I don't think the rex would go for the humans when the smell of a deer corpse is much stronger and attractive to the theropod. Nevertheless, they do ignore that feat very often.

If you really think about it, when she said "you put two apex predators in one valley, pretty soon there's only gonna one," we do actually see this with some apex predators of today. For example: 1. African Lions and Spotted Hyenas. 2. Bengal Tigers and Sloth Bears. And... 3. Gray Wolves, Cougars, American Black Bears and Brown Bears.
1. African Lions and hyenas is a pretty even match up. But usually the lions have the upper hand. 2. Sloth bears are in tigers diet, ik that they're known to be able to scare of tigers but that doesn't change the fact that they usually get merked. 3.Brown bears are clearly on top of the food chain, they only get challenged by wolf packs.

I am stating now from an unbiased standpoint. The Giganotosaurus may have been ever so slightly bigger than the T-Rex, but the bite force was not even close. T-Rex had a far and I mean FAR stronger bite force. The exact same way that as much as I love the Spinosaurus, it would have never been able to take out Tyrannosaurus in JP III. What helps in understanding this dynamic in the films and what some people seem to forget is that these dinosaurs were never a 1:1 creation of their ancient counterparts. They were “genetically engineered theme-park monsters”. That’s probably how the Spinosaurus and Giganotosaurus had a strong bite force in the films, being mixed with T-Rex DNA, and also why the Spinosaurus had large legs like the T-Rex as well. Still, these dinosaurs are very interesting and intriguing to see!
To be fair, it’s not like a T-Rex knows that its bite force is the strongest, so size would actually be a more important factor when it comes to intimidating another predator and not a fight to the death

It's not only the strength of bite, but how it bites. T-rex bite was specifically designed to break through bone, because most of its prey was armored. Giga bite, on the other hand, was absolutely devastating against prey with large amounts of flesh, because it was designed to tear and rend large amounts of flesh quickly in a single bite

What's up with the shitty T-Rex treatment? One bite from T-Rex and game over.. it has been proven time and time again that the T-Rex bite woukd crush bone and flesh with Ease. There is no other animal that was as strong as the T-Rex in bite force. In JP 3 the T-rex bit the spinosaurus neck, that would have been game over right there.. on top of that, the T-Rex was far more intelligent than other dinosaurs. It's exactly why it was king and why it lasted so long as an apex predator. There was nothing that could beat it.
All Jurassic park try to do is constantly undermine the T rex. The T Rex is the most formidable known predator to exist. It may not be quite the biggest, but it’s one of the strongest, and has the highest bite force, best intelligence and front facing eyes which is a massive advantage. They’re always doing T rex dirty. Fun Fact: (note they dont live in the same time period but this is if they did and fought) The giganotosaurus and rexy over here would have a fair fight if it had been in the real world on firm ground but they wouldnt really fight, the only reason i see them fighting is for a dead herd/free food for days or territory, but it all depends who gets the first critical bite, not like a small rip of skin, like in the flesh. Then, they would have to survive the rest of the fight and let the other bleed to death or get some more bites in and eventually kill the other.

I am stating now from an unbiased standpoint. The Giganotosaurus may have been ever so slightly bigger than the T-Rex, but the bite force was not even close. T-Rex had a far and I mean FAR stronger bite force. The exact same way that as much as I love the Spinosaurus, it would have never been able to take out Tyrannosaurus in JP III. What helps in understanding this dynamic in the films and what some people seem to forget is that these dinosaurs were never a 1:1 creation of their ancient counterparts. They were “genetically engineered theme-park monsters”. That’s probably how the Spinosaurus and Giganotosaurus had a strong bite force in the films, being mixed with T-Rex DNA, and also why the Spinosaurus had large legs like the T-Rex as well. Still, these dinosaurs are very interesting and intriguing to see!
To be fair, it’s not like a T-Rex knows that its bite force is the strongest, so size would actually be a more important factor when it comes to intimidating another predator and not a fight to the death

It's not only the strength of bite, but how it bites. T-rex bite was specifically designed to break through bone, because most of its prey was armored. Giga bite, on the other hand, was absolutely devastating against prey with large amounts of flesh, because it was designed to tear and rend large amounts of flesh quickly in a single bite
@plagueamon9331 actually it did. T-Rex was also one of the most intelligent dinosaurs. It is why it was the Apex predator for so long. It knew it's strengths and weakness. One bite and game over.. sure it's arms alone where capable of lifting half a tonne with ease.
T-Rex was WAY more intelligent than the Giga... Not to mention bite force, sheer muscle mass, teeth capable of crushing flesh and bones altogether...
It wouldn't even be a fair battle.

What's up with the shitty T-Rex treatment? One bite from T-Rex and game over.. it has been proven time and time again that the T-Rex bite woukd crush bone and flesh with Ease. There is no other animal that was as strong as the T-Rex in bite force. In JP 3 the T-rex bit the spinosaurus neck, that would have been game over right there.. on top of that, the T-Rex was far more intelligent than other dinosaurs. It's exactly why it was king and why it lasted so long as an apex predator. There was nothing that could beat it.

All Jurassic park try to do is constantly undermine the T rex. The T Rex is the most formidable known predator to exist. It may not be quite the biggest, but it’s one of the strongest, and has the highest bite force, best intelligence and front facing eyes which is a massive advantage. They’re always doing T rex dirty. The moment it gets its mouth around another predator, it’s game over.
Honestly design wise it would’ve made a lot more sense if the Giga was actually a Saurophaganax and it would explain why Owen would mistaken it for an Allosaurus since in real life they do kinda look a like

I get Gigas are awesome but this wouldn't be a close fight if it ever happened because Gigas bite was designed for slashing and ripping. Giga's 6,000 vs. Trex's 35,000 newton bite force means a Trex could literally crush a Gigas skull with one bite and Giga just couldn't

Fun Fact: (note they dont live in the same time period but this is if they did and fought) The giganotosaurus and rexy over here would have a fair fight if it had been in the real world on firm ground but they wouldnt really fight, the only reason i see them fighting is for a dead herd/free food for days or territory, but it all depends who gets the first critical bite, not like a small rip of skin, like in the flesh. Then, they would have to survive the rest of the fight and let the other bleed to death or get some more bites in and eventually kill the other.

gigantosaurus fights like spinosaurus against trex, they shoulder bash trex bite then counter bite which usually ends the fight. Only the trex vs indominus fight showed properly what trex jaws do, Trex was throwing the indominus around like a ragdoll until indominus started scratching and biting haha

There's no need for these "biggest" titles, when in reality the T.rex was the heaviest theropod dinosaur. There's also evidence that Sue and Scotty may have not been the largest specimens of _Tyrannosaurus rex_
They got the atmosphere right and a real animalistic behaviour here. If only they had kept this, or go full opposition this Nature versus labs à la Resident Evil.
