@Patatas Con Queso You could always buy 2 of these and do S T E R E O like a pro / Wait, then again I could do multi track using just one of these mics!
I’ve had the Samson G-Track Pro for 7 months now. It is awesome. Highly recommend it. I had doubts between these two mics, but in the end I made the right decision.
Note to Windows users: The Yeti lets you set gain using either the hardware knob on the mic, and/or by setting the levels in Windows Sound Control Panel>Recording tab>(Yeti icon)>Levels. You can adjust these in any combination of Windows levels and/or hardware gain knob (although I don't recommend taking too long at these experiments!). With the Samson G-Track Pro, the Levels in Windows (and in your DAW) will appear frozen at either 0 or 100%, and all gain adjustments must be made on the microphone knob. This is "as designed". This gives the Samson mic a narrower range of possible signal levels than the Yeti -- but, the G-track gain is adequate even for Windows 10, and to me it definitely sounds way better than the Yeti.

Hello, I've just got Samson G-track pro as a present:) Feel happy. Could you tell me what soft you use to get the mic and instrument written in individual mono tracks?
@@МаксимБодэгитараипесни He uses Logic. However, you can do that with just about any DAW if you use ASIO protocol (MME doesn't support it). On Windows, you'll need an ASIO driver (do *_NOT_* use ASIO4All. It's crap).
Very tough choice to make between these two high-end microphones. I ultimately went with the Yeti in my preferred color scheme, but the Yeti Pro apparently is a bit of a step up in terms of recording quality and also has a port for XLR cable.
This was super helpful. I do not know much about audio but with your videos I get the confidence to make a good informed decision. That Blue Yeti seems like what I need. I currently use a Blue Snowball.
I pressed play from the email link without looking at the title and then thought 'Eh?' when I thought I heard G-Crack Pro and then thought that had to have been some great mic to be called crack! I would say the G-Crack Pro edged it tho.
I feel like people with voices that are pure high tones shouldn't be doing voice reviews with microphones. We need to hear voices with more mid and low tones in order to actually know how it will sound.
I find the Yeti both harsh and a little boomy somehow. Like it has a noticeable high end (but so does almost every sub $300 mic) but it also sounds slightly like it's *poorly* (imo) coloured to have extra bass for a broadcast sound. The G-Track Pro is definitely a lot better sounding on cardoid mode and bi-directional mode. I think the Yeti has a slightly better performance in the omnidirectional mode. But I don't think that slightly better performance in omni is worth the clear superiority in both cardoid and bi-directional mode. Plus the G-Track Pro has a better sampling rate and the instrument input which I do think you'll want if you're recording instruments.
For me, Samson has a little more deeper sensation, perfect for voice act, but i've noticed it sounds little "plastic" sometimes, if that makes any sense, Blue Yeti in my opinion has a better neutral and natural sound, is cheaper and has 4 patterns...
According to Samson's email reply to me today - the Samson G-Track Pro microphone is NOT actually a 24bit / 96kHz microphone. On the off chance that this is a technical support training issue, could you please confirm (in windows sound) that it is actually being detected at 24bit / 96kHz, either single or two channel? I actually thought the Yeti had a better more fuller sampling of the acoustic guitar. The Samson seemed to remove the lower range which for me is what makes a acoustic guitar sound wonderful. I would go with Samson for voice. Yeti for quitar or singing. Very close testing otherwise.
