Currently, I have s20+ as my phone, is it worth upgrading to s22+? my only concern is that the resolution / ppi density of s22+ is lower than s20+. Is the large difference in ppi noticeable?
Having come from the S20 Plus I noticed the difference immediately, but after using the phone for a few days my eyes readjusted .. don't really don't notice it anymore.
I am so conflicted with buying this phone or sticking with an iPhone. I have only ever used iPhones since smart phones started taking control of the cell phone market. I am so nervous, but I also feel like I need to give androids a chance and this is the best time to do it. Would someone who has been in my shoes maybe give me some advice on this switch? This video is great by the way!
Both are great options. I wouldn't switch for the sake of switching if you're comfortable in the apple ecosystem. Unless the s22 can clearly solve a problem you have within iOS then I wouldn't rush out.
We're only 9 days away from the release of the s23 and here at Best Buy they're still selling the s22+ at full retail. Yes, there have been some sales in the past ($749), but I'm hoping it drops to $500-600 when the s23 releases. I don't buy phones from ebay or amazon, not reliable, in my opinion.

Very nice video! I tend to lean towards videos with an opinion rather than tons of comparison specs. I have a 2-year-old S20 that I finally paid off. When I watch videos that compare the S20 series to the S22s models, the S20's seem to have better all-around specs than the S22 series because of many S22 downgraded features, ie., lower screen resolution, etc. So, by itself, the S22 seems to be a great choice, until I compare it to my S20. I'm not sure whether to hold on to my S20 or move "up" to the S22+. Your thoughts?
who cares if the resolution is lower when it's a tiny phone screen. it's not like you're going to be holding it directly to your eyeballs. there's no way you'll perceive the difference
Nothing wrong with it but for the price its underwhelming. The s21fe would be a better deal. It should of had everything the ultra has first off.And the 22 plus have some worse specs than my s9 plus. They should of gave it the better camera as well. I also wanted my 1440 p on the s22 plus because I don't want a bigger phone like a note and the bigger screen shouldn't get everything better . My s9 plus had 1440 p so why wouldn't the s22 plus ?. But still a good phone but I think Samsung was putting the shift in everyone with the price vs what you get.

Only problem with S22 series and S22+ is chip and battery life. When you compare to a 13 Pro, Samsung have a lot of work. In France, we have Exynos and it is slower when you compare to an Iphone 13 Pro. You can feel and see it with some apps and transition. That's why, for the first time since i got the Galaxy Note 1 in 2012, i bought an iphone for the first time this year. I took time in store before make my choice but right now, S22+ is really good but too slow and not efficient toward an Iphone 13 Pro. I hope i could go back to Samsung if they manage to stop Exynos in France and improve collaboration with Qualcomm to better efficiency
Most of the speed difference is hardly noticeable in daily usage. The noticeable differences are usually just smoother animations on iOS. Switched back and forth between an S10 and S21 and S21+ (Exynos and Snapdragon) and both were plenty fast for daily use. I don't think an Exynos 2200 could be that bad unless you run demanding tasks like games.
@@samsar1597 i can tell you that there is real difference. When you compare animation and smoothness between a S22 series smartphone and Xiaomi 12 Pro with SD8 Gen 1, i can clearly see difference: no little lag, not little freeze. I don't want to give that money to Samsung for an Exynos, no way. Samsung S22 series and S21 series smartphone were not in top 5 sellers smartphone because of that, not only because iPhone are great. Samsung give 8+ Gen 1 on Fold/Flip wherever you are and difference is more noticeable. If everything goes right, every country will have SD8 Gen 2.
I would get this instead of the ultra for the flat screen but the 256gb is the largest you can get. Ultra has 512gb. Just for that alone i have to get the ultra. Which really sucks.
I just want them to bring back the sd card and give much better battery life on these phones. I mean if samsung wants to emulate apple, they should copy the things apple does well like battery and animations
I'm considering this phone along with the s21fe. That phone is a nice size (bigger than the s22) and $300 less than the s22+. Do you feel that the s22+ has enough quality up grades (display, haptics, processor) to warrant the additional cost? This phone is very similar in price to the OnePlus 10 pro. Which do you like best between the S22+ and the oneplus 10 pro?
I bought the S22 Ultra and I love it but I'm switching to the S23+ when they release that. I just wanna get back to a smaller phone and a flat screen. I'm just praying they come with QHD displays this time. 🙏🏽
Thing I need help with why am I having trouble when I make my own ringtones I can assign to my contact but the default song just plays anyway... can any one help? It's fustrating.. Only thing bothering me right now is battery dies so fast and it's not a good thing if you want to listen to music to long or go photo shoots with out a back up battery.
Thanks bro! That was on adaptive display with the high refresh rate with 5G and 4G depending on location. I’d say when 5G being used more, it’ll be hanging on the lower end of the range … like 5 hours of SOT vs 6!
I’d say there’s a decent difference I.e an increase from 5 to 6 hours of SOT. And no, the phone doesn’t get hot easy at least not in my experience. The Pixel 6 Pro definitely sits gets hotter
Hi. Seeing your gears, your production quality and the number of subs i got a bit confused. Thought, ok you have started just now and wanna get a piece of the UA-cam pie. But read in another comment that you upload part time. Just a small advice. If you’re doing this just for fun then you’re already well and good. If the gears you have are part of your main income then am happy. But if you have invested in them for UA-cam then i would seriously suggest you to upload more frequently like once a week atleast to make your efforts worthwhile😊. Your production is good and I strongly wish you find the time you need for editing and upload more in the future. All the best😊👍🏻
I think you'll end up waiting every year upon year at this rate. There's always going to be a reason to wait for next year's model. I don't think the battery performance is that bad tbh
@@CJYing I've never looked at this way. You have a point👍🏻. Its just this year big price jump for S series prices, making me think twice before swallowing any defect. Like too much money vs imperfect battery. Or 8 gb ram vs 12. Or 256 gb vs 512 storage. FHD vs QHD. Better charge speed than 45wt. Things was supposed to exsist in a phone with such price. Am not asking for the Ultra specs to be in the Plus model. These are basic features in flagships shouldnt be compromised. Maybe am mistaken. Or overthinking it.

