The volume up and down change dynamically if set right. Go to settings, sounds and vibrations, volume and deselect use volume for media keys. The volume slider will now be for system volume unless you are in media, in which case it will then control the media.

Tapping the 3 dots on the onscreen slider as you use the volume button brings up all the volume sliders
      Takes half a second

I have the baseline s22 with snapdragon and absolutely love it. My only real complaint is that the battery just doesn't seem optimized. I know it's smaller, but it just seems to drain too quickly doing what should be minor things. They either should've capped the s22 basic at 60hz or put a slightly bigger battery. Because when I turn it to 60, it last an extra 2 to 3 hours.

    • @jejunamja

switching to 60 makes that much difference ?

      @ziionjsn 2 роки тому +1

@@jejunamja Yes, 120Hz does put a huge drain on the battery especially if your screen on time is always high. 5G is also plays a part in battery life. 5G will DESTROY your battery if being used 24/7.

Great review! I Love this phone, had it since preorder, here are my tips
    1. Vibration motor is weak
Heres a tip (go into vibration intensity - Enable vibration sound to give the vibration a type of sound like it vibrating. (ONLY IN NEW UPDATE)
    2. Overheating - Download Samsung Game drivers S20/N20 Adreno for snapdragon or Mali for Exynos (2200 worked with this driver even though its amd) Install Game plugins from galaxy store enable Game booster plus (better fps, thermals, watch Dame tech for proof) Add netflix and improved heating and performance. Camera comes in GOS update which released everywhere but US and Canada.
Edit: US update has arrived check your software update
    3. Battery Adaptive screen refresh rate, Adaptive Battery, Automation on, If not near 5G towers switch to LTE, lastly nearby scan off. If you use widgets or smart widgets bring a charge you're a heavy user theres no way around that until samsung optimizes it. (Better to have features and not a big battery than a big battery without smart widgets) People prefer smart widgets over iPhone widgets for a reason. (If you want best battery you can get consider turning off Personlized ads from google, location, and usage diagnostics).
    4. No LED light
either use Edge lighting, enable screen off, put custom colors, set duration OR install Aodnotify keep always on display and you will have a light circle around camera giving the illusion of an LED light. (Might have to change power saving mode to allow Always on Display).
    5. Screen protector/Tempered glass fingerprint not working
If you use gestures click options, increase pressure sensitivity, enable touch sensitivity. Remove fingerprints and use two slots for one thumb different angles and different pressures. (I use S22 I use Ez Dome glass by whitestone and it works well).
    6. OneUi 4.0-4.1 have custom alarm snooze times now. In S8-10 and early days of S20. Alarms were only allowed 5 minutes and repeat 3 times (wasted battery) Now you can set alarm to snooze and turn off quicker, (custom 1 minute repeat 3 minutes) 3 minute drainage vs 15 minute drainage if you miss turning off alarm because you're out of the room.

This has to be one of my favourite comparison videos I've watched on this phone so far) I've had an iPhone 11 since August 2020 and I've actually really enjoyed it and the sense of security that comes with not being able to download anything I want from the internet, but now that's become an issue because with all the mess going on in the world, Apple has been deleting important apps for Russian users like bank and social media apps and I can't access them the same way I could if I had an android so I've decided to jump the ship before they block the phones from working in the entire region lol. I was on the fence if I had chosen the right phone, but this comparison actually pretty much convinced me that I chose the right phone)

Glad my Exynos S22U is not the only one that has performance issues. Very disappointed but updates have at least made it usable now. I feel that it was a last minute decision by Samsung to resurrect the Exynos version, probably due to the terrible yield Samsung Fabs had on the SD8G1. So we in Europe got dumped with a half-baked chip. What is clear is that Exynos 2200 is not great and that the software is behind and poorly optimised. It may take a while for things to sort out.
I agree that the S22+ design is better than the S22U and if the Plus had a 12GB option that would be my choice. That is another issue, RAM management, maybe 8GB is not enough or optimisation is sub-par?
    Thanks for your thoughts.

Currently using the S20 Plus but got my eye on the S22 plus. After watching this review I am totally sold on the S22 plus.

I'm really looking forward to buying the Galaxy S22 Ultra. I'm currently using the Note 10 plus and I know the S23 Ultra is being released this year with many promising features but I think the S22 Ultra's price drops will make it a better upgrade for me.

The performance hiccups have been mostly sorted or improved with android 13. I upgraded to the s22 Ultra from a Note 10+ which was running android 12 at that moment (both exynos), and the s22 was also on android 12 out of the box and initial impressions with a 3 generation newer phone were bad, felt like I got scammed :))) Most of the stutters from the Note 10 (3 years + older!!) were also on the S22 (really shows how much software matters, rather than chipset). Luckily android 13 for the s22 was already available, upgraded, and only then I felt I really had a new phone.

Want to upgrade from my note 9. Phone has been great but battery life is aweful now and I have to bring my charger to work now.
Not sure if I'm going with Samsung since it seems like a lot of reviews mention terrible battery life. Considering trying the 13 promax but idk, so use to android.
    Decisions

After being a long iPhone user. (Using an XR at the moment) I’m tempted to jump back to android and keeping my eyes on the pixel 7 when that launches later this year. The iPhone 13 pro is very tempting though.

I am getting the S22. I've been using Samsung A7 since 2018 and wanted to update. While the battery still gets me through the day with lighter use, the phone itself got laggy.

Honestly I am not sure if I will even get a phone. The phones don't come with a charger, they do have batteries. that run down. The iphone pro 13 is $168.00 dollars more then the Samsung S22 plus here in Canada. iphone still has that cut out at the top of the screen and their screen is smaller. Samsung doesn't have a SD card option anymore, which is another negative in my opinion.

I’m a pretty basic user and just purchased the s22 plus. I switched from the 13 pro max. The battery is obviously not near as great as the iPhone, however I still love the s 22 plus. I would have gotten the ultra, but i hated that they made it a note so I went with the plus.

This year I'm planning to buy a new iphone for my younger sister (iphone 11 if I could afford it by the end of this year), she is using an iphone 7 plus given down to her from my older sister 2 years ago, but it is a pain to see her constantly having to hook it on a charger, unable to play modern mobile games and take night mode pictures etc.

I am a lifelong Samsung S-series user who bought the iPhone 13 Pro, took 3 whole days to setup the phone, and then had it stolen within the week 😭I am now looking to buy either the iPhone13 again or the S22.
My biggest grouse as a flagship Samsung user is the notch (can't stand it!) and the 60Hz display (when I switched to the iPhone, I was unsure whether there were spots where the screen wasn't working and it was defective, then realised it's just a responsiveness issue). But IPhone's battery is just sooo much better, and its screen doesn't shatter easily (big klutz). So conflicted right now!

I am surely planning to buy a high end camera centric phone well given the amount of media that is consumed by others it totally makes easier to make content when I will have a high end flagship.
Well to be honest I am leaning towards s22 ultra a little bit ,but I'll love to win the iphone too.
    Hope the best.
Also congratulations in Advance for 50,000 subs
