Good suggestion, more Nirvana coming soon.
The heavy music gives the song a bigger impact on my emotions. the original is one of the best songs ever, and her vocals can never be replaced, but the music of this version just makes it so powerfull!
React to "remeber when" by Bad Wolves!
Another really good one, I do plan to do more Bad Wolves soon.
I'm glad Bad Wolves are still reminding the zombies that people are still dying. Delores would be pleased.
Great reaction video folks... you got me sub'd when I saw you do Frog Leap's cover of Africa.
Your daughter is not a complete loss, I was worried
Lol
Awesome vid by you folks. You seem like a wonderful dad to your children. Tip of the cap to you all!
From now on you might need to change your name into *The Icebreaker* because what we see here is good parenting. You have now spotted the light in the end of the tunnel.
Send my love from Stockholm to your daughter. We are all proud of her, but leave her friends out of this. She is best fit to decide that battle *if* and *when* that's called for.
Lol, thanks for the comment, much appreciated!
Wow that a mind blower that song was awesome immediately liked the song on Spotify great tribute to Deloris
You should have your daughter listen to evenescence my immortal
i love both bands and that is soo cool of them! I've love Bad wolves since day 1 & this is still my fave song by them & the cranberries it's such a shame we couldn't see her with them for real! but knowing she's in sprit bc the song is good to
You gotta react to dragonforce through the fire and the flames. Love your reactions keep them up!
Saw him live on Graspop in june, Belgium, he went in tears on stage singing this song
Introduce her to Tool, the rest will be history
Simply awesome version, powerful and so much emotion.
