  • In this video I modify the muffler on the motorized bike to make it flow better and still be fairly quiet at the same time. Cutting the pipe does make it flow a little bit better and isn't that much louder, I do not claim to be the first to have done this but I am just doing it to show y'all if you didn't know.

    Bro... For the air filter get a plastic scouring pad used for doing dishes and tie wrap it on the inlet. Works well and you wont get sand in the engine.

    Definitely tell a difference I would leave the cap on seemed to be equal on power and not being to loud

  • @dogsandwich77

    A two stroke needs an expansion chamber to make any sort of low end power. That tube is just a spark arrestor, that can restrict it somewhat. But that bottom cap is what makes that basically the expansion chamber/silencer. Bigger the chamber, more top end. The ONLY engines that need any kind of back pressure in the exhaust is a two stoke. That scavenging effect is how the exhaust gets out of the cylinder since there no real "valves." Also why that exhaust pipe is a handy place for nitro trucks to get fuel pressure from, cause essentially those are 2 stroke diesels.
    Any changes to the exhaust, you should probably tweek the carb to match. Do a spark chop and see what color it gets.
    Not saying anything you did here was stupid or nothing, you can change 2 stroke exhaust infinitely to suit where you yourself want the power band at.
    How big is that engine btw? Like a 49cc?

      @IngenTechNational  Рік тому +1

      It is a 66cc, and yeah I understand what you are saying about the expansion chamber but as I said in the video I need it kind of quiet lol. I am ordering a High Performance CDI, Jets, and new plugs so get it to run a bit better! The spark looked a bit week so after 3 years of abuse I think it is time to upgrade lmao!

      @@IngenTechNational 66cc? That's badass! I got a scooter with a 35cc two stroke, like a Go-Ped, just not a Go-Ped. Blade-Z by Moby, IIRC. It's ancient, but still rips with nothing more done to it than a better air filter, a different exhaust, and some fine tuning. Same with my 250R 3 wheeler. Basically stock besides an FMF pipe and silencer, and a re-jetting, night and day difference between now vs. stock.
      Took me a long time to understand the difference between "running rich" and "too oil" in the fuel.
      Too much oil = less gas = running lean. Gas helps cool the head, so it will actually run hotter with more oil. The air/fuel ratio is way more important than the gas/oil ratio. If the plug comes out looking black, check the carb tuning. A lot of those little carbs have seemingly hidden adjustment screws that sometimes require special, tiny, weird ass shaped tools to adjust.
      Idk why I'm blabbing on about this shit when no one asked lol

    Works even better if you grind off the weld on that outlet pipe and remove it entirely, then widen the hole to about a half inch, It's a bit louder but not insane like no cap at all.

    • @IngenTechNational

      Could be tire rods binding up since the geometry has changed and the gear might need to be pushed over to the drive gear a bit more. I know it is hard to read and explain in the comments but if I was there I could tell ya lol!

      If you like going wide open throttle for long periods of time. This head will dissipate heat very quickly because wide open throttle is a lot of heat and so your motor wont over heat.

      The term 4 stroking in a 2 stroke engine is that when a 2 stroke runs rich it misfires on every other stroke causing it to actually fire every 4 strokes instead of 2 even though it is a 2 stroke engine, bit like a hit & miss engine.
