The best review on S22 all the models, beats all the other UA-cam channels on comparison handsdown. Appreciate your explanation on the smaller details .
I been really enjoying this S22 ultra an really amazed with how long the battery last for me up at 4am and put on charging at the next morning 12 or 1am coming from LG I was always putting my phone on the charger! And the camera is really nice on Samsung I'm happy I purchased this... and always had 6.8 size it feels real good to me! Thank you for for sharing this...blessings... ✨️🙌🏾✨️
That's good to know! I saw some reviews of the SD models and thought I could see this a tiny bit, but no way near as bad. It certainly seems to be affecting mostly Exynos models so far!
The battery shrink completely killedthe S22. The plus isn't bad but every review says the sot is cut wayyyy too short and unlivable for the reviewer . I have the ultra and have zero complaints . I bought a case that rises up close on the sides so the curves aren't a bother. I turned off everything Samsung and never logged in to my Samsung account and disabled everything Bixby possible. Now I have a great Android phone with less clutter and does everything I want and more , without Bixby bloat .
Haha, the Samsung bloat is still very real! Battery life has been alright for me, but definitely disappointing vs last year. Glad you're liking the Ultra though!
I was going to get the ultra cause the lack of camera bump thing looks really good but the curved screen is a deal breaker and while the square design looks cool its not very practical i also don't use the s pen so ill probably end up getting the s22+ instead unfortunately
Personally coming from a S22, I actually upgraded to the ultra and I can't go back. The screen is absolutely stunning and probably #1 in the market. I do not understand the issue with curved screens as this is like samsungs 5th iteration of curved display and they've honestly perfected, I've hardly had any issues and make the phone feel more premium then rounded corners on the s22.
Agree with you @Anonymous. Was tempted to get the Ultra for that larger screen but with the Ultra's curve, maybe there's an argument that you 'lose' the extra 0.2 inches of screen real estate that the Ultra has over the Plus. The screen size is the main difference I'd notice day-to-day with the Ultra, once the initial fun and novelty has worn off. By that point, is 0.2 inches REALLY worth making yourself £200 poorer?
I hate the curved screen on my Note 10. Hard to edit pictures, plus the screen breaks more easily because cases don't protect the sides as they are lower than the screen. This video sold me on the S22+ because of the Ultra's noise/softening. Will miss the 10x, but they need to make the screen flat first, no one wants broken screens.
in my opinion they should've kept last years sizes for the bigger batteries because they made a lot of internals more battery hungry (exynos 2200 etc.) I actually bought an S21+ around 2 weeks ago just because of the smaller battery size and price on the S22+
Thank you! Unfortunately I won't get time to do that. I think most of what i'd want to say is already covered in compared the S22 Ultra and S21 Ultra (and then in this video comparing the S22+ and Ultra). Sorry!

My ultra is the same size as my A71 so no problem in size. The 10x optical swung it for me and the camera is way beyond the abilities of the A71. The A71 sometimes would stubbornly refuse to take a photo sometimes which was annoying. The pen is also a nice addition so I do not really think the ultra is too expensive given these extras. Writing is exactly like on paper and converting to text very impressive. Very pleased with it so these are very different machines and you just takes your choice. The way it outperforms my little Canon SX620 with a 25x optical zoom is impressive though Canon compact small sensor performance is in general poor compared to for example my Nikon A1000. The only real advantage with these compacts is the latter has an EVF which is useful for long zoom especially with moving objects. I have always been a stalwart resistor against phones but even my m43 kit struggles to stay ahead. The phones digital portrait blurring can show artefacts, though you can alter the level after taking the image, so a a fast prime on a larger sensor still gives better background blur and the buttons are easier on cameras but these phones are most impressive. The Ultra is for me I must say. Edit: One advantage of traditional cameras is it is easy to put a polariser on them for shots through glass as in museums and to darken a blown out sky. Edit: Just starting to scratch the surface of the awesome pen utility which has even gesture technology built in.
Hi. Need your opinion on the Samsung S22 series 1. Is the S22 Ultra heavy? Is it gonna make you feel uncomfortable on long term use like watching movies? 2. For someone who needs to turn on the data and hotspot most of the time, is the S22/S22+ still okay to last the whole day? 3. Is the design of S22 Ultra makes you feel uncomfortable? The corner edges and the big boxy size. Or will it be fine with a phone case?