After using Samsung Galaxy S22+ for more than two months, I am sad to report that I regret buying it. Knowing what I know now I would have bought an iPhone 14 Pro or iPhone 14 Pro Max instead of Samsung Galaxy S22+. After using the phone for more than two months and also reading other online reviews, I can conclude that the main problem with Galaxy S22+ is its Exynos 2200 chip which equips the variant sold in Europe. The problems which I saw: - My Bluetooth headphones didn't work with this phone. i had to buy a new pair. - When I browse the internet during Whatsapp calls. I get breaks in the audio. This happens all the time. - The battery life is poor. A one day trip to somewhere will run the battery flat. I was able to use my previous phones in the same way and my phones had still battery by the end of a one day trip. - Samsung's bloatware. Ever since I bought this phone, I have been busy turning off all kind of services from Samsung which I don't need and I don't want. - Each time there is a software update, the user interface becomes slower and the animations in the user interface present glitches which I hadn't noticed before the update.
Never heard of bluetooth headphones not working. Maybe there was an issue with your old headphones. Calling BS on your battery life...contact Samsung CS. Bloatware? You delete it once and never have to worry about it again...what a lame argument. Each time there is a software update? How many did you have in the past 2 months.. I own a lot of Apple products (owned a couple of iPhones) but it's not all that it's cracked up to be...but give it a try. So much more customization available with Android...but you'll likely need something that's less technical and easier to use

Just got mine two days ago. Sweet phone. But no SD card option 😒
the best phone in the s22 series. if you don't care about sd 8 gen1 vs gen+1, just buy this phone.

