      she is a victim, for sure. she is also guilty. i dont think anybody saying she's innocent, but turning full state witness, and the obvious influence of her (connected) career criminal boyfriend (who was found innocent in this matter???). her punishment was overly severe, and the actual guilty party got nothing. (and is now living care free and happy again in society, doing "jobs" for mates - set up, got cash) whereas who knows what happened to this woman. living in witness protection somewhere. nah, your fingers pointing at the wrong person i'm afraid. australia should be embarrassed, although it has a lot more than this to be embarrassed about.

See, there is a problem there, you used no punctuation, conjunctions, or even simple capitalization to mark the stop and start of a sentence. Rob simply used text messaging short hand. So she knew all this time that her boyfriend produced drugs and was completely OK with that, even visiting the lab premises. I can't believe the judge would think she was this innocent girl that was manipulated by her boyfriend. Was she also manipulated when she bought expensive stuff with the drug money? I think not. She was fully aware and OK with that. She was willing to get those men killed so her boyfriend can come back to work soon and keep financing her lavish lifestyle. What a despicable woman. They always feel as though they are “settling” when it comes to men and lifestyle. They firmly believe they can always do better than their current situation and won’t lose a seconds sleep throwing someone under the bus to get there. The sort to quickly jump on the bandwagon of exterminating jews or join up for war in relish. How is trying to kill two people who will put your husband in a cage for life 'in cold blood'? Moreover, they even played calls of her breaking down over it. It's not clear you understand the metaphor 'in cold blood'. Why would you bet the farm? Where's the evidence? You realize this is an entertainment show right? Not journalistic investigation of everything that happened. Probably not the best place to look for info to support a farm bet. You're just as stupidly superficial as the judges. Only you resent what was used to let her off. Because she would never fuck you.

      lol jocal17 You're hilarious. Everybody knows that if you bring up the Nazis right away to equate your target to them you've lost all credibility. You actually just went ahead and did exactly the same thing to Derek as you claim he was doing.
      Derek was working off of a very robust moral statement and drawing upon statistical facts. It should never be permissible to murder an individual if your own life is not in danger. Anything else is barbarous. It's you who needs locking up for the safety of the rest of us if you can't agree on that very fundamental axiom of civilized society.

    • @slowpoke126
      @slowpoke126 6 років тому +2

      +anton slavik "everybody knows"? What does that mean? Everybody in nazi germany 'knew' jews should be exterminated. The analogy is certainly used emptily all the time, but it can still function very well in many cases. How is it possible that human beings felt it was okay to do such things to other human beings? The fact that most view this as the worst thing humans have ever done make it perfect for making analogies. For instance, if you want to argue being a traitor is intrinsically bad, how is bringing up the idea that being a traitor in Nazi Germany would make you a good person, not a valid point? The desire to attack all analogies with nazi germany is usually the weak minded person's desire to stick to the same petty beliefs they were given, i.e. to stick to what they were told was 'good' or 'bad' just like nazis.
      When did I say what she did should be permitted? I attacked his view that it was in 'cold blood'.What statistical facts are you referring to? She tried to prevent two people from putting her lover in a cage for life, how is that 'cold blood'? You just assume the very things you wish to demonstrate. You draw this silly line between putting someone in a cage for life and killing them. Would you really consider someone who kidnaps a person and locks them in a cage in their basement for life morally superior to someone who kills another? There's certainly an argument that we need to lock her up to keep the rule of law functioning, but the attack on her is disgusting, unless you want to attack her for being a stupid bitch, which is exactly what the court concluded,.

    So the Australian courts first find Steven not guilty for organising the hit, then later in court they give the Swedish girl a reduced sentence for organising the hit stating she was acting under duress from Steven . They really are stupid down under aren't they.

