The Indominus Rex earned its death. Giganotosaurus did not deserve this. That’s why Jurassic World’s fight works and this one doesn’t. Heck a little Lystrosaurus got more kills than the “big bad giga”.

They should’ve just had the Spinosaurus instead of Giga outright. In nature, every wound, no matter how small and insignificant, could lead to a lethal Infection, which is why most predators don't go farther than a shouting match. Infact, we ALREADY seen that earlier in the movie. Rexy had a deer, the Giga wanted it, they had a shouting match and the Giga bit Rexys nose and forced her to back off. It was short, and to the point, similar to JP3s Spino Vs Bull Rex fight, in which both are more realistic Nature wise. Neither wanted to risk getting any bad wounds, so they did what needed to be done. The ending fight both kinda makes sense and doesn't at the same time. Yes, the two were in close proximity and already nervous and Jumpy from the fact that EVERYTHING WAS ON FIRE, but both the Giga and Rexy more then likely would've backed off or just did another shouting match. And besides, it makes zero sense that Rexy would still be alive. It's really cool to see my two favorite Dinosaurs, Giganotosaurus and Therizinosaurus, duke it out in a high-budget film; but fr Giga needs a second chance cause this showing made a realistically behaved predator that looked like, and was killed like, it was a monster.
I think the director and script writer not creative enough to make good scenario of Dinosaurs fighting. This scene looks too short and too simple for it. But i still like it ❤

The Extended Edition's fight scene is way better. Because Rexy has recollected of her ancestor's death through genetic memory. The theatrical version doesn't have.

Alright, filmmakers, be it for any monster film or the next installment- here is what to do to avoid the mistakes this one scene makes- 1) Have actual stakes- don’t just have your dinos show up at the last minute and fight for no reason. The only reason there is any kind of suspense is that the humans happen to be caught in the middle and want to escape. The Rex and Giga fight just because to settle some territorial dispute, and for no other reason. 2) please, please, please keep focus on the dinosaurs during the fight. The night time scene and flashing lights do a poor job of illuminating the fight and the camera work is almost too disorienting for audiences to know what to focus on. First time watchers legit cannot tell because of what is going on. Have more light to offset the darkness, or use a storm. Night time fight scenes need to have a light good enough for us to see what’s going on, like Helm’s Deep. 3) Don’t just have one other animal show up for no other reason. The only reason the therizinosaurus was included was clearly for toy sales and for its Chekhov’s claws for the giga to get impaled on. 4) give us a reason to root for the good animal, in this case the anti hero Rexy,, even if it is a dinosaur that would eat the human characters if given half the chance. Include it more in the film and give it a side mission of its own for us to want to support the animal and want it to win. 5) the music was also pretty lacklustre and not as intense. The scenario itself is just lacking in tension and suspense. The facility is not on fire or about to explode or get melted by a volcano- it is literally just a facility being overrun by panicking dinosaurs thanks to a bunch of burning locusts- locusts?! Seriously?! Not in a dinosaur film, bro, come on. 6) don’t just have the victory come as a cop-out. Rexy wins by a cheap sneak attack and it honestly is very anti-climactic. The giga as well was not very well established as a villain. It just shows up, chases the humans around in the world’s slowest chase scene in the history of dinosaur cinema and has no other personality or anything interesting about it save for it being another set of teeth to threaten the humans. It also didn’t kill any of the heroes, and so there is no real reason for us to hate it. Take note, filmmakers and writers. Don’t cop out on the victory move, don’t include animals for the sake of toy sales and don’t shoot it in a near poor visibility environment. Do include high stakes, reasons to root for the hero animal, and do give us reasons to be excited and terrified for the climactic fight between two behemoth movie monsters, unlike this.

Another one, which is totally my wish( not so sure how many of you wanted this too) , is where they decide to bring almost every single great fan favourite dinosaurs into a mix of battle, msorta like a battle royale with some very famous dinos in this series, such as the spino, the rex pair, minor carnivore like aloosaurus maybe? I'd say this battle was almost perfect the idea was good, but it was a bit too short but carnivore and herbivore teaming up was great to see, and it was a narrative ending for Rexy
@@MegaMr46No they weren't. Tyrannosaurs and Giganotosaurus were similar enough related but separated by a long 10 million years in evolution and changes. Changes that made Tyrannosaurus the most feared and without a doubt the most intelligent animal on Earth at that time. Maybe some mammals would say otherwise to that.
I remember when my elderly mother first saw this, she started SOBBING when Rexy "died". Then she was like a little kid, pumping her air in the first when Rexy got back up.
The Extended Edition of the battle is much better, cause it showed the ancestor of Rexy in a flash, right before she got up again to finish the battle against the Giga. It makes the ancient rivalry have meaning. At least to me.
happy you love it cause i wish i could. but theres way too many problems that make it the worst of the franchaise for me: 1. giga was not a threat and did not deserve the end it got 2. locusts carried the plot 3. you can kick every dino out of this story and nothing changes 4. the characters dont seem likeable (for me at least) 5. human cloning which in my opinion is not interesting 6. pacing was awful 7. little to no focus on dinosaurs and humans co-existing 8. final battle just didnt work and was like a low-budget jw final battle 9. no stakes with the human characters and everyone turned out a-ok like i said, im happy you enjoyed this movie and im not saying this movie has any redeeming qualities (malta scene is amazing and visual scenes), but for me and many others, this just isnt our cup of tea for a finale.

