Dear Friend! Great music Tool from a Music's Tool! Congratulations!!! Go ahead!!! Good video, sync and so on.... Muse for more, Tool for more... Greatings from HUN
Heck of a job Danny, I don't know the music but sounds like you do and you are playing it right along perfect now if you were just better looking LMAO.
I believe it is a wal mk2 it’s the same bass the bassist in tool Justin chancellor uses.looks like he also went to extreme lengths and got the same brand bass heads and amps.
@@bigrodney248 oh for sure, I'm actually preparing to build one myself. The really unique things about the electronics in them are the filter preamp, which is different from EQ, and the pickups are like 8 coil humbuckers, meaning it's like a humbucker per string. Herrick is probably the best, and lusithand, too; that's at least where I'm buying my components from. But even though sure it won't ever sound exactly like a Wal, the components are wired and made in a really similar way. So the sound is super close. It'd be cool tho to see a side by side and see if the trained ear could even tell the difference between a Wal clone and the actual thing. One would hope, but I'd guess they're really close, the real Wal would probably just have a more signature sound.
@@bigrodney248 that's a really good point, I definitely agree there. I replaced the pickup in a cheap bass with something nicer, it was like a music man style humbucker from Seymour Duncan, and even though I had a mid control, it just still was too thin for what I wanted. I almost wonder if in the wal basses that sound is more from the preamp than the pickups, bc they use like 2 different preamp for each bass in the wals (at least the mk series) and they are big boards.
@@pipespeeps5349 yeah I’m coming back to this, you’re right, it’s just a really damn close replica. Must be using imitation Wal pickups, similar for the walnut one he has
One of the coolest bass riffs in this song, Justin chancelor is underrated
Brilliant 👍
Nice job man and your tone is on point!

Nice Cover Danny! awesome interpretation! the bass you use to persuade which brand is it? it really is very similar to the Wal Bass MK2!

It's a Wal clone, so it is not a Wal but uses extremely similar components wired in the same way, just not made by Wal

Pretty slick bass, what is it?
Looks like a wal bass, or a copy of it atleast
@@pipespeeps5349 it looks pretty real
@@trigger796 it doesen’t have the wal name on the headstock so 🤷♂️