    • @atwogun7751
      @atwogun7751 6 років тому +14

      Leniency aside, you seem to have a legal system that is inconsistent and makes the rules up as it goes along. If Steven was found not guilty of the hit, regardless of whether he was involved or not which lets face it he would have been, how can he possibly be implicated as the duressor to reduce the Swedish girl's sentence. It's either one or the other, make your mind up.

    • @ilaser4064
      @ilaser4064 6 років тому +2

      @twogun You do understand they're not mutually inclusive right? He was found innocent of organising the hit, he claimed (which is obviously bullshit) that she operated on her own volition and the cops didn't have enough evidence to convict the alleged hitmen. Whereas she pleaded guilty to the charge and therefore didn't have a trial...

    • @atwogun7751
      @atwogun7751 6 років тому +12

      She pleaded guilty to the charge but got a reduced sentence because the judge agreed she was under duress from Steven, who by the way had been previously found not guilty of the same crime. Does that make sense to you?

    • @ilaser4064
      @ilaser4064 6 років тому +3

      @@atwogun7751 under duress to do what exactly? I'm unaware of the judge stating she was under duress to organise a double homicide, which I think is what you're implying.
      Justice systems in practically every Western democracy work the same. She plead to a charge she most likely would have been exonerated from. Therefore she must be sentenced and it seems the judge decided to look for extrenuating circumstances to reduce the sentence.

    • @atwogun7751
      @atwogun7751 6 років тому +4

      I think you are missing my point. The courts found Steven not guilty of the hit offence. It's therefore impossible for them to suggest he had any involvement in the hit, which they did when they reduced the Swedish girls sentence. Either he's guilty and they both go down or he's not guilty and she doesn't get a reduced sentence because he wasn't involved. Instead they find him not guilty then reduce her sentence saying she was under duress by him. So the Australian court specifically reduced her sentence for the hit saying she was under duress by Steven. How is that possible when (rightly or wrongly) he was found not guilty for the hit.

      Some posters may not like the op’s comment but there certainly can be bias - especially when a young and attractive woman is the perp as in this case. The bias is often unconscious - studies have shown that even other women (and hetero women so sexual attraction is not the motivating factor) will treat the attractive young woman more favorably when it comes to a punishment or criminal conviction. It has to do with how women (especially young attractive women who look “innocent”) are viewed as not being capable of committing crimes, especially violent crimes, without a man directing it in some way.

    Drug dealer rule number one:
    ALWAYS put as much possible distance between yourself and the product.
    Do not buy equipment yourself,
    Do not involve yourself in the manufacture, logistics or sales,

    If she hadn't been stopped by the police, the two men would have been killed - she was not planning on stopping. She does not deserve to be treated like the cute little misguided kid in a moment of love and bliss - this was planned over several months with lots of time to back out. Looks, prestige and money help a lot in having the justice system treat you better than others.

      Horrible decision for Justice Steven Rothman.
      Convicted Lindstorm's criminal liability should not have been mitigated due to the circumstance of duress. There was no duress in the first place. There is no showing that Lindstorm was threatened or forced to arrange the murder plan of the two witnesses. It was not established that Lindstorm was compelled to solicit the hitmen in order to avoid a greater evil that will befall upon her life or limb if she does not follow the instruction of her drug lord boyfriend. On the contrary, Lindstorm has all the freedom not to be associated with her murderous and drug-lord boyfriend who was already in jail. Those phone calls were not grave, actual nor serious that would create reasonable fear upon her to succumb to the evil plans of her boyfriend. She should have served the full sentence in the crime of conspiring to murder.
      Justice was not served to the People of Australia. Poor mate.

    Unbelievable!! This girl is not innocent nor manipulated as she very willingly planned to have two innocent men killed and then ratted out her fiancé in order to save her own arse. That's cunning and calculated!! She deserves to be in prison for the full time for conspiring to murder and her fiancé should have had a mandatory life sentence for manufacturing and dealing in commercial quantities of illegal drugs. They both got off quiet easily....why? Was the judiciary part of their drug or men's club clientele ??????
