Hi hope you don't mind questions from a newbie! I live in Sittingbourne and looking to buy my first boat but I'm confused by all these rules on having a licence and where you can and can't more a boat.
Hi. Theres boat yards near you in oare and Faversham Creek. Also Conyer. Worth asking them and taking a look. It is highly adviced to do an RYA dayskipper course to gain the basics. But no actual qualification is needed to skipper your own boat. A VHF licence is essential to use a radio. 3rd party insurance is required to gain a mooring too. Give me a wave if you see Red Admiral out and about!