Overall Which phone u prefer, pixel 6 pro or s22+??
I wished they put a 5x zoom for the Plus variant. That should be the main de facto differentiator between the smaller and bigger brother.
Agreed it needs a different factor to differentiate itself
We're only 9 days away from the release of the s23 and here at Best Buy they're still selling the s22+ at full retail. Yes, there have been some sales in the past ($749), but I'm hoping it drops to $500-600 when the s23 releases. I don't buy phones from ebay or amazon, not reliable, in my opinion.
sorry i got a s22+ to replace my broken s9+, traded in my s7 for 600$ credit... noticed the PPI on the s22+ is only 390, and 1080p resolution lol. my s9+ which my mom has, had a way better screen picture quality wise.. the s22+ is grainy too me, i can see the jagged texted and grainy pictures on it.. the camera is great but with the screen it makes them look grainy.. yes i have 20/10 vision i can see the diff, even my s7 had 1440p and like 550 ppi.. and its screen is sharper and smoother...
so i returned my s22+ waiting on my s22 ultra to go in the mail.. at least its 1440p and has 501 ppi.. s22+ is a downgrade.. phones today arent impressive..the screen and camera is all they have going for them now and this one is a downgrade.. the last galaxy phone with 1080p was a s5.. why the hell would anyone pay 1000-1100 for 1080p is beyond me
Did you consider the OnePlus 10 pro? It has a QHD display.
I agree with your comments and I'm hoping the s23+ will come out with a QHD upgrade. Should be standard for flagship quality.
@@allenschneider1847 i got the s22 ultra.. returned the s22+. One thing im hating about the ultra js the screen acratchs SOOOOOo easily. Like ive had it for 1-2 months.. and ive got hundreds of micro scratches.. and i keep it in a wallet case half the time. Or in a empty pocket. Aparently this is a common issue. Now you dont see them inside but with the phone angled on a bright light. You do
@@jeepsblackpowderandlights4305 The pixel density is not an issue for me coming from a QHD display. The battery would take a hit considering it's got a higher refresh rate and is significantly brighter than S9+ or anything prior.
@@samsar1597 not really man, my s22Ultra the battery i only recharge 1 time a day. It lasts from 8am to 11pm most of the time. This is with the resolution maxed out. This with mixed usage throughout the day, texting. internet, few videos.. calls.. etc.. The battery life is really good on mine. I would never go back to the s22+ i could EASILY ssee the pixel density was sht.. sorry i can easily see a low pixel density on computer monitors, tv's and phone..
I also dont need to keep my s22 ultra at full brightness. Its like at 30% 24/7 any higher and its too bright and bugs me
my only complaint of the s22 ultra is the screen scratchs SOOOOO easily.. 3 days after owning it and babying it.. i had scratchs.. 2 week more scratchs.. months later i gave up and now its scratched all over.. all from just being in a clean pocket. or in my wallet case.. This thing gets scratched from dust... i noticed other ppl have the same issue
Should i go for the pixel 6 pro or s22+? Which one...

If you need a new phone, the s22+ is a worthy upgrade over the s20
Put a new battery on your S20 and keep it. After my S10+ went kaput I am on a market for the new one. Would have kept the s10+ otherwise.
Keep s20.im buying another s20fe cus the battery life is better

Nothing wrong with it but for the price its underwhelming. The s21fe would be a better deal. It should of had everything the ultra has first off.And the 22 plus have some worse specs than my s9 plus. They should of gave it the better camera as well. I also wanted my 1440 p on the s22 plus because I don't want a bigger phone like a note and the bigger screen shouldn't get everything better . My s9 plus had 1440 p so why wouldn't the s22 plus ?. But still a good phone but I think Samsung was putting the shift in everyone with the price vs what you get.

Would u prefer the pixel 6 pro or galaxy s22+ on camera? Hello from Indonesia 🙌
Both are great 😊 choose depending on which phone you like the look and feel of
Only problem with S22 series and S22+ is chip and battery life.
One can only hope the snapdragon love will spread beyond selected markets!
@@CJYing i think it has something to do with license stuff. We europeans always get freakin exynos :-;
I just purchased the S22 plus and I love it.

I would get this instead of the ultra for the flat screen but the 256gb is the largest you can get. Ultra has 512gb. Just for that alone i have to get the ultra. Which really sucks.
Agreed, they really could’ve pushed the envelope for more people. But in the end ultras make more money and it’ll shears about the $$$
I just want them to bring back the sd card and give much better battery life on these phones. I mean if samsung wants to emulate apple, they should copy the things apple does well like battery and animations

I agree with you I have the s22 plus also in green had the s20 note never used the s pen and hated the curve screen and size.
S22 plus all the away better camera, far far better software, ip 68 rating, the only miss is curved display

@@CJYing I've never looked at this way. You have a point👍🏻. Its just this year big price jump for S series prices, making me think twice before swallowing any defect.
The problems which I saw:
- My Bluetooth headphones didn't work with this phone. i had to buy a new pair.

Even considering price and curved screen, the camera layout on the Ultra would be by far and away the biggest blocker for me owning it. It triggers both my trypophobia and my arachnophobia quite strongly. Thankfully I can't afford such an expensive phone and the S22+ will do nicely :)