I wonder how the plastic parts it will hold quality usually break down after a few recycles cheap materials more money. ;) good video however ;)
This isn't an attack on you, but just general statements. This is a great review. Idk why people complain about 400 ppi not being enough on phones when their computer monitors and laptops are pushing 80-150 ppi. It's not that big a deal on these small screens. Even if anything, you'll get better battery life with 1080p displays. Same thing with people who pixel peep on the cameras. If you want a pro grade camera, get a pro grade camera. I'm not saying that a smartphone camera shouldn't be good, but the majority of them are good enough. Would love to see some reasons why people care I'm genuinely curious.
Yes, pixels are only important if enlarging a photo. However that 10x optical zoom is just oh so good. The spen is great for productivity and the extra battery life and screen is great. 12gb of ram is good too. They are all good phones. What is concerning is that softening issue...wow...really noticeable.
That's fair. I think most people won't notice or care. But then again it's people like me, the tech enthusiasts, that tend to watch these reviews. Those are the types of people who are more likely to nitpick these smaller details. But I completely get where you're coming from!
Very well detailed 👍🏽. 108 mp is useless on a sensor of this size, In fact, it creates more problems than it solves. Honestly, I've always wondered what a sensor of the same size as Samsung's 108 mp but with 48 or 50 mp would have given Imagine that for a moment 🤯
Great job. Really liked the focus on real world performance vs. spec sheet comparison. Really appreciate the camera review, was about to go all in on the Ultra, but that noise/softening is a no go for me if it's going to impact like that. Question - Is that only for the main lens, because the 3x and 10x photos for the Ultra did look very sharp ?
Thank you! It’s the main lens and also the selfie lens for certain things like video, weirdly. But the telephoto lenses are fantastic. No issues with those and the camera quality is awesome for zoomed shots!
I've had the Ultra for a few months and decided to try the S22+ for the flat screen and lighter feel... I'm sorry but I had to go back to the Ultra as the 1440p huge screen is just beautiful... I couldn't downgrade to the 1080p smaller screen of the S22+
I was really struggling with this decision. Even with hours of research I was unsure. You gave me the clearest understanding of what the differences are in practical terms so that I could finally feel like I am making the best selection for me. Thank you so much!
Great review, I decided on the S22 Plus, the 22 was just too small and the Ultra which is a Note is just too big, boxy and it doesn't feel good in the hand. Why Samsung said they discontinued the Note and called it the Ultra in the 22 is beyond me? Thanks again, the review helped a lot.
I currently have the Galaxy A71 5G and wasn't sure what to upgrade to next. This video really helps me make a decision and I will go with the S22+. Very detailed and concise. Thank you so much for making this.
I miss the old days when samsung used to give you everything in the phone including expandable storage, wqhd, headphone jack, etc... remember the s10 5g?
S22+ for me, ultra is just too big for me. My limit is S22+. I don't want an S Pen. Also the S22+ is the only phone below 160 mm(dimension height) form factor, Still has a screen size of 6.6 inches. uniform thin bezels, no curved display. So all these make me love the S22+.
I've just made up my mind to upgrade from the S20FE to the S22+ after watching this video. Wanted to go for the compact S22 but battery life is huge concern for me.
I have to regular s22 with snapdragon and with the most recent update i am comfortably getting 5 and a half hours screen on time day in day out which is enough for me because i love its small form factor coming from the regular s10
As a Galaxy and phone nerd your review is by far the best on UA-cam! And i watch all the popular phone channel. First time watching and your information the specs on paper with your testing and personal experience checks all my boxes when trying to decide on a phone. S21 ultra has usbc port issues and the phone has been acting a little buggy so its time for an upgrade.
Traded my Note 9 in for the Plus, and loving the experience so far. The flat screen is a joy, and despite it being heavier than my husband's S21 FE, it feels much better balanced and comfortable in hand. I'll cry over missing out on the Ultras fabulous zoom for the next four years (assuming the battery lasts that long), until a Flip comes out with better battery life, camera and dust protection.
In my opinion, nothing is more important than battery life. I never thought phones being minicomputers was a good idea. I do understand updating the towers for reception. But phones from 20 years ago are still better if you ask me. Especially when it comes to the battery life and charge. Computers and phones needed to kept separate from each other.
The ultra still has that shitty old ass design i dont understand why they didnt design the ultra like the s22 and s22plus. They dropped the ball on that one. I cant stand that stupid curved edged screen. All phones should have flat screens.