The worst of all was Jurassic Park 3, many of you like it, because of the nostalgia, but it wasn't that great. The Spinosaurus vs T-Rex scene, over the years, became boring, the scene happens very quickly, it should have been much bigger, and would have had Animatronics, and in the end, it was a quick, boring scene.
My headcanon is that biosyn was still new and learning how to bring back species like Ingen but didn’t master it yet so that’s why so many have design or behavior problems such as Pyro being semi aquatic, Quetzals size and aggression, Theri being blind, Gigas looks (I know we see it in the past in the prologue but eh) Moros size aswell, etc.
How was there barely any dinosaurs in the area, when they were all clearly headed inside the building It would’ve been even more tense seeing groups of panicking dinosaurs trying to avoid the fight
Seeing as we saw a Parasaurolophus, Iguanadon, and Dreadnaughtus herding somewhere at the start it’s safe to assume that there’s an area designated for the dinosaurs to “hide” in, the giga, Rex, and theri were just stragglers.

Dominion was awesome! "This isn't about us" was top stuff. The fight was shmick. I loved the beat of Wu breaking his arm during the chaos. Great sequence.
My favorite part was when the Giga got up after getting stabbed and said “It’s jokerin’ time!” before he jokered all over Rexy and the Theri, then proceeded to look at the audience and said “This is truly a Jurassic World Dominon”. Truly the film of all time and deserved to make $1 Jurassillon at the box office
God I love this fight, as well as the entire movie. Sure is epic, and idc what ppl say, this is one of the best elements of the movie, along with the plots, the locusts, and everything. A perfect 10/10 movie of 2023

If there's gonna be another JW movie (hopefully not), they should make their version of Scotty or Cope as those 2 T-Rexes are currently the most massive theropods discovered. Dwarfing both Giga and Spino in estimated mass. Not length, though!
Cope isn't proven to be "bigger" nor is it a reliable specimen. As for Scotty, it might well be similar in size to Sue, or perhaps smaller if the torso length some paleo experts got from scaling laterals of its mounts is correct. It’s femora, hips, etc. are bigger sure, but a shorter trunk would do a lot to offset it.

2: 30 The homage to the Jurassic Park logo is probably the best thing about this scene.
To the JW makers: We get it. Rexy sucks. Just stop making her lose fights, for God's sake.
Right cause her opponents are always stronger than her and needs assistance from other dinosaurs.
Alright, filmmakers, be it for any monster film or the next installment- here is what to do to avoid the mistakes this one scene makes-
1) Have actual stakes- don’t just have your dinos show up at the last minute and fight for no reason. The only reason there is any kind of suspense is that the humans happen to be caught in the middle and want to escape. The Rex and Giga fight just because to settle some territorial dispute, and for no other reason.
2) please, please, please keep focus on the dinosaurs during the fight. The night time scene and flashing lights do a poor job of illuminating the fight and the camera work is almost too disorienting for audiences to know what to focus on. First time watchers legit cannot tell because of what is going on. Have more light to offset the darkness, or use a storm. Night time fight scenes need to have a light good enough for us to see what’s going on, like Helm’s Deep.
3) Don’t just have one other animal show up for no other reason. The only reason the therizinosaurus was included was clearly for toy sales and for its Chekhov’s claws for the giga to get impaled on.
4) give us a reason to root for the good animal, in this case the anti hero Rexy,, even if it is a dinosaur that would eat the human characters if given half the chance. Include it more in the film and give it a side mission of its own for us to want to support the animal and want it to win.
5) the music was also pretty lacklustre and not as intense. The scenario itself is just lacking in tension and suspense. The facility is not on fire or about to explode or get melted by a volcano- it is literally just a facility being overrun by panicking dinosaurs thanks to a bunch of burning locusts- locusts?! Seriously?! Not in a dinosaur film, bro, come on.
6) don’t just have the victory come as a cop-out. Rexy wins by a cheap sneak attack and it honestly is very anti-climactic. The giga as well was not very well established as a villain. It just shows up, chases the humans around in the world’s slowest chase scene in the history of dinosaur cinema and has no other personality or anything interesting about it save for it being another set of teeth to threaten the humans. It also didn’t kill any of the heroes, and so there is no real reason for us to hate it.
Take note, filmmakers and writers. Don’t cop out on the victory move, don’t include animals for the sake of toy sales and don’t shoot it in a near poor visibility environment. Do include high stakes, reasons to root for the hero animal, and do give us reasons to be excited and terrified for the climactic fight between two behemoth movie monsters, unlike this.

