  • This is the 100th video I have filmed so enjoy! This video is going to be upgrading the entire ignition system on the bike with a performance magneto, coil, B7HS spark plug, and advancing the ignition timing. I did get a jet kit but at the end of the day it ran the best the the stock #70. It was only under $10 so what the heck you know.

    This is the 100th video I have filmed, only thing used is a iPhone 8 @4k 60fps. iMovie to edit the videos and just upload the thumbnail(also taken from the phone) and video to UA-cam. It got me 1.85K subscribers at the time this video was uploaded! So that proves you don't need expensive cameras, editing software, and equipment to make videos. Yes later I will upgrade but let me know your thoughts on it, and on the bike as well.

    Great editing on the video my friend! And Don't change what works! If You want to go faster you might try to do some Intake and exhaust Porting before missing with your timing. An expansion Chamber Exhaust will pick up a little speed and power but it will be loud. And if you try to make it quite it will kill All Your speed and performance. IMHO. Keep playing with it and most importantly have a lot of FUN doing it! And stay safe out there!👍

      Thank you man! Yes I need to keep it quiet mainly but I did do some porting and "polishing" before and it has helped, it seems to be doing good the way it is so far lol!

    B7hs hits my piston on my stock 80 its a newer engine i ordered this year. Mist of changed the head design a bit but it bent the electrode in. B7hs has 1 or 2 more threads than a z8c or z4c so be careful that it will not hit guys it could cause some serious issues ✌️

    Nice nice. I like it. Keep us updated on the reliability! Awesome when guys get long term results on these bad boys.

    When you put in the 68 jet you mentioned you also moved your needle all the way down. Did you try different needle positions with the 68 other than fully down? Also, did you try different needle positions and different jets when you advanced the timing or when you retarded the timing? I know it's time consuming fine tuning these engines but I'm just curious if you did those things. Nice build by the way.

      I did adjust the needle with the different jets off camera and it didn't really feel like the power was there, the 70 and needle one up from the bottom seems to do the best. Advancing the timing did help all around on this engine. I live in the Southeast so the air is probably a lot more dense than up North in the mountains.

    Pw80 CDI box and cr80 coil will get you the spark curve your looking for...
    The big difference in 2 and 4 stroke is the 2 likes the timing retardation as the rpm increase... Only 4 stroke like advance timing as the rpms climb...
    Nothing likes a fixed timing and That's where the program of the pw80 CDI works the cr80 coil gets you the spark to use a larger gap in the plug .028-
    .030... .035 is something for automotive gap with stronger ignition system

      @@IngenTechNational you can file down the key a mm 1.5 and fine tune to your specific motor you can go up a heat range in the plug from a ngk B6-7 or 8 HS if it's really hot running if it becomes hard to start or warm up right go back to the hotter plug... Jetting and adjust the carb... It's a lot of little things to get it dialed in for your use for it

      This is very interesting to me would you please tell me how you would wire that up I'd like to try it

    • @jasonburque
      @jasonburque 9 місяців тому

      @@Bobs-yer-uncle it's got 2 wires I'm assuming the black is ground and the other one is for the hot wire... The Suzuki has a curve to it... Adjusting the key way helps the stock setup some but there flat curve so all your doing is retarding the timing
      Something to mess around with you can use a star washer with a bent tab to adjust the magnet that's easier than the shaved key
      Not all the keys are consistent either motor to motor and you want to hold the magnet as you tighten it because it's going to want to turn twords the advance
      Timing is the one thing that is opposite between 2 and 4 stroke engines 2t want it to retard as the RPM climbs and the 4t advance.

    Get the mz clone with the typical ebay silencer. Works well

    The flathead briggs on one of my mini bikes has a billet flywheel with 30° advanced timing. It also came with a new key that has an offset for 8 more degrees of advance. Looks similar to what you did there with the file. I didn't use it tho, little too much. Never thought about trying to advance the timing on a smaller 2 stroke, I might have to go werck my scooter today! Lol
    You said your needle was all the way at the bottom? Like at the lowest clip it could be on? Cause that can make the low end sluggish. Pilot jet does the idle, needle jet is just above idle to mid throttle, main jet does WOT. But if it runs, it runs. I definitely dont take you for some dumbass.

    • @IngenTechNational
      @IngenTechNational  Рік тому +1

      Dang lol, and yeah I meant the clip is all the way at the top so the needle sits the deepest. It still 4 strokes kind of at 1/2 throttle but only when it is not under a load. Where exactly is the pilot jet on these NTs?

    • @andrewgonzalez4230
      @andrewgonzalez4230 11 місяців тому +1

      @@IngenTechNational These carbs just have the main jet, only 1. The idle screw moves the slide (no pilot jet) up or down to control the idle.

      @@andrewgonzalez4230 Yeah I know lol, I was talking about the mid range needle that is on the slide. I moved the clip to the top to make it go in deeper to make it a bit leaner.