I'm currently looking to upgrade and was going for the Ultra (love the S pen idea!) but now re-thinking it with the boxly look and size. Definately need to hands on all these, but either way it will be an upgrade from my S8! LOL
Subbed! Ive been watching tech videos for years and this is just clean and straightforward. Def a channel worth recommending when people need to decide which phone they need

Awesome, glad you like it!
I wish they ditched the camera bump and had the back flushed in the height of the camera bump so they could have a bigger battery. Like the S22+ battery in the S22...
Agreed
I have a OnePlus 5t ( 5years old), I'm planning to upgrade cuz the camera in my current phone has become shitty. I'm leaning towards s22, but the battery life seems to be dogshit. I don't really like big phones so I'm not sure if s22+ is for me. I don't see any option other than this ( i hate iphones so yeah, no iPhone 13). What should I do ? Please help ? My OP5T gives me 5-6 hours SOT, and i probably don't like it. Man, i love the s22, but the battery life ? I'm not so sure about it . Please help
Does the lower 393 PPI makes S22 Plus display worse than the S22?
Technically, yes. But you could argue that the larger screen size makes it worth it
I am going to buy the s22 plus with your help
excellent video
Thank you 💚
What's up with battery life? It's time to upgrade from my S20+ wow!
BOY HOWDY HES DOGGON DONE IT AGAIN.
Haha, thanks! 💚
@@insidetechltd And literally just bought the S22 Ultra 512gb thanks to you :)
Enjoy it my friend!
recycled parts and still selling premium (they had me at used fishnets and plastic bottles ;)
and they still including the most poor quality USB cable money can buy.
recycled victus 2 glass?
I wonder how the plastic parts it will hold quality usually break down after a few recycles
cheap materials more money. ;)
good video however ;)
I miss the Samsung blue colors
Well done
Thanks!
Idk how you make it like, GREEN GREEN. I can't make one look green despite the lightings
It isn't green green really, it's green blue!
Как аккумулятор на s 22плюс?
1.20: Oh stop! As for Galaxy Note Fans, the boxy design of S22 Ultra is perfection.
We don't need big almost circle rounded corners have to offer.
Glad you like it! It's just not for me personally
@@insidetechltd because it will cut content. And we don't have to copy apple for everything.
Was there a update or something that improved the camera for the ultra?
I upgraded s9 plus to S22 plus damn this is alot to me
This isn't an attack on you, but just general statements.
Honestly, I've always wondered what a sensor of the same size as Samsung's 108 mp but with 48 or 50 mp would have given
Imagine that for a moment 🤯
Thank you!
Pov watching this on an s22
This review is the best comparison between all the s22 series. Concised and objective. Great job
That's great to hear, thank you very much!
You know a review is great when you don't have to bring up the time bar to see when it's going to finish. 👍👍
What a lovely comment, thank you! 👊🏼
That's fair enough, at least you tried it!
I was really struggling with this decision. Even with hours of research I was unsure. You gave me the clearest understanding of what the differences are in practical terms so that I could finally feel like I am making the best selection for me. Thank you so much!
Which one did you pick?
You’re welcome! Thanks a lot for watching 👊🏼
Bitch what you pick
@@kingcjboss5578 s22 plus probably
Maybe write which one you bought?
Great review, I decided on the S22 Plus, the 22 was just too small and the Ultra which is a Note is just too big, boxy and it doesn't feel good in the hand. Why Samsung said they discontinued the Note and called it the Ultra in the 22 is beyond me? Thanks again, the review helped a lot.
That's my pick too. Thanks for watching!
@@insidetechltd Your welcome, I just saw an error typo that I had to correct ugh.
@@gmemo4449 that's not the only typo 😂
Lolol ikr, that's exactly what they did.
The S and the Note got so close it just didn't make sense to have them both
I currently have the Galaxy A71 5G and wasn't sure what to upgrade to next. This video really helps me make a decision and I will go with the S22+. Very detailed and concise. Thank you so much for making this.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for this, while testing tehn both in a store, I noticed how the camera on s22+ was better than the ultra and thought that I was going crazy.
You’re not crazy haha, I’ve been testing them for months and the results speak for themselves 🤷♂️
I miss the old days when samsung used to give you everything in the phone including expandable storage, wqhd, headphone jack, etc... remember the s10 5g?
Me too. S10 series probably my favourite Samsung phones ever!
I've s22 and it just feels slick and chic in the hand.
@Shahem Owies depends on usage. I'm an average user, lasts a day and charges in 43min. If you are a heavy user, probably straight up 8hours.
Nice 👍🏼
I've just made up my mind to upgrade from the S20FE to the S22+ after watching this video. Wanted to go for the compact S22 but battery life is huge concern for me.