Here are some of my thoughts about the movie that would have made the whole seen memorable, thrilling, exotic and just purely awesome
-Either they should have went with their original plan of putting in the ' prehistoric event' video into the part where the trex was unconcious.We could clearly tell as before the later edits after the movie was released, everyone would have noticed that small tufs of hair on rexy's skull, indicating their going back to the past, back in cretaceous period where the fight between rexy and the giga happened.If they had pput this, it would have given some meaning to the fight.And when i mean SOME, i literally mean by the part they decided to kill the giga would have made a little bit more sense.
Another one, which is totally my wish( not so sure how many of you wanted this too) , is where they decide to bring almost every single great fan favourite dinosaurs into a mix of battle, msorta like a battle royale with some very famous dinos in this series, such as the spino, the rex pair, minor carnivore like aloosaurus maybe? It would have been a total blast where thery spend 15 minutes into just his fight.I mean, it seems childish to some of you, but come on!.You dont pay to watch JURASSIC WORLD for human interactions to be the most of the screentime.

The Extended Edition of the battle is much better, cause it showed the ancestor of Rexy in a flash, right before she got up again to finish the battle against the Giga. It makes the ancient rivalry have meaning. At least to me.

happy you love it cause i wish i could. but theres way too many problems that make it the worst of the franchaise for me:
1. giga was not a threat and did not deserve the end it got
2. locusts carried the plot
3. you can kick every dino out of this story and nothing changes
4. the characters dont seem likeable (for me at least)
5. human cloning which in my opinion is not interesting
6. pacing was awful
7. little to no focus on dinosaurs and humans co-existing
8. final battle just didnt work and was like a low-budget jw final battle
9. no stakes with the human characters and everyone turned out a-ok
like i said, im happy you enjoyed this movie and im not saying this movie has any redeeming qualities (malta scene is amazing and visual scenes), but for me and many others, this just isnt our cup of tea for a finale.

The worst of all was Jurassic Park 3, many of you like it, because of the nostalgia, but it wasn't that great.
The Spinosaurus vs T-Rex scene, over the years, became boring, the scene happens very quickly, it should have been much bigger, and would have had Animatronics, and in the end, it was a quick, boring scene.

My headcanon is that biosyn was still new and learning how to bring back species like Ingen but didn’t master it yet so that’s why so many have design or behavior problems such as Pyro being semi aquatic, Quetzals size and aggression, Theri being blind, Gigas looks (I know we see it in the past in the prologue but eh)

Or that's just how the dinosaurs look and act in this universe. This is a fictional movie after all.

It would’ve been even more tense seeing groups of panicking dinosaurs trying to avoid the fight
Seeing as we saw a Parasaurolophus, Iguanadon, and Dreadnaughtus herding somewhere at the start it’s safe to assume that there’s an area designated for the dinosaurs to “hide” in, the giga, Rex, and theri were just stragglers.

if it did appear, id rather it be a background dino or smth and not interact with rexy or the giga. simply just because the spinos so aggressive as we saw in jp3 and merciless while also destroying the sorna ecosystem. if it appeared, it would not have teamed up, it just would have tried to kill both rexy and the giga, if it was successful or not

Dominion was awesome! "This isn't about us" was top stuff. The fight was shmick. I loved the beat of Wu breaking his arm during the chaos. Great sequence.
My favorite part was when the Giga got up after getting stabbed and said “It’s jokerin’ time!” before he jokered all over Rexy and the Theri, then proceeded to look at the audience and said “This is truly a Jurassic World Dominon”. Truly the film of all time and deserved to make $1 Jurassillon at the box office

If there's gonna be another JW movie (hopefully not), they should make their version of Scotty or Cope as those 2 T-Rexes are currently the most massive theropods discovered. Dwarfing both Giga and Spino in estimated mass. Not length, though!
Cope isn't proven to be "bigger" nor is it a reliable specimen. As for Scotty, it might well be similar in size to Sue, or perhaps smaller if the torso length some paleo experts got from scaling laterals of its mounts is correct. It’s femora, hips, etc. are bigger sure, but a shorter trunk would do a lot to offset it.
