Used a different epoxy, but repaired 2 steering wheels. Spend much more time on finishing and painting (with 2k, as normal paint will wear too soon). Better than new in gloss black, awesome.
Gotta say not a great video guys bring back ypur old style with some.talking us through everything and take your time, this captions and time lapse stuff is rubbish
Yea all that work to blow right by the finished product, won't be buying that kit. We didn't get a close up on the repair areas equates to it probably looked less than satisfactory.
I got my dad's old mustang steering wheel repaired on the spokes sections, but the rest of the steering wheel I got wrapped with real leather and it feels so much better. The guy end up matching stitching color to the color of the car. Check him out on Instagram Locallyhatedwrapz

I’ve used this product
It works if you don’t drive your car
Maybe for a show car
What happen to the wheel after using it ? Does the paint rub off ?
The cracks will come back
Oh daaaammmmnn...
I have used fiberglass resin works just fine easier to work with 30 minutes 48 hours
I've always just used body filler. Really wide cracks I fill most of the way with JB weld first then finish with filler.
Why not just use the JB weld for the whole job ? Curious what the advantage of the body filler is ?
@@b00st_SS easier to sand
Is the jb you talking about sandable ? And is it sist when its cured ?
@@b00st_SS huge thanks for the tip 👏👏
Super great repair solution!
Is the repair area will be soft like the rest of the steering wheel ?
These appear to be molded plastic steering wheels, so they wouldn’t be soft like a padded or leather covered steering wheel.
How can I polish my old Freightliner Cab Over Steering wheel? It is Green with gold glitter just don’t know how to polish it 😭
Does this kit come in white?
What paint do you use

This isn't really a how to diy video. It's more if a commercial for the kit.