That's fair enough, at least you can put your mind at ease now!
I have to regular s22 with snapdragon and with the most recent update i am comfortably getting 5 and a half hours screen on time day in day out which is enough for me because i love its small form factor coming from the regular s10
@@jakefortescue4998 how many hours did it last with and without SOT? And may I know your usage?
Likewise, looking to do the same jump, how’s your experience been?
Very well made review of the S22 line up. Still learned a lot even after watching so many of the individual reviews :) Thank you.
That’s good to hear, thanks a lot!
Wow, thanks very much!
Nice!
Fools Edition isn't great
Flop is a FLOP
This might be the best review/comparaisons video I've ever watched ❤
That's really kind, thank you 💚
Th is is much better review than that marques guy.
Thanks a lot! 👊🏼
I personally prefer the squared off boxy design of the s22 ultra. I liked the s21 ultra but glad to be back to a note style device.
That's fair enough, you're not alone with that view!
I like the box design but i hate the edge screen so im going for the s22 plus with flat screen.
One of the best detailed Review ever 👍 Thanks alot Man, It cleared out all my Confusion.
Glad it hear it! Thank you for watching 🙌🏼
One of the best comparisons. excellent work.
That's awesome to hear, thank you 👊🏼
Thank you - just the type of review that i wanted. So hard to find such comparisons that only a person that uses the devices can do..
Thanks for watching 🙌🏼
In my opinion, nothing is more important than battery life. I never thought phones being minicomputers was a good idea. I do understand updating the towers for reception. But phones from 20 years ago are still better if you ask me. Especially when it comes to the battery life and charge. Computers and phones needed to kept separate from each other.
The ultra still has that shitty old ass design i dont understand why they didnt design the ultra like the s22 and s22plus. They dropped the ball on that one. I cant stand that stupid curved edged screen. All phones should have flat screens.
Haha...agreed!
Yep, if the next years s23 ultra still edge, im going for iphone. Or get the plus versions with flat screens. Ive had edge for 5 years, sick of it
Incredulous that my s8 plus has qhd while the s22 and s22 plus is on fhd...
S22 Ultra is damn ugly !
would probably go with the s22 if not for the fact you cant get it in a 512gb model
RIP expandable storage
I was really torn by which model to choose, following this I've taken the + model, thank you!
Nice 👌🏼
This was an incredibly useful video. Thanks for putting it together.
Thank you for watching it!
I'm currently looking to upgrade and was going for the Ultra (love the S pen idea!) but now re-thinking it with the boxly look and size. Definately need to hands on all these, but either way it will be an upgrade from my S8! LOL
Hands on is the best way to know for sure!
Thank you, I've decided on the s22+.... I'm just not too sure about the chipset we're getting in South Africa 🤔
I think South Africa should be getting the Snapdragon version 👍🏼
@@insidetechltd awesome thank you. This review cleared up all questions I had
@@insidetechltd I got mine yesterday and I love it
Subbed! Ive been watching tech videos for years and this is just clean and straightforward. Def a channel worth recommending when people need to decide which phone they need
Ah thanks so much! That’s great to hear 👊🏼
s22 is the best phone in 2022 for hand and pocket comfort. very underrated in this lineup size isn't everything
Definitely underrated!
Thank you for this review. I watched atleast 3 and this one really gave me the info I wanted regarding battery life. Good job and thank you.
Awesome, thanks a lot!
Wow the quality of your content is too good
Thank you so much! 👊🏼
What a review man keep it up👍
And brother can u help me between s22 and s22+. Rn i have a galaxy a32 which is pretty bad. This will be my first ever flagship phone purchase.pls help me
I am a normal user. I dont really game on a phone and am quite a light user i mainly use social media apps alot. As for camera i only use it alot in special occasions otherwise i use it rarely. So which is better for me..save the mone and get s22 or pit some money and get s22+....rn i am in need of a smaller phone
Definitely get the S22. It’s going to be a HUGE upgrade. It might be strange at first adjusting to the smaller screen compared to the A32, but it’s far superior in quality and everything else about the phone will be great too 👍🏼
@@insidetechltd and about the battery is it good for average user.. i only use social media alot
For an average user, yes. You’ll probably need to charge every night but that’s fairly normal nowadays
@@insidetechltd yeah thats true...thankyou so much for the information
i was interested in the S22+. But Samsung doing the Exynos shit in EU again. A bummer. Now i have the Pixel 7 Pro.
