So happy I recently got an S22+. Definitely the best phone for me. Looks great with a Supcase UB Pro case. True, there isn't any S-Pen support but I'm using a cheap but good stylus to navigate around. It works great! It heats up a bit on games and some apps but there's always a mobile phone cooler for long-term gaming. Plus, it's easier to put decal stickers and screen protectors compared to the Ultra due to it being a flatter design.

Hey I saw that you mention the brightness of the screen when it's dark (when you wake up). Go into the options related to facial recognition and disable the "Brighten the screen" option, so that when you wake up and pick up the phone and turn on the screen it won't light up extremely bright anymore.
@@ChilledFossilofficial hey Fossil, try this too. You can go to accessibility and visibility options. There you can turn on Extra Dim. Then go back to Accessibility and advanced. Turn on toggle for extra dim for Vol Up + Vol Down press. I'll turn this on when I'm getting ready for bed and turn this off when I'm waking up. Also, when I want to save battery life I'll also turn it on.
Not sure if you already changed the face unlock brightness problem but you can change it here. Settings > Biometrics and security > Face Recognition > Swithc Brighten Screen off

I’m thinking of getting the S22 Plus. Most reviews are saying it’s better than the S22 Ultra. I’m trading in the Z Flip 3 because the battery is garbage, the camera isn’t the best and the supplied screen protector is coming off on the crease.
I tried the speakers of s22 ultra and s22 plus in samsung showroom and i felt the ultra’s speakers were 20% better than s22 plus’ speakers. May be an issue in your unit?🤔
The Note 20 Ultra Speakers are much louder then the S22 Ultra Speakers. I think that it's time for Samsung to add 4 Stereo Speakers on their flagships. One chinese smart phone has. 4 speakers are much louder and when you work in a factory like me you can't hardly hear your music on 2 speakers.
display is nice but i think the higher resolution on my s9 plus was way crisper and detailed. Thats the only thing i was upset about besides the zoom which is slightly is better on the ultra ( better resolution clearer picture only when fully zoomed in but the ultra isnt any better up close. I also think the sound is decent but they need more depth and bass. . BUt as far as the phone as a whole i absolutly love it. Bright display great build quality and fast.
Bruh the darkness thing is right in the face recognition part of biometrics and security in the setting. There's literally a switch titled Brighten screen. Just look into the settings a bit, and this one is not even looking, it's right there man.
Traded my S20+ 800.00 credit for the S22+ I wish I would have held off for the S23 line up that was very stupid of me battery life for the S22+ is just okay not really that bad but could be better I also pass up the iPhone 13 pro max it could have been my first iPhone between the two device's being the iPhone 13 pro max computer to the S22+ know contest I could have had a iPhone for the first time a device that is much much better in built made to last ! Just got to remember that this device was at know cost to me and to think some folks paid around a thousand dollars good grief that's about 300.00 too much!
I just turned off the brightness for face unlock. Dont ask me where it is, because UI is very confusing. Just search it in settings you will find it there.
bro I think you should try iPhone 13 pro or 13 pro max it has a good performance better than s22+ and s22 ultra and has long-life battery, won't heat like Samsung devices and it has pro camera

@maximusg88 well if your puttingt your apps in deep sleep i dont think your battery is going to adapt to usage because then it has no idea about what to do with the ram management or apps

I am using S22+ which I bought two months ago. Funny is that I am thinking if I need s pen🤣I've never used s pen before but I have trouble circling and highlighting on passages with my big finger 🤣I didn't do that much previously but now I read & screecap to people more often than before.
Thats a very valid reason to have an spen! But is it worth that $200 upgrade O.o? If you're doing a lot of passages and work then spen + super large display may make a huge difference!
I hope this video becomes the go to for people searching for S22 Plus reviews. I think you could do some side quest with the S22. Do another video when you get the June Update + show us your settings and homescreen, maybe the apps you like. You could do another video on accessories that you use or one on the video games you play on it. I'm just saying that if you put up more S22 Plus videos, I will gladly watch them. Heck, do a Tier list of all the phones you have had, that would be awesome lol.
Paid $1000 for this phone and suck just as my mid ranger, huge lag between photos snaps, gallery needs excessive time to load thumbnails, i can increase virtual memory to 8gb or more and set apps to be prioritized in the memory that they don't close but Samsung closes the apps anyway when i switch between them. Still no update to UI 5.0.... It was a huuuge dissapointment because it really wasn't that much increase in speed over my Galaxy A32. So my wife was also in need of a new phone, since the S22+ didn't perform very well and the iPhone 11 was really a huge upgrade as its getting better benchmarks than the S22+ it came almost at half the price. I bought an iPhone 11 128gb for my wife, cool she said till we unboxed it and the phone didn't turn on and the Apple retailer turned his back and gave us the finger on warranty, literally just scammed us ! So now im stuck with a $1000 mid ranger and a $550 dead brick, Thank you Samsung and Apple !!!!
Have you seen the difference between the camera sample of s22+ and ultra. It is nearly negligible. I couldn't find any big difference. Don't just rely on the megapixels.

Hi, I'm contemplating getting the s22+. The phone will be intended for extended video recording/streaming usage. Do you have any heating problems with the S22+ the same way you had with the S22 Ultra? Should I be concerned?
No "REAL" heating issues but there are times the phone heats up and can get uncomfortable. Honestly between the s22+ and the ultra, the plus heats up less - neither phone is heating up to the point where performance is hindered or components are damaged.... not yet..
is the 1080p screen trash next to the ultra's 1440p? i want to go with the plus but i dont want to regret the 1080p screen because im coming from a 1440p note phone

I just bought the s22+ that's the first comment with the device on yt.The phone is just amazing. The screen the cameras even the small things like the voll LTE protocol for calls amazing. The only problem is at night when I take off my glasses and shove the phone close to my eyes I can barely see the pixels .That's it. Everything else is perfect. If the screen resolution was like 1440p the phone would be just more then perfect. But I'm still very happy . STRONGLY RECOMMEND!
Did you mention which type of chip your Samsung devices have? Because here in Europe as I understood I can only get the s22 series with the exynos chip and I hear that issues you mention connected to chip performance might be worse on exynos devices.

As far as i know the toggle for the brightness in screen unlock is under biometrics then face unlock, i am using an s10 atm but it shouldnt make a difference
Seems like all the screens on the S22 series should be QHD. Having 1440 on this phone would make it much more competitive with pixel 6 pro and oneplus 10 pro.
S22 design is very sleek, I love the flat screen and back camera design. Though I switched to iPhone 13 pro but S22 is gorgeous to look at.

The screen is bright but kind of a low PPI of 393 , it's a step down from my S20 plus .

Yeah. Having the curve on screen kind off(It really did) compromise the structural integrity
Its very fragile on the curves, most of the cracked screen images of the s22u all have shatters there.

Honestly overall the speakers on the ultra are some of the worst I've ever heard - and it seems to be a widespread issue with the ultra.

Usually on a 20 minute video it takes under 10 minutes-- but for the past few days youtube checks, processing have been taking longer than usual.
Seems like all the screens on the S22 series should be QHD. Having 1440 on this phone would make it much more competitive with pixel 6 pro and oneplus 10 pro.
